Hi Alex, new name sounds a touch Commercial, depends where you want to go with it. But both are OK. Thanks for exposing the potential of the local fishing scene. I for one was struggling. Keep up the great work. Cheers Mirek
Its this cooler time of the year I found best to go down there and pick off the Snook. I found having breathable waders with multiple layers of insulation under them were good so I could walk out a little way and get the further distance needed, especially at low tide when it starts getting a bit shallow and the lures can get a bit hung up on the rocks. Was also fun to be able to wade out and target them with a fly rod. My best down there was 83cm and crocodile death rolled up my line and snapped the tip of my rod off.
Great video mate pity about the water on your lens but now you know , i grew up fishing this area in the 60's and 70's ,a mates dad used to catch snapper of the rocks down there a long time ago ,have caught a few snook from my boat when i had it round there and lost a few as well great area back in the day we used to get huge abalone from just on the rocks but all gone now had some great times in that area as a kid take care .
Hi Lachlan, Glenelg jetty is a good jetty for a bit of an all rounder. There are lots of salmon trout in shallow, aswell as the occasional mullet, flathead, bream, whiting. Out the end there are red mullet, kgw, snook, squid, trevally, garfish, tommies!
Hey mate really good video, I enjoyed every moment of it. I absolutely love chasing and targeting snook, bit harsh saying the fight like a wet sock some are excellent fighting haha also I have really enjoyed your recent and frequent uploads keep it up!
South Oz Adventures Really appreciate it mate! Thought I'd film something a little different and chase some coastal species. I do agree with that one, some do pull a bit of string!
Michael B Cheers Michael. I should have explained why! Because I want to capture the attention of more general fishos, rather than mostly south australians. Not saying it doesn't already, but it may make a slight difference in the long run. ☺
AlexsFishin - Fishing in South Australia in that case a name change might be good. Keep Australia in your comment though cause a lot of people search for that. Aussies can only watch so much American largemouth bass fishing... outlet sounds a bit like you’re running a store though. Maybe ‘adventures’ or something... keep up the vlogs man. It’s great.
Bugger mate! Did you fish West Lakes? The past few days it has almost shut down due to the dinoflagellate bloom. Did you see the pink layer of gunk on the surface?
AlexsFishin - Fishing in South Australia yeah at the inlet there was all of this pink stuff and not even the puffer fish were biting when we resulted to bait
Yep. I reckon give it a miss for a month or so. The onkaparinga river is starting to fire up again, so that might be worth a crack. I reckon I'll be hitting it up soon!
Awesome vid dude, its nice to finally get tips for adelaide area
Awesome my favourite Adelaide angler.

Great fishing vid Alex!
Love the bloopers at the end
Fantastic job. You have amazing skills
Cool Adelaide metro fishin video. Learned heaps. Catch & BBQ em.
Hi Alex, just wondering which way did you head too... left or right of the boat ramp?
Alex’s Fishin Adventures
I'm amazed at how well the sunglass-camera works. Such a great idea... I prefer the footage from the Sony over the GoPro too. Great video once again.
Marx Fishing Thanks mate! Didn't have any mounts so improvised 😁

Wonderful mate, thanks for sharing. I'm sure it holds a lot of good memories, that coastline.
They make excellent bait for mulloway and snapper. Tuna and macks love them alive. Where there's one, there's a few dozen.
awesome video The catch and cook idea would be really good i think you should cook garfish.
Cheers mate. I will wait till the weather warms up for garfish! But I like the sound of that :)
Nice vid dude. More land based snook!!
yes catch and cook squid!
Great video Alex
Small white flick baits seem to work really well for Adelaide metro
Would love the catch and cook!!! Where you near hallett cove or further up the coast?
Dylan Stewart Cool, will work on it! I mentioned the location a couple times in the video. ☺
Beautiful Video Congratulations friend! *hug!* 👍🎣
100% a catch and cook and you should do a snook one at marino.
like a snook catch and cook
the pattern on that squid jig is good but usually i run one of them with a blue belly green and an accent of yellow
and i would love some kayak fishing off marino that would be sick
Can you do a mullaway fishing video would love to see it
Great video mate 👍
good job alex
if you use waders you can stand in the water so you don't get wet and you can hit the deeper water
Good on u alex
do u use leader line?
Would love a catch and cook video
Fight like an old sock hahahaha i lost a few lures out there the other day those rocks are ruthless to the amatuer fisherman
Nice video. Do you know where any good jetty spots around adelaide.

Another great video as usual mate. I would love to see another Onk session.
Bernard Withall Cheers mate! When the bream start their spawn run I will be fishing it more often!
Gidday Alex, everyone catching plenty of bream but nobody cooking it. Maybe cook it crumbed in garlic butter ay mate ?

You should make catch and cook videos
awesome video what camera and rod/reel setup do you use
SaUSagE bOI For my action camera I have a Sony action camera. Other camera is a digital one. Olympus tough stylus.
As for rod and reel, a daiwa seabass 9'6 matched with a Stratic ci4 spooled with 8lb power pro braid and 12lb leader.
How the hell do you not get constantly snagged?
where is this
like your videos keep the good work up
Aswell if bait fishing for snook what would you recomend🤔
dat boi whitebait or bluebait under a float.
you have so many lures
Mate is that a seajigger rod?
Scott Bryant Mentioned It's a Daiwa Seabass 962. Mentioned it in the vid.
AlexsFishin - Fishing in South Australia sorry that's one I thought. Got the same one
What reel were you using?
Stradic ci4 2500.
yeah a salmon maybe
they are amazing to eat if you smoke them
razzorbladz So I have heard! Still yet to give that a shot. Sounds tasty!
Enjoying the new format. Keep it up. Not sure about the new name, is it causing problems as it is?
Catch and cook would be epic! Any/all species.
