Something you mentioned but never really covered in depth… unless I missed it. It’s on the exhaust manifold cracks…3 different heat ranges for 3 different metals… heads, bolts and cast iron manifolds. All forums say it’s going to happen and repeatedly. The working solution is steel shorty headers. Now you have exhaust and bolts of same metal so expansion and contraction issues are reduced. BBK makes a great set, easy install. Mopar isn’t ever going to do a recall and replacement cast manifolds are getting scarce and hard to find, some people even weld cracks, but that never last. Just a little FYI
For folks asking about disabling MDS, you dont need to put it in tow mode and you dont need a tune - just use the gear limit and set it to Gear "-8". This will disable MDS until you take it out of drive.
Good to see you again Justin. Nice video. Hard to fathom all the miles in such a short amount of time. I haven’t even hit 23,000 yet. Anything about any common issues with anything Harmon Kardone sound system, panoramic roof, ram boxes, power running boards. Any insight you can provide would be appreciated and thank you
Hey Justin I got a question for you about your first set of Nitto Grapplers. I have them on my 2019 ram limited just like yours. Same size tire and everything. I even got those quarter inch spacers you used too. You say you got nearly 80,000 on them? I am about a 1000 miles in on mine. Did you just follow the sticker on the door and have 36 psi in them or did you run them a little higher like 40 psi? I want to make sure I get them to last as long as yours. If you could let me know what psi you used. I feel I am already getting a little wear on the outside corners of the front tires already and I had it aligned when I got the tires so I want to make sure its not a psi problem. I've been binge watching your videos for the past couple of weeks. Decided to pull the trigger on a 23 1500 limited. Looking at 4 months for delivery. One question I have is have you experience any slipping with the 3.21 while you're towing? I ask this because the dealer was pushing the 3.92 on me, explaining that the 3.21 may slip if you're towing loads 4k or greater. I didn't buy it (no pun intended) but I would like to hear your thoughts. Awesome content and info. Thanks!
Also - Did you do anything for the leg discomfort? On long "cruise-on" drives (3-4 hrs) right leg is killing me. I cannot find "The Spot" when it feels comfortable
I haven’t yet. There is no spot that feels comfortable, unfortunately. I set the ACC, and move my foot away from the pedal entirely. That’s the only way I get comfort. Some have mentioned making a custom pedal offset bracket. I’m not to that point yet, but I am close…
Tbh, I didn’t even notice that when I took that picture. Lol. It’s always that gas evap code. Luckily the Diablo tuner lets me clear it whenever that pops up. No major issues here.
One question Justin, you have on a couple of occasions said you weren't too impressed with your 1000 watt 19 speaker Harmon Kardon sound system. Can you elaborate more specifically what you don't care for about it, compared to your last gen Alpine system which you favor? I personally love mine & it was a big reason I sprung for the Limited, but I tweaked the equalizer & the front to rear balancing while listening to fairly loud Heavy Metal via the Sirius XM Ozzy's Boneyard channel.
Hey Vinnie! The Harmon Kardon just doesn’t seem to sound as clean in the low range. I probably shouldn’t complain, because the 19 speaker HK system is probably better than 95% of the factory audio systems out there. I think that Ram just had a home run with the previous Alpine. End of the day, they are both good. My HK setup just seems to rattle in places that the previous system didn’t.
Hi Justin! I’m also located in OK & in the power industry. When I first got my 2019 Limited back in September 2018, I felt the 19 speaker HK was underwhelming compared to the alpine that was in my Grand Cherokee Overland. I took it to the dealer and they did a software update- it’s a completely different system now. It’s extremely clear with the volume all the way up. The sub even shakes the back seat!
@@kelbymorgan interesting how similar our experiences were. If a software update can wake up the HK system, that would be incredible. Thanks for the tip!
@@MrJustinWheeler it sure is! I’m in the power distribution engineering line of work. My limited just rolled over 20k miles -it’s still a baby lol. But yes, the software update made a HUGE difference. There is a service bulletin for it. I think it’s 06-123-18.

Any other common likely problems? Thanks
Thanks!
Damiel.......In my case, I've had a 3:21 and also a 3:93 axle ratio in to different trucks withe 5.7 Hemi, and the 3:92 ratio pulls the best.
Come on, lets see that 200k!!!! Lol great video as usual.
The next big question - Why Check Engine light is on?
Tbh, I didn’t even notice that when I took that picture. Lol. It’s always that gas evap code. Luckily the Diablo tuner lets me clear it whenever that pops up. No major issues here.
Seems like its probably on because the truck wasn't running.
What all warranty work was done? Curious, I just bought a 2022 Ram with the hemi etorque new.
If you go back a few videos to the 190,000 mile update, I go into what all had to be done.
Would you recomend tuning a ram at 160k? Miles
Wow 😯
Is there a way to get intouch with you over email or anything like that?
Doesn’t lifetime in automotive years mean 100k miles?
Ford has no problems at 200k
Yo
I don't like Dodge trucks
Do you hear that?
Put your ear to the computer screen really closely…
“No one careeeees”
Fuel economy is almost entirely with the driver. I've jumped into many trucks the owner says they say is horrible and I'll easily beat there average by 20%. You say it's bad, you have bad driving habits.
