@AnalogToys Tony, have you ever come across a kids' role play Action Man walkie talkie that used a similar mechanism as the talking Dalek? I have a faint memory of having one in the early 80s
I love your videos because it lets me dip my toes into a topic I would never think about otherwise. I don't collect toys or even have that much interest in collecting them, but watching your videos somehow sooths the child-like part of my soul.
My wife loves it when I spend a thousand dollars on toys. She just goes on and on about.......Wait, did I say love?...Hate, she hates when I spend a thousand dollars on toys. Those are some very nice acquisitions, sir.
OMG mate. I had that exact toy at the end, in the silver as well. I played with that thing so much. One night I was playing with it in bed when I should have been sleeping, and my dad got angry and threw it, and it smashed. I brought me a replacement which was red. I've always loved that toy so much. I'd always wondered if they come up as I've never seen one. WOW. Just WOW. If I recall correctly, the internal mechanism is almost like a tiny record player.
Well I certainly feel much better about the relatively much smaller amount of money I've spent lately. Thanks mate. Great pick ups and always fascinating to hear you talk about the historical side of these pieces. 🤘👍
Great to see other collectors toys and toy lines they collect even though it´s not the same as mine. Great stuff as always. Strange that great toys seem to show up in patches. Just recently I got a hold of both the Britains Deetail Battleground and the Matchbox Beach Head Assault playsets and haven´t seen any of those for sale on Ebay for quit some time. That and 5 Airfix 1960s playsets put a big dent in my toy budget for the rest of the year.
I like the talking Dalek. I don't collect Doctor Who, but love the franchise. It looks like it works similarly to the Star Wars Imperial Troop Transport. I've restored a couple of those.
That Dalek is so cool!! And I agree, Tom Baker has always been my favorite Dr. Who. I used to have to stay up till midnight here in the states to watch Dr. Who as a teenager..
Always good to see a certain Action Man German Paratrooper helmet 🤣🤣🤣🤣 Seriously mate great buys. Had the Talking Dalek for Christmas 1981. Great video 👍👍👍
Great to see the pieces that go in your collection. So interesting. As for the money, it is well spent if it gives you pleasure and you can afford it. I had the talking police car and still remember the words. 🤩
Mate an incredible episode and some great pickups, I love it when you can get some pieces that you have been hunting for a while mine would have to the 25th anniversary dapol doctor who TARDIS playset but I’ve always wanted to get a palitoy talking dalek well done 😎👌🏻
The guy who has the video of how to strip down and repair a Talking Dalek - PB Props - is an expert in prop building and restoration. Sadly, he's had a really hard has had a really hard time lately, thanks to some less than scrupulous "fans".
That Antion man is pretty cool. Never had more then the 90s 12 Joes but see why you collect them. My pick up have been custom Star Wars. STANSOLO & TheNext17, trying to keep up.
I picked up my action man canoe yesterday and bought a navy sailor uniform with weapon. Got home and found a little tare in the trousers as I have an action man in need of new uniform and realised that the gripping hands were dry and fingers broke off easily so was unable to get him to grip the rifle
I'll bet you the reason that the Dalek doesn't say "Doctor Who" is because it was licensed under Terry Nation's IP. BBC never actually "owned" the Daleks, IIRC.
@AnalogToys I still own a Dalek annual from the late 70s , there's no mention at all about the Doctor. It even says Terry Nations Daleks on the front cover.
Happy for ya, man! Those are some fine purchases, and your joy is palpable. I don't know how ya managed to hold off on Super Powers for this long though! That and Secret Wars were ubiquitous when I grew up, and were icons of my childhood. Glad you've started to pick 'em up though; I don't have Darkseid yet, but he's on the list. Cheers!
@@AnalogToys Oh yeah, for sure! I only got the ones that were 'reasonable' in price, and the ones me or my friends had. No one had Cyborg or Tornado--I didn't even knew they existed until I started looking into collecting. You've pretty much got all the classics as far as I'm concerned. :) (My Batman isn't in the best shape, so I almost gave in and went for a MIB version...but somehow I talked myself out of the $500 purchase.)
Hello mate. I’ve got a question. Is there such a thing as a high quality TARDIS model kit? I know there’s a few toys around, but I’d like to build a detailed model to add to my sci fi model collection. Thanks very much and I love the channel.
Hey, thanks for linking to my little repair video - you sent a bit of traffic my way, so that's much appreciated! Your viewers stopped by to tell me, which was nice of them. Anyway, I'm really glad that you followed along and got your Dalek working again... oh, and by the way - I'm very envious of the wonderful condition of the box packaging. I really wish that I could get one so nice at some point! Regarding your exclusive toy fair image, the full sized K9 in it is actually the BBC's radio controlled prop from the TV series, so that's a little bonus there!
My pleasure mate. Your video both informative and entertaining, which is the most important aspect of a TH-cam restoration video. Thanks also for the information on the K9 in the toy fair video!
@@AnalogToys Hey no problem - also, do I see a Davros toy just behind you in this video? That's one that I worked on for CO. I wonder how many of my pieces that you have in your collection...
'Pop-up headlights are lame' ? How very dare you, Tony?! 😁 I'm glad you got the dalek working again. Have you been to Japan yet or did I imagine it? 🤔 Dog bless you 🐩🙏
@AnalogToys Best start saving. Don't go wasting your money on those thousands of street vending machines or those claw machines. There are toyshops that sell second hand and vintage toys. Don't forget to take a money conversion calculator with you. Important to remember is if you're using your australian bank card over there, tell your bank before you go so they don't block it just in case. p.s japan cash money and a prepaid visa card might be useful as well.
@StarTrekDoor I'm a very well travelled man. Thanks for the advice but I'm little worried that you're being almost patronising. Do you honestly think I haven't already figured out the conversion rate from Yen to Australian dollars? And who travels overseas without informing their bank? Do people really not know how to adult anymore???
The Dalek is rare and hard to get in good condition harder with apendages even harder with box which is liscensed under terry nation hemce no doctor who which is bbc there was a red one to. i never thought sold them outside uk they need a fix most see the video by pb props to get it going best
What's your favourite toy shown in this video?
The Talking Dalek!!!
@AnalogToys That Batmobile. Gorgeous!
The brief glimpse of that talking Kojak police car from the preview version of the video!
Gotta go with that Batmobile. That one really showcases a whole era of Batman that would be permanently changed in three years.

