That. Yammie. Is. AWESOME!!! Great, great work...great colors, great seat. Looks to be worth every hour you've put into it. Congrats to you and to Seth!
@@BrickHouseBuilds I wish my Yamaha dragstar 400 will be rebuilt in a similar style :) you do a great job, that it is part of your soul, mind and passion. Tell me how the hell in country of muscle cars, hot rods, HDs and Indians your passion is Hondas, Yamahas, and Porsche? ))
I’ve enjoyed every video about this bike, and this one definitely followed suit. It’s absolutely gorgeous. I’m disappointed I didn’t get to hear it run. But I’m really excited to watch the future videos now. Your skills really showed out on this build. Congratulations on your awards
Absolutely gorgeous! I’m working on a xs650 hardtail project, and while it won’t be quite the same this bike your showing is a huge inspiration. Thank you!
Beautiful, I would have side panels and bigger mudguards because I'm in England and we get a little rain. 😂 I'm parked up in my 40 year old campervan on an old WW2 RAF/USAAF aerodrome in Somerset. Just nipped out for a pee and something ran across the tarmac at 1.30 am, it was ghost or a badger. 😁 . Thanks for doing these videos. Graham.
It's a color scheme that if you would have explained it to me I would have thought it wouldn't look good, but dang man that is a beautiful bike. Can't wait to hear it!
Holy smokes is that bike ever nice. About 5 or 6 years ago I spotted that very bike leaning on a shed in an old guy’s back yard who lives around the corner from me. I’d always wanted to build a scrambler for my in town commutes and I was looking for a new project as well. I made him a real cash offer one day despite its fairly rough condition but he turned me down telling me he bought it for his son to work on and bring back. Fast forward a few months back and I noticed I hadn’t seen the old guy around for a while. He was always in his yard before working on one of his many old cars or something. We’d always wave to eachother especially if I was in my old bug. Anyway, I noticed all of his projects were now gone and a younger guy cleaning up the yard. Turns out it was his son and his dad had passed (sad to hear). I asked about the old bike after a while and he told me he threw it in a dumpster for scrap metal 😢🤦♂️ He told if he’d known I was interested he’d have let me have it for nothing. Sigh…. Is what it is. I guess the son wasn’t into all of his builds as much as the old guy had wished. I’ll find one some day to build. Yours is an inspiration for sure! I love it!
That is absolutely gorgeous, man! Lovely colours that go so well together on a bike that you've made very pleasing to the eye! Looking forward to hearingnher start and sew how she goes! Excellent work!
One of my favorite builds of all time!! I had a 69 Triumph Daytona 500 (my graduation buy) in Emerald Green and Silver- Green is by far the best!- another great video!
so good! well done BJ! Also the in the parking lot shot with the changin leaves matching the stripes with some green trees matching the base paint makes my film school heart flutter!
Congratulations! Makes me think about XS400's gone by in my life. I have never been a green fan either, but I was completely sold on this, as I salivated trying to catch more than a glimpse, while it sat behind the V-Max in those scenes. I really like your shop color scheme. It is so clean, sano, simple, and understated. I am not surprised you got voter's choice award, as it is so well done, and not trying to be anything other than what it is. That will be a blast to ride, make dreams with, and a pleasure to own. Fabulous! You are truly an inspiration. Got to get out to the shop now, do one little thing a day, further my own bring back to life ride...
Really liked this build B.J.. Got a lot from it as you went along the journey. Love the look and the colours are perfect for the shape and overall size of the bike. Like the seat shape, just a little different to the norm! Thankyou for sharing your skills and passion with us.
I had a74 Plymouth duster that was about that shade of green... Good color choice!! The yellow orange and red are very good offset colors against the green. Very sharp looking bike. I love how it took people's choice but placed third in its category according to "judges".
The 3rd was totally good by me! 2nd was a 1945 guzzi that was amazing and 1st was the pink gt750 build which was also amazing. I wasn't there for awards but just for fun
My first car was a '72 Nova painted from the factory with what I called "baby poop green". This is just a shade darker, and I love it 😂 All joking aside, that is a seriously good looking bike. You guys knocked it completely out of the park.
Awe man this bike is beautiful I’d love to have it lol congratulations on the awards defo deserved,it just looks amazing well done guys honestly be proud I love it every detail on it is pristine and the seat ai a work of art thanks for sharing can’t wait to see you out on it so I’m more jealous haha take care and celebrate ,you have both earned it 👍👌🏁🏁❤️❤️🏍️🏍️
Love the green and integration of shop colors! It's easy to go in the same direction all the time. This is why most of my bikes are all black lol. I have been thinking about doing a John Deere style color theme and once again it looks like our creative directions are in line. This isn't exactly like that, but close enough to where I could see what some greens and yellow and red-ish look like. Seat is tops also!
Man that is cool looking and I am not surprised that it won 1st price in the peep choice cat. If I was you, I keep it for the shop front window advertisement and the bike nights. What better way to show what the shop is about, amongst other things. Also great idea incorporating the shop colours, I would probably do that to all future builds but maybe in smaller ways here and there (eg. one time chain guard, next time tank cap, the next time custom grips etc etc)
I used to have a 76XS400 . The basic model with spokes and drum front brake. Changed the front forks with RD350 forks. Rear sets ,clipons cafe seat and Mac header. It would do the Ton with sum engine tuning majic. Wish I still had it😢
Very nice build B.J.. The only thing I would do differently, is I don't like the flange on the gas tank on ANY bike. You did a very nice job. Enjoyed the video B.J. and RIDE SAFE OUT THERE!
Love the paint tank looks top-notch .well done guy's .little splash of colour draws the eye . And the wheels 😮 .Just acquired a k100rs bmw and my choice is going to be bronze for the wheels .l love it 🏴🏴
Great job! I would put an aluminum oval with some racing numbers on the sides, to fill the gap and give a more aggressive and retro look (and it will match the shape of the tank too). It's just my idea..
Awesome, I love it, I have been told that a lot of bikes will never "run right" after switching to pods again. Do you have a video on tuning carbs with pods?
The people who say that just don't try hard enough. I don't have a tuning video as it really is an art and hard to demonstrate (at least for me) so I don't want to make a bad video. Cody motorcyclemd has some good videos on the subject
That’s a beautiful looking bike. Looks really cool just sitting there.
One of the best looking bikes I’ve ever seen, congrats
Good heavens, that is beautiful!

Very Very nice end Result and looks so retro. Being Retro myself of course i love it.. Well done BHB.
Awesome job brother. Love the green. A beautiful bike.
Looks amazing !
I've always liked the British racing green colour scheme and although this is a lighter shade, it has that feel about it.
Very nice! Great to see it like this, it was a epic journey!
Congratulations. Should be proud of this project mate. Great take on a modern retro. Love the accent leather work on the seat👍

Yamaha should take notes and make a production bike like this. The bike is beautiful. Nice choices.
