I hope you guys like the list...There are arguably better fragrances than these 11 scents but imo, out of the best selling designer fragrances for men today, these are how i'd rank them...How would u rank the best sellers out right now? and besides "One Million" by Paco, were there any scents made over the last 10 years that i missed?
Interesting content and good selection of popular frags. When you mention "best sellers" - from where do you derive the statistical data and is it indicative of U.S. sales or the international market?
that's not a top seller now but you could make a case that it was so it should've been included but...Actually you know what? that is a great suggestion...That would've made honorable mentions for sure...I'm not sure what scent I would've bumped off the list for it.
Glad you stayed current for this list. It's the sensible thing to do. Also, I am tired of certain creators taking it easy on certain brands/fragrances because they are still in love with previous formulations. Like, if it's bad or neutered now, that is what we should hold most paramount in our critiques. And to be fair about Chanel, at least they're consistent. Like, they do men's fragrances just about as often as they do men's clothing, if not more often which isn't saying much. As they are a femme-centric brand, so men's anything is just not what they are all about. As a result, I really don't get why the male-dominated fragrance community put them on a pedestal. I kinda want to say to everyone "they don't care about your typical tastes", haha. Also, you had to hit us with the "Woken" Matt Hardy "obsolete, hahahaha. "I'll fade away and classify myself as obsolete! Obsolete!" And The Cheesecake Factory is great! Funny that you made the comparison, but it makes sense. Really happy to hear a reviewer go off the current formulations of fragrances instead of first formulations, can be so misleading when a reviewer makes out a fragrance performs well then you realise they have reviewd the vintage so performance isnt the same... big props to you E!!!! 👍

Where are you in the FB groups backing me up! I've been on the disclosure kick regarding batch dates and codes of fragrances in reviews for over a year now! *THE BATCH CODE/DATE ON THE BOTTOM OF THE BOX AND THE BOTTOM/SIDE OF THE BOTTLE IS THE MOST IMPORTANT PART OF A REVIEW!* I've been disappointed in the performance of bottles I've purchased too many times after seeing reviews that are two years old. Some people actually argue that batch dates aren't that important! Just take a look at these reviews of Mugler's Pure Havane. My 2016 bottle has lousy performance: imgur.com/kQGwSXg In my opinion, if a TH-cam review doesn't mention the date/batch code of the bottle reviewed, it's pointless.
Shave- a-thon I totally agree, i dont tend to view much on facebook within the frag com but I am all for reviewers detailing the batch numbers on reviewed frags for sure 👍nothing worse than a reviewer giving inaccurate information regarding performance from a vintage fragrance and I've also made that point to other well known youtube reviewers such as fragrance bros, BFL and Redolessence. No argument here.
It looks like your last reply was deleted but it doesn't have to be vintage to have been reformulated. Bogart Pour Homme's pre-2014 bottles are reported to be stronger than the current bottles. The same goes for the last few years of Mugler's offerings.

I feel Invictus, One Million, and Armani Code Profumo could all be interchanged between 11th and 13th spots (IMO). I personally enjoy TF Grey Vetiver better than some of the scents on the list, but TF GV probably didn't qualify because I don't believe it is in the BEST SELLING caliber as all of the fragrances you did mention. Thank you for bringing your unique perspective and humor to the community.

La nuit de l’homme that was so hard for me to let go and leave in the past. Still hurts to this day! Just no where near what it used to be. I couldn’t walk 5 minutes inside or outside without a beautiful girl asking what I was wearing or smelling my neck. You’re killing me YSL.

I absolutely agree with Pure Malt not being able to last. I’ve heard many stories of the legendary beast mode this fragrance once was but I wasn’t into the fragrance game during its prime. Well informative, thank you.
Solid vid E. Like you said, love em or hate em, these frags have had a HUGE impact on the mainstream frag game. Just look at all of the frags that tried to copy the La Nuit cardamom, or the Sauvage ambroxan. Excited for whatever the next wave of notes will be...hoping we get some fruitier but solid performing summer frags in the near future.
You're one of the few reviewers that mentions and is disgusted by reformulations and for that you have my appreciation. I think batch codes and dates are the most important part of a review and should be disclosed in every review on TH-cam. The way they're reformulating these scents into weak mouthwash, one has to fly out the door right after spraying to meet his date, then go in for a quick smooch before the entire scent disappears! I'm not sure why these houses bother to release fragrances with 2 hours of projection.

Great list! Dead-on explanation on Sauvage. The first time I smelled it, my response was just "meh". Now it's one of my dumb-reaches. If Dunhill Icon was made by Dior, Chanel, D&G, Prada, or someone else, I think it would be a best-seller and worthy of inclusion on the list. But most people overlook it. Glad you didn't, E! You nailed it with this list. I can only quibble with the order. Dior Sauvage and Bleu de Chanel are numbers 1 and 2. No question. Also, 1 Million belongs on your list and Prada L'Homme and Aqua di Gio Profumo are, at best, honorable mentions. Lastly, I think the EDPs you named are awesome, but their EDT predecessors are the Hall-of-Fame versions.

I have to say, as much as I would like to appreciate D&G The One I have tested it three different times on skin and every time the result is a beef jerky smell to my nose. I was expecting great things from Pure Malt but felt let down by its performance. As much as I don't care for Sauvage it does belong but give me Eau Sauvage any day! Love ADG Profumo and so does the old lady! Good video!
Love your content E! I would add Jimmy Choo Man to the list. Yeah the performance sucks, but it's DNA is in a bunch if other fragrances-Coach for men, Obsessed, just to name two. I also get mad compliments when I rock it.