God bless the understanding wives of toy collectors!

I'm glad you enjoy them!
That Batmobile is soooooo perfect.
My wife loves it when I spend a thousand dollars on toys. She just goes on and on about.......Wait, did I say love?...Hate, she hates when I spend a thousand dollars on toys.
Those are some very nice acquisitions, sir.
Gotta love the kid in the talking car ad, "fabulous", "dynamic", kids were so well spoken back in the day.
Tony' quite lucky to be able to find and buy these toys in nice condition even after so many years.
FANTASTIC FINDS! My wife would LOVE that Dalek and K-9! She still isnon the quest for more Daleks!
Great video!
Great pick-ups, Tony, and I'm very glad the Dalek was repairable.
MAN!!! That Batmobile is SO CLEEAAN!!!!!! Awesome!

Great video Analog Toys keep up the awesome work!!! You Rock
That magnetic Batman hanging in the background is awesome.
I loved Action Man and the talking Dalek as a young kid.
Fantastic pick-ups! So many cool 😎 pieces especially the Dalek 🤩
This is an amazing haul, Tony!

That Dalek is gorgeous, great pick up!
Wonderful pick-ups! I've had some great vintage break right out of the box. It's a moment of self reflection and then play on!
Great channel. Keep up the good work.
I could do with some vintage dollars 😂. Thanks for the video. Nice to see Soundwave in his new home with the lads. ❤
So happy for you man. Keep up the great work.
Awesome mate fantastic channel
Really awesome t-shirt
I like the talking Dalek. I don't collect Doctor Who, but love the franchise. It looks like it works similarly to the Star Wars Imperial Troop Transport. I've restored a couple of those.
Very nice pickups Tony! Never heard of the cobra bugg before. Can't wait for a video covering that!
Great pick ups Tony. I had the Dalek as a kid. Love the new logo too.

Wow! If I had $1000 extra dollars my truck would be almost back to normal. But pretty cool figures and vehicles you purchased.
Good luck getting that truck back up and running!
Loved the video, but the thumbnail and your expression is absolute perfection 😂
Great to see the pieces that go in your collection. So interesting. As for the money, it is well spent if it gives you pleasure and you can afford it. I had the talking police car and still remember the words. 🤩

@@AnalogToys But I'm no expert. Might double check me on that, Mate. If you find I'm wrong, PLEASE let me know; I'd be interested to find out.

@AnalogToys I still own a Dalek annual from the late 70s , there's no mention at all about the Doctor. It even says Terry Nations Daleks on the front cover.

Yeah those Super Powers figures are really cool. I've always been put off by the extortionate price of Cyborg!

I understand that pain of breaking a new vintage toy 10 minuets after you opened it!
Excellent video! Love the toy history you share! It sucks that your Cobra BUGG's pod-catch broke. Any chance you'll try fixing it?
I’ve always thought the Cobra Bugg got a lot of flak based on its look, but when you have one in hand it’s a really fun toy
The Action Man advert music is really catchy
Haha!
Broken tabs!
I did exactly the same with the Ewok Village.
Nice Webster. Mine the string is full of notes. Love have that batmobile but I got the new retro one
I've just started collecting G1 Transformers!
Hey I had the Cobra Bugg, it was one of the last G.I Joe vehicles I had.
Sounds like they've used the late David Graham doing his Dalek voice from the earlier stories.

I don’t have a massive Dr Who collection but the few character options pieces that I have do include Davros, and he’s incredible!!
Plastic weld kinda works on joe plastic. I'd try it🚬🤠
Hey Tony how is your missus with all the coin you spend on toys? Lol
Thanks for the great content
So long as I pay the bills she has no complaints.
@ that’s a good wife right there
Really great video!
Was just curious, what brand/company made that She-Hulk figure that's next to the Real Ghostbusters figures?
Marvel Legends
Any chance you might have a link to where you found the 12 inch
Bespin Luke you have in the background ? Is it 3D Printed ? Thanks
Gentle Giant
Are you going to repair the GI joe vehicle?
It's 'cheaper' to spend more money on something that's complete rather than trying to build up an incomplete over several years
Who Dares Wins outro! 👍👍🙂
I’ve also reached out on your fb page and being in Perth aswell would be good to catch up sometime 😎👍🏻

I'd love a full size dalek. Tom Baker was the last of best Doctors till the modern doctors came along like David Tennant and Matt Smith
My Orko only came with the ripcord. I live in the U.S.A.
Was that K-9 ever released in America? It sure looks familiar.
I don't think so.
I bet that catch would be fixable with some plastic weld.
Don't know if ya in to modern 1/6 scale figures but have ya seen seen the new Dam toys bravo two zero figures?
I just looked them up and "damn" (no pun intended) they look amazing!
Thanks for the reply mucker. Means a lot
I foresee a doctor who video in the near future
