Sugar Slaves; Australian South Sea Islanders are descendants of the Pacific Islands Blackbird trade.

  • Australian South Sea Islanders are descendants of the Pacific Islands Blackbird trade that started in NSW 1847 by Benjamin Boyd then the influx to QLD in 1863: Between 1863 and 1904 about 60,000 Pacific Islanders were transported to Queensland, where they toiled to create the sugar plantations of the far north. Some of these islanders moved there willingly on the promise of income, whilst others were kidnapped from their island homes. Pacific Islanders were ‘recruited’ from various islands including the Solomon Islands, Vanuatu (then the New Hebrides) and the Loyalty Islands of New Caledonia. This human trafficking is euphemistically known as ‘blackbirding’. The Islanders worked in harsh conditions in the Queensland sugar fields, conditions were akin to slavery. According to the Department of the Premier and Cabinet, conditions varied from plantation to plantation depending on how considerate the owners and overseers were. Abuse of the Islanders included being beaten, being deprived of food or leisure time, medical neglect and sometimes separation of married couples. In the late 19th century trade unions in Australia were fighting for workers’ rights but the Pacific Islander workers of Queensland were banned from organising as a group. They were forbidden by law from striking and from leaving their place of employment. Workers who left without permission or ‘absconded’ faced three months imprisonment. Because the Pacific Islanders were paid so poorly compared to other unskilled workers in Australia, they were seen by some as a threat to employment. Opposition to these non-white immigrants came in some cases from those involved in the labour movement. They did not object when the Commonwealth decided to deport most Pacific Islanders between 1904 and 1908 as part of the implementation of the Immigration Restriction Act 1901 (often referred to as the ‘White Australia policy’). In the southern states of Australia there were others, including those in labour movement, who took a different view and called for fair treatment of the Pacific Island workers. After Federation a few thousand Pacific Islanders were not deported and were permitted to remain in Australia. Today north Queensland is home to more than 20,000 of their descendants. The Call for Recognition: a report on the situation of Australian South Sea Islanders, Human Rights and Equal Opportunity Commission, 1992 - cited in ‘The Call for Recognition’, Department of the Premier and Cabinet (Queensland) which has still not been actioned in the twenty first century.

    Sons and daughters of the pacific slaves should take the responsible company and Australian government to court and seek compensation. We can try this in Australian court and see how Australia respond.

      Its more than likely these black people came from England, History is not being told proper its been white washed and hidden what had happened in Europe. They are hebrews from the bible and are under the curses of Deutronomy 28.. but this 400 year curse ends this year and millions of waking up each week. here is a link if either of you have time to watch it. th-cam.com/video/crWFMHh-LkY/w-d-xo.html

      But therein lies a puzzle: "Modern Native Americans closely resemble people of China, Korea, and Japan… but the oldest American skeletons do not," says archaeologist and paleontologist James Chatters, lead author on the study and the owner of Applied Paleoscience, a research consulting service based in Bothell, Washington.
      The small number of early American specimens discovered so far have smaller and shorter faces and longer and narrower skulls than later Native Americans, more closely resembling the modern people of Africa, Australia, and the South Pacific. "This has led to speculation that perhaps the first Americans and Native Americans came from different homelands," Chatters continues, "or migrated from Asia at different stages in their evolution."

      Davinci sullivan yes the original peoples of america are, the truth is coming out fast now. The lies are being broken as YAH is taking control and they dont even realise it. Seems The Most High has it for Australia at present with the floods and fires, the leaders and people had better acknowledge the children of the slaves fast. But more than likely its far to late with the curse lifting this year. Shalom

    When I was in boarding school at Scots College in Warwick in the 70s,we went on a school excursion to the Sunshine Coast. At Buderim in the afternoon we went to see a sugar burning and cane cutting. One of the person cutting the cane was black but did not look aboriginal. He looked Melanesian. In the 60s when I was growing up in Bougainville during the Australian colonizing we were known as natives or kanakas. I first read about tthis slave trade at boarding school. One of my realive was blackbirded to Fiji to cut cane in 1862. Last year 2022 his decendents visited our clan here back in Buka, Bougainville PNG. They came back from as far as America.

    Many of these Kanakas went on to own Cane Farms in North Queensland. These South Sea Islanders were hard workers. The Hennaways, Coles & Lamptons were very respected families in Ayr. These people were not entitled to anything the A&TSI's are entitled too.

