Using a patient point-of-view approach, this short video presents a simulated clinical encounter for a patient admitted with COPD and a secondary pneumothorax. The patient requires a chest drain which is unfortunately inserted on the incorrect side.
This video can be used to discuss root causes behind errors and the patient’s perspective of healthcare incidents.
This video is used by TSCSC to exemplify potential negative human factor influences on staff performance in a simulated healthcare environment.