Great video as always! How about doing a top ten list of flankers that you feel are better than the original fragrance (Bleu de Chanel EDP immediately comes to my mind as I like it far more than the original EDT).

Congrats bro, you got a new subscriber! Such a good list, I gotta put my nose on some of these! Not sure about why Profumo is getting such a massive hype and the original AdG is being trashed all over. I'm a fan of the original (even with the weak performance) and when I nosed Profumo the first time all I smelled was incense. It made me feel slightly nauseaus and very disappointed. Gonna get a small sample of it to try it on my skin to see if my opinion changes.. Ps Givenchy Pour Homme is my number one Hall of Fame designer scent!

Great list... I always value your opinion on fragrances aside from Jaipur homme edp which smells like old lady church perfume imo lol... I probably would have added the king of cheapies Nautica Voyage. People who are not even into fragrances know about voyage

You are the man E!! Amazing video again! I couldn't agree more with you, I'm not so sure about the EDP from Terre d'Hermès, but I do trust your opinion. You left out CH Men, that is indeed a special scent. Maybe as an honorable mention it would have been nice. I think also Pure Havane had an amazing influence and will be well remembered. Keep on going E!! (I would love to hear from you a full review on Bleu de Channel EDP if one day you wanna do it, and maybe on Mugler Aura too).
I actually like those two...But ChMen and Pure Havane aren't top sellers in the market right now. and ChMen reformulation disqualifies it for me. lol...I am lucky to own an older bottle.
I agree One Million should have been mentioned. We all know the hate it recieves but no one can ever say it was not a game changer. It is a beautiful scent. But was just so loved that us fragrance junkies couldn't be unique with because 8 out of 10 people rock this fragrance. But every once in awhile I still spray it on.

Thanks a lot for watching Bernie...If I were to choose, I'd go with the Pure Parfum version over the EDT...the Edt is more fresh from the start....But I prefer the edp because the orange comes across thicker from the start.
For me Acqua di Gio profumo is a great sent however I have problems wearing it in the daytime to me it's got night all over it and the Nuit de l'homme for me isn't quite masculine enough it's got like a little lipstick feel to it but like most of your frags thanks
Terre is a better constructed scent imo....Agreed 100%...But I considered appeal and versatility and Profumo overwhelms Terre edp in those departments. Terre edp isn't as versatile. So i gave it to Profumo for that reason...I really appreciate you for sharing your thoughts brother...
Can't argue with that. It's also a more polarizing, like some people really don't like the scent of Terre (although I think they are crazy, ha). I don't know anyone that thought Profumo smelled bad.

I was expecting great things from Pure Malt but felt let down by its performance. As much as I don't care for Sauvage it does belong but give me Eau Sauvage any day! Love ADG Profumo and so does the old lady! Good video!

Love your content E! I would add Jimmy Choo Man to the list. Yeah the performance sucks, but it's DNA is in a bunch if other fragrances-Coach for men, Obsessed, just to name two. I also get mad compliments when I rock it.

Congrats bro, you got a new subscriber! Such a good list, I gotta put my nose on some of these! Not sure about why Profumo is getting such a massive hype and the original AdG is being trashed all over. I'm a fan of the original (even with the weak performance) and when I nosed Profumo the first time all I smelled was incense. It made me feel slightly nauseaus and very disappointed. Gonna get a small sample of it to try it on my skin to see if my opinion changes.. Ps Givenchy Pour Homme is my number one Hall of Fame designer scent!

Great list... I always value your opinion on fragrances aside from Jaipur homme edp which smells like old lady church perfume imo lol... I probably would have added the king of cheapies Nautica Voyage. People who are not even into fragrances know about voyage

Me too broo...It's just not a top seller...It's my favorite of the Terre's by a lot...I reviewed it a while back...I couldn't put it on this list because Pure Parfum out sells it.

You left out CH Men, that is indeed a special scent. Maybe as an honorable mention it would have been nice.
I think also Pure Havane had an amazing influence and will be well remembered.
Keep on going E!! (I would love to hear from you a full review on Bleu de Channel EDP if one day you wanna do it, and maybe on Mugler Aura too).
I actually like those two...But ChMen and Pure Havane aren't top sellers in the market right now. and ChMen reformulation disqualifies it for me. lol...I am lucky to own an older bottle.

I agree One Million should have been mentioned. We all know the hate it recieves but no one can ever say it was not a game changer. It is a beautiful scent. But was just so loved that us fragrance junkies couldn't be unique with because 8 out of 10 people rock this fragrance. But every once in awhile I still spray it on.

Thanks a lot for watching Bernie...If I were to choose, I'd go with the Pure Parfum version over the EDT...the Edt is more fresh from the start....But I prefer the edp because the orange comes across thicker from the start.

For me Acqua di Gio profumo is a great sent however I have problems wearing it in the daytime to me it's got night all over it and the Nuit de l'homme for me isn't quite masculine enough it's got like a little lipstick feel to it but like most of your frags thanks

Terre is a better constructed scent imo....Agreed 100%...But I considered appeal and versatility and Profumo overwhelms Terre edp in those departments. Terre edp isn't as versatile. So i gave it to Profumo for that reason...I really appreciate you for sharing your thoughts brother...
Can't argue with that. It's also a more polarizing, like some people really don't like the scent of Terre (although I think they are crazy, ha). I don't know anyone that thought Profumo smelled bad.