    Deuteronomy 28:15 But it shall come to pass, if thou wilt not hearken unto the voice of the LORD thy God, to observe to do all his commandments and his statutes which I command thee this day; that all these curses shall come upon thee, and overtake thee:
    Deuteronomy 28:16 Cursed shalt thou be in the city, and cursed shalt thou be in the field.
    Deuteronomy 28:17 Cursed shall be thy basket and thy store.
    Deuteronomy 28:30 Thou shalt betroth a wife, and another man shall lie with her: thou shalt build an house, and thou shalt not dwell therein: thou shalt plant a vineyard, and shalt not gather the grapes thereof.
    Deuteronomy 28:32 Thy sons and thy daughters shall be given unto another people, and thine eyes shall look, and fail with longing for them all the day long: and there shall be no might in thine hand.
    Deuteronomy 28:33 The fruit of thy land, and all thy labours, shall a nation which thou knowest not eat up; and thou shalt be only oppressed and crushed alway:
    Deuteronomy 28:41 Thou shalt beget sons and daughters, but thou shalt not enjoy them; for they shall go into captivity.
    Deuteronomy 28:47 Because thou servedst not the LORD thy God with joyfulness, and with gladness of heart, for the abundance of all things;
    Deuteronomy 28:48 Therefore shalt thou serve thine enemies which the LORD shall send against thee, in hunger, and in thirst, and in nakedness, and in want of all things: and he shall put a yoke of iron upon thy neck, until he have destroyed thee.
    Deuteronomy 28:49 The LORD shall bring a nation against thee from far, from the end of the earth, as swift as the eagle flieth; a nation whose tongue thou shalt not understand;
    Deuteronomy 28:50 A nation of fierce countenance, which shall not regard the person of the old, nor shew favour to the young:
    Deuteronomy 28:68 And the LORD shall bring thee into Egypt again with ships, by the way whereof I spake unto thee, Thou shalt see it no more again: and there ye shall be sold unto your enemies for bondmen and bondwomen, and no man shall buy you.
    Revelation 13:10 He that leadeth into captivity shall go into captivity: he that killeth with the sword must be killed with the sword. Here is the patience and the faith of the saints.
    Luke 1:68 Blessed be the Lord God of Israel; for he hath visited and redeemed his people,
    Luke 1:69 And hath raised up an horn of salvation for us in the house of his servant David;
    Luke 1:70 As he spake by the mouth of his holy prophets, which have been since the world began:
    Luke 1:71 That we should be saved from our enemies, and from the hand of all that hate us;
    Matthew 1:21 And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name JESUS: for he shall save his people from their sins.

    "It is childish to suppose that on islands which contain so many returned labourers there can be the slightest doubt as to the terms of employment on the plantations. This ridiculous supposition is, however, frequently put forward. And the answer of our correspondent is that, going in a labour schooner with the hope of exposing untold iniquities in the traffic, he found the natives in a conspiracy against him. Some accepted the terms, and some declined them, but all acted of their own free will. Under the present regulations the so-called scandal of the labour traffic is merely the gossip of old women... The profits on sugar growing are not large enough to admit of a system of slavery under the present regulations. Whatever the planter might desire, he must be content to treat the Polynesian as a free labourer.” The Argus, Melbourne, 22-12-1892.

      Not childish if you were there or your ancestors. Even to date it the foreigners who are keeping Australian prosper. As the video said white men did not want to work. White man Spanish, Americans, Germans, French did awful things in the past. There are generations alive who can vouch to slavery.

    Slavery! Rubbish. You need to look at history more closely. The vast majority were indentured, like white apprentices were up until the 1960s. When the Kanakas returned to their islands they often took the firearms they had bought with their wages. This made them important men at home.

    • @newday7764
      @newday7764 6 ปีที่แล้ว +16

      That is devastating what happen blackbirding. Also, are not African. Just because a person has darker skin and kurly hair does NOT mean they are African. Out of Africa = theory not a fact this is why is called out of Africa theory and not out of African fact. I know many people believe this theory because schools have taught this so we think why would it be a lie we are taught? but it is a lie. Books are fine, but also talk to people and get their history from actual people of the land too. You will see many indigenous people all over the world are similar but not the same and not all from Africa.

      A "theory" in the scientific world means fact, this is why it's called the theory of relativity, theory of Gravity etc.

    • @newday7764
      @newday7764 6 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      You are right about this in scientific world theory is different from everyday theory. Also "evidence" pushed to mainstream to be accepted will be "fact" regardless. I dont think human life started in Africa and science with push back has been slowly moving away from it for years and years Im sure you know. Before OOAfrica theory it was Out of Asia Theory unless mistaken. More scientists are returning to out of Asia...Eurasia with pushback but not as much push back as previously. Saying that modern Africans migrated into Africa from places like Asia. In fact some black African tribes themselves have oral histories from older ones that they migrated into Africa from Asia and MidEast. Is true they migrated into Africa? Are the oral histories true? Obv Idk, but its interesting. Asia, Africa/ME and Europe are one connected landmass above water anway.
