I'm surprised no one is copying the design of the Remarkable 2. They do a really good job of blending the bezels in with the screen. The R2 really pops against the stark black and white bezels on all the others.
The feature I need the most would be a "side-by-side" view where I can hold the device horizontally, and have a book on the left side with a note app on the right
The Boox has completely changed my life, purchased after a LOT of research (and your videos were super helpful!) So many benefits and so much you can do. Had the NA2+ and partner had the Elipsa, well a week in and I ended up with a Tab Ultra and partner now has the NA2+. Yes it’s a bit more of a learning curve but it is intuitive and with more use, it becomes natural plus it has a more personal touch for your own ‘flow’.
As someone still on the fence about purchasing an e-ink tablet and undecided between the A5X and NA2+, how whas this changed your life? If you don't mind me asking. For context I'm trying to see if this will improve how often I want to read or take notes compared to what I'm doing at the moment which is reading physical books and using a regular notepad.
@@Anonymuz21 Have you got to buy the device? I am also on the fence and absolutely can't decide between A5X and NA2+! I am especially interested in the note taking and writing latency on the two devices.
I initially chose the NA2+ due to its stronger processor and concerns about latency and capabilities of the A5X. However, I haven't made the purchase yet because I was hoping the TUC release would bring down the price. Now, I'm torn between the NA2+ and the TMC. The frequent introduction of new Boox devices makes it challenging to ensure my purchase is future-proof, and I don't want to regret my investment. I have the reMarkable and the Kindle Scribe. I think that if the reMArkable had a backlight I’d choose that as I think it’s better to write on. The Kindle has the advantage of having your whole library on it as well. I wish I could commit to just the one!
@Kit Betts-Masters: Thank you for this comparison. I am very interested in the titles/keywords/tagging/TOC/starring features that are present in the Supernote. But I also am interested in the built in camera for the Boox which will allow me to scan/convert all my existing recipes which I want to move from paper to digital. Are there any such titles/keywords/tagging/TOC/starring features present in the Boox similar to the Supernote? If so that will be the tablet I end up getting.
Great video. I just sold my PaPyr device which I loved for notes and it has forced me to use my Lumi 2 , what a learning curve indeed. The benefits are that once you learn the basics you’re more comfortable to try more and with BOOX devices one can do more, lots more. I do miss the PaPyr though.
Speaking of "can't commit to just one" - since you have so many of these devices (as do I, with no "I have a channel" excuse!), I'd be interested in a video talking about how you use each of them - like if you have a go-to device for certain tasks or how you decide which one to use for what, and if/how you remember what is where across various devices. Or maybe right now it's a bit haphazard.
Hiya, yeah, I try to use one at a time as much as possible for everything I need, but sometimes I'll for example use the Tab Ultra for an email whilst I'm testing another device. It's a good idea for a video, like which is best for what that i need to do. Thanks for the idea.

Hi Kit, Really like your videos. I owned a Boox Note Air for a while. It was obviously a good device, but didnt really work for me. I found it tried to do too kuch and therefor felt clunky in its core functions, which ended up being a barrier to regular use. I would be open to jumping back in, perhaps in a coupke of years when the tech has developed a little. Really key for me is integration with other devices, as i don't want to he dependent on ways having the notebook with me. Which system, in your opinion, has the best "companion" app? Being able to do things like convert to text on other platforms would also be a benefit - otherwise i just feel that the devices are too walled off from the rest of my ecosystem.
Probably remarkable TBH. But I tend to just use other cloud apps on the Boox so the notes app is really just for focused reading, which goes up to the google drive as a pdf when I'm done. Lots of great ways to work with the Boox. If you just want text though remarkable is just fine!
