Speaking as an EMT, the information that you shared for providing information for EMS was spot on. Some additional helpful information when making a list of medications is a brief description of what the medication is for. This way when you give the list to an EMT or paramedic, they can see what the medication is for if you are taking an uncommon medication.
Glad to hear that Dexter is doing better and hope he has a full and speedy recovery.

Best wishes to Dex for a quick recovery. I recently went through something like this when my Daughter had an epileptic episode while camping. One other tip I might offer....
Right after 911, I was in contact with the campground host giving them a heads up that an ambulance was coming, and direct them please to site xyz... That might be another number to get at check in for your whiteboard, is the host or entrance shack phone number. In my case, Park Rangers monitor the dispatch for police and emergency, and were at my RV before the paramedics.

I am an AEMT in upsate Ny, this video is 100% truthful. It’s amazing how many people don’t even know their home address and/ or medications. I love that you guys brought up that 911 is for emergency’s and that it is not a taxi service obviously that is a big industry issue right now. I love your guy’s videos and we just got ourselves a camper. Hopefully we see y’all on the road soon!

I'm so glad he's doing better. We also had that with our cat, 2 wks ago. Thankfully, we were "home" for our yearly appts, so we were able to see our own vets.
Also, thank you for your clear directions for calling 911. My husband and I are former paramedics and I am a retired 911 dispatcher. You NAILED all of the issues that callers have when they call. Thank you. Give Dexter a hug for us.

We are sorry to hear of Dexter not being well. We are glad he is on the mend. This video even though solemn and a big departure from your normal videos was very helpful and informative. Being long time part timers we usually post our campground address on our fridge. I admit it was for quick reference when ordering pizza. You have shed a whole new light on things. So glad that Dex is doing good. I have 3 teenagers and let me tell you when something is going on with a child it makes your heart sink so it's a tough situation. You guys are amazing. Keep a positive attitude and keep on keeping on.

I am so happy that Dexter is doing better... We will pray for the little guy. I have fur babies myself and RV too, and your video taught me so much on how to be prepared for any medical thing that might occur, pets, ourselves or otherwise. My husband and me had a great much-needed discussion about readiness in different situations. Thanks ya'll... Dexter is a strong little kid and much loved and he will do just fine.

What a great topic to discuss especially for RVing and traveling in general. You two did a GREAT job telling everyone to write down the address to take notes of key features of what is around. This may well be the most informative, important video I have ever watched with regard to RV living. Thank you! As someone who has worked as a CT Tech at a Level 1 trauma center, all of your suggestions are so important to improving your care. Sadly, in the 5 years we have been FT, the only thing I am cautious about is knowing what county I am in just in case of bad weather. This taught me that I need to up my game in emergency preparedness. I should know better. So sorry to hear about Dexter but glad he's home.

EXCELLENT VIDEO on so many fronts! First of all, I hope Dexter pulls thru and with all the love, thoughts and prayers, I am confident he will. Everybody needs to see and watch this video for some great tips for both RV'ers and us 'sticks and bricks' people. I am going to create a list like you suggested for both my wife and I in case we need it. And the older we get, the chances go higher that we may.
Camping emergencies. They do happen when you are camping and it happened to us in a very big way. Be prepared and what Carl and Renee said is excellent advice!

Our youngest had a medical emergency a couple years ago and it was the worst couple weeks we’d ever been through. It really gets you thinking how life is so fragile and can change in the blink of an eye. God Speed !

That is some wonderful medical advice. I took notes and have put notes in our RV. So very sorry that you have a sick kitty. Sending lots of prayers for you all. Seeing your kids,, fur or otherwise, sick is devastating.

Great information as a retired police officer and former 911 operator we found once people got accustomed to using their cellphone and no longer used house phones they don’t realize the ability to locate where they’re calling from went away. And sometimes the cell towers don’t connect people to the dispatcher close to them. Prayers for Dexter! We have a Lab and travel with a set of his complete medical records a long with ours on USB drive.
