Thanks for this great demo. I can't understand why Dremel retired this wonderful little tool. The ergonomics of it are so great, and it was my go-to in my shop until the battery died. Now I'll bring it back to life!

About two years ago my wife dumped a Dremel Stylus tool and purchased a new one because it was not holding the charge. I Rescued and saved the tool just in case.....Well subsequently I came across this video, I purchased a batteries, installed them today and the tool works better than new. Thanks for helping recycle these wonderful tools.

My two Dremel Drivers are identical to this, and they too are getting daily use and still going strong. But I dread the day the battery just dies.

I have one of these fro 2003 or 2004. Somehow, it is still working with the ORIGINAL batteries. I haven't attempted to see what run time I can get - just still use when needed! I am going to replace the cells. 20 years is MIRACULOUS (I admit it mostly sat idle and is used once every few months)

I'm curious if these were Panasonic cells... I guess I'll know when I open mine up!

Thanks for this, I hadn't used my Stylus for awhile and it did exactly what yours did when I tried to charge it. I took the lazy way out and ordered a replacement battery pack for it, but I'll still need to desolder the wires and solder them to the replacement pack's board to complete the repair. I'll save the old pack's board and thermistor so that if I have to replace the pack in the future I can do as you've done here.

Its identical to the 1120 and LEGENDARY Dremel Driver. So this helps a LOT, thanks. I have two Dremel Drivers and they are still going strong after more than ten years of daily use, but I wanted to see if there was a way to save them if the charging didn't last long enough anymore. So THANKS.

Hi I can't find the exact battery model number. My Battery number is an LGCH1 18650. I am not familiar with these types of batteries and what their numbers mean.
What model number did you get from E Bay?
    Thanks for your help.

Don't worry about looking for original batteries. Technology has moved along. I recommend getting LG HG2 batteries. You will improve from 1AH to 3AH!
Otherwise any well known battery brand with at least a 15 amp current rating and 2500 mAh capacity should be fine. Just be careful of fake batteries. If possible charge both single batteries separately so they are balanced or at least check their voltages are very close before installing.
