@@salkamaria apparently he is a sperm donor to a lesbian couple (she is a close friend) and an active parent. But when he got on the show, he deleted all photos and posts on social media regarding them and distanced himself. His mother also did the same.

42:17 I think this whole “production CHOOSING” is suddenly sprung on the process. I think they just decided not to continue and bailed but production Had to include them in order to flesh out the Hannah/Nick/ Leo triangle.

i feel like after past allegations and lawsuits, the weren’t gonna force Brittany into a hotel room with a man she was clearly uncomfortable with. The ‘not choosen’ blurb I am sure was to allow them both to gracefully bow out when Britany decided she wasn’t into it. I wonder if they actually even went to Miami. She could barely stand that man touching her.
yep, this is it! I doubt production really cares that much about the ethical concerns but surely they understand after past incidents that this is a liability from both a legal and PR perspective that cannot be outweighed by how entertaining they’d be for the audience.
Yeah I felt the same way. I was SO GLAD production chose to not platform him and keep her pressured to be around him. Letting them go was the BEST thing they could have done. He is scary, and seems like it's a high possibility his behavior could lead to physical abuse unless he gets help. &He already displayed emotional abuse behaviour. You can tell production intervened with him already because the shift between the last two Hannah talks it's clear he had already been told he needed to let it go. I honestly think they partly showed him so much as a PSA about him. They've never shown a couple that didn't make it at all that much. Normally they just don't show other connections.
But she chose to go to Miami with him after the show so clearly she didn’t feel that unsafe
@@rachellerockel that’s true, this is just speculation, we don’t really know. it could have just been a matter of feeling safer in a situation that she was in control of instead of production but yeah who knows.
People are really digging into the Brittany x Leo being cut but I really think it was just a production and budget choice.
To follow a 7th couple would mean hiring additional crew, additional crew meals, additional editing team for hours of footage, additional lodging for cast and crew etc. In an interview the producer noted that they chose to cut them because they didn't think it was likely that they would get very far. And this was a correct assessment.
As to why they kept in the footage, it was because the love triangle impacted Hannah and Nick and shows context for their relationship more.
This being said - as a viewer it is incredibly frustrating not to have a conclusion for them :(

45:30 I don't consider this potential explanation for not including this couple as production being a martyr, it's very interesting to me you have that perception of that scenario. To me, it reads more like saving face, not wanting to admit that one of your guaranteed money maker couples decided they didn't want to continue on the show so you take back control and say, "actually we didnt even want them, lol."

1) I doubt Hannah actually knows football positions, I think “football player” has one image in her mind.
2) He dropped the Henry Cavil comparison and even though he tagged it with LESS BUFF just stop using “celeb” comparisons. Its Megan Fox 2.0. When you can’t see a person at all dropping a celeb comparison is just a bad idea.
That being said, I am still annoyed Hannah talked and talked about being judged and then was so judgmental herself.
@@TheDawnofVanlife being a cheerleader you take one look at the field and you see sizes from 5"6 and tiny to 6"5 and giant. So I find it hard to believe she didn't have the possibility he was a smaller guy when he said he was kicker. That's kinda like one of the first things you pick up on. However he did say he was better looking then Travis Kelce and that probably was the nail in the coffin 😂
@@scrappy2bootMaybe you do, but I do know non-professional only-high school cheerleaders who do not know one position from the other, not really. Cheerleaders aren’t just for the football team and/or are there own competitive team depending on the school. So many a one doesn’t know one position from the other in Football or even whats going on in a game. They show up and cheer and go home. A high school non-competitive cheerleader isn’t necessarily a football fan. For Hanah Football player has one body type and that body type in her head was supported by his celebrity references.

I think the choice to not continue with Leo and Brittany makes sense for the kinetic team that produces Love Is Blind. Every year they have several couples who get engaged who don’t continue🤷🏾♀️. I think that they just applied whatever formula they use every year to Leo and Brittany. Also they tape every couple in the pod-and they don’t know which storylines are going to hit until they’re done taping the whole show. So there’s a good chance that they thought that if Leo and Brittany story wasn’t gonna go any farther than Mexico then it would be a waste of time to invest in them going to Mexico a rental and a wedding. Also Hannah doesn’t care a fig about Leo so the triangle story is a dud as well.
Also LIB is currently being sued for keeping a woman in a relationship she wanted to escape from. So they probably over corrected this season.

50:57 I agree that Stephen is kind of a wild card, but I also believe that people can change. He mentioned his father being a strict republican who votes only republican so I can see where he got that idea from. I appreciate him saying he doesn't agree with that anymore and he felt more passionate about voting in the next election against Trump. I believe he got more interested in politics after that which is why he changed his view. I also like how openly he talked about it. He got a little weird about him finding out he is like a tiny amout black😭 he said he did some research about black history after that. He seems like a good guy to me for now but we'll see.

There was a budget for only 5 couples but they took 6. Their match so so late the budget was spent. They went to Miami on their own and broke up after.

And it seems to me you dont know how the show works, they edit it like people are getting engaged sooner then others, but all the engagements and all the reveals happen on the SAME DAY. That's why they are dressed up for their proposals bc they reached engagement day. There is no way they willingly chose a 'boring' couple over a drama heavy one.

It was Leo and Hannah that had the worm conversation, not Hannah and Nick. Honestly, I don’t think Nick is a bad guy he’s just a charmer but I think that’s just him and it goes over differently in a like bar setting where you can see he’s okay looking. I also think him and hannah are generally toxic and wrong for each other.

45:30 i disagree. They said they "didn't get chosen" to save face for sure. I'm pretty sure they both decided to drop out on their own. Either Brittany got thought she got her happy end with a rich man and they both decided to ditch the show bc what would they get out of it that mans already a millionaire lmao OR she really was too uncomfortable with him and decided to call it of which I don't think so. I think she wanted her rich vacay in miami instead. I believe none of that that the production decided they wouldn't be a part of the show anymore.
Either way it's not the production "robbing" us because why would they ditch that opportunity for drama. Rich man and a gold digger would've been a money maker story this season...

Do you think they were responding to lack of real diversity criticisms and keeping nondiverse couples to a minimum? Obviously that was likely in DC but they never had this many non-White couples before on the honeymoons especially black women, even when those couples existed in the pods.
DC is a very diverse city, and you really don't know who's going to connect in the pods until they open. So I doubt it was intentional, just happened the people who got to marriage weren't mostly white
