  • Tony’s itchy feet take him to tropical Townsville. Plenty of war history here, but as usual, it’s the hidden history that uncovers the not-so-well-known side of a far North Queensland treasure. High-altitude graffiti, the invention of texting! Townsville will surprise you.

My mother was a child in Townsville during WWII. Later moved to Brisbane.

Little old lady from Everett, Wash. U.S.A. In the local post office there are still spy windows all over inside so the postal inspectors can watch
the ' little people ' working away.

Blacktown is in outer western Sydney, so you can't use that.
Eddy Mabo will live for ever on the 2017 Australian 50 cent coin with QE2.

He can be both. Different times and different environments breed different morals. It was also two centuries ago. Let's move on, people.

Agreed! Let's move on from glorifying some random white bastard with no connection to the city and come up with a more apt name.

Two centuries isn’t that long for actions to be excused or forgotten about. Humans had Morals in those times. How about you move on from the fact that We can never move on from this? Grow up. The only people he’s a hero to are those who weren’t affected by his egregious actions.
