  • Hello and welcome to my latest tutorial.
To make this pendant you will need - (feel free to go up or down a size on these recommended gauges).
    • 1.2mm (16awg)wire, 1 x 6" (15cm).
    • 0.8mm (21awg) round or square wire, 1 x 10" (26cm) 2 x 4" (11cm).
    • 21awg half round wire (or weaving wire) 1 x 3" (8cm)
    • 0.315mm weaving wire (28g) 150cm (I wind mine onto a bobbin, but you can cut lengths as you go if you prefer)
    • Beads, 8mm and 2 x 3mm.
    • Jump rings (if you don't want to make the separate bail).
I no longer put links to tools on here.
    The tools I use are:
    • Tronex needle nose pliers
    • Tronex short round nose pliers
    • Tronex razor flush cutters
    • Prestige flat-nose nylon jaw pliers
    • Beadsmith bail pliers
    • Occasionally I use tronex bent nose pliers
    • Occasionally I use heavy-duty wire cutters
    • Occasionally I use xuron needle nose pliers
    • Bobeeze bobbins (medium size with no extra weights)

I am really happy with my purchase of the Bobeze bobbins! If you work off the spool, the bobbins work GREAT!! I have been using them for several years now!! Once again... Thanks!

I love this piece! I made it a while ago. Personally, I found that adding the weave wires and stringing the beads and attaching the wires to the upper frame will work better for me to do a bit later in the process than in the beginning. The weave wire on mine got kinked from accidentally grabbing it while working. With the bottom finished up, I can't add it all fresh. But I had fun making this cute pendant! I did the bail a bit differently for more flexibility. Thanks for a great video Kel!! ❤❤

I'm SUPER EXCITED that you have another wire-wrapped bead pendant! Thank you! I'm just a bit confused ~~ I THOUGHT 0.8mm = 20 G. wire [awg]?? Hmmm.... ah well - either way this is BEAUTIFUL, but ALL of your designs are!
Aloha & Mahalo Nui Loa! 💜🤙🏻💜

Oh thanks so much, yes 0.8mm is 20awg, but I'm using 21 purely because the wire is so hard to work, I find the 21 so much easier to curl. You can go a step up or down on all of the wire gauges, that's just what I prefer (very adaptable) 😁 got another bead frame pendant tutorial in the works 😁 coming soon...and thanks again 💕

Hi, Kelly. In the US, you can get what's called a dowel in any hardware store. They come in a variety of circumferences. On the negative side, they are NOT tapered and usually are 3 - 4 feet (92 cm to 122 cm) LONG. But if you get one (maybe to support a tomato plant or ivy), cut off 12-15 cm to save for your wirework.

Ooo yes, perfect! I thought a dowel peg .... but they're tiny 😂 haha. Mine was really expensive, I'm sure you can get them over here too, I need to look more 🤔 and thank you 👍❤️
