I was a patient at this facility. I was in the cottage directly in front of this cafeteria you walked through. In the 90’s (when I was there) the building you’ve recorded was only used as the cafeteria, gym, and offices for the therapist or administrators. The building directly in front of this building was for 8-13 year olds (ish) then you went to the teenage adolescent home located in a different part of the campus. The cottage at the end of the block was for the much younger kids. Inside the cottage we had a “commons area”, tv room, staff office, time-out room, one boys hall, and one girls hall. Girls hall had one bedroom that had a bathroom inside it. You had to earn your privilege to stay in that room. We also had another timeout room at the end of the hall. Most all rooms housed two people in them. At night they played music on the intercom for us. Not all the staff were good people but the ones that were, were amazing. If you refused to go to the timeout room you were rolled up in a cot, stuck with a sleepy shot and put in the timeout room. The food was so bad. All the meat would have a green hue to it. The state really underfunded this hospital.
How easy is it to access the hotel? I live pretty close to it and wanna explore it rlly bad bc I remember having a birthday party when I was like 13 at that hotel and now it’s decrepit. I noticed a good size hole in the fence and broken windows so I feel like it would be easy to make a run for it inside (as long as it’s night time and no ones around) but might be homeless ppl inside so idk. But lmk if you have more information and if you explored it when it was abandoned u should post vids of it on TH-cam
Whiteboards, chalkboards and bulletin boards are always pretty interesting because even the vandals usually leave whatever was written there when the place closed down.
