One thing I appreciate in SI is that it's actually difficult to avoid afflicted novas. It used to be that you'd have to really suck to let that happen, but in SI it's a pretty tight DPS check to pass.

True, I had moment where Tigrex would anomaly burst just because I was doing enough damage, which is why I had to time the arm breaks to give myself topples in order to do damage

Honestly, In MHRise there is only one combo for the Switch Axe and it goes like this:
- in Sword Mode, do a DOUBLE SLASH by pressing A or Circle or B depending your console,
- then press ZR or R2 or RT to do a MORPH DOUBLE SLASH
- after which you press ZR or R2 or RT to do MORPH SLASH that will bring you back to Sword Mode
- and you repeat the same process by pressing A to do a DOUBLE SLASH.
Nintendo switch: A -> ZR -> ZR-> A ...
PlayStation: O -> R2 -> R2 -> O ...
XBOX: B -> RT -> RT -> B ...
Tips: you mostly wanna be in Sword Mode when fighting; switch to Axe Mode when you have to mode around or get close to the monster. That combo above is when the monster is down or gives you a good opening since the combo is quite long and you can't evade during it.

Might be a lag, I'm not so good at editing to do something like that, especially being able to get 2 clips exactly at the same place, timing, Wirebug attached to the monster, position etc. Too hard for me

Is thunderclap with rampage slot upgrade better than maxed out Khezu axe?

Someone came to me with the same question and we ran some test. Both SwAxe are great but on Tigrex, since we ran the test on him, the additional hits from the amped state on the Narwa were higher than Khezu since Narwa has more elements. Khezu was doing more physical damage but not that high either
Now, I used both to Speedrun Tigrex and Narwa was getting better times compared to Khezu. Why? Those additional hits count for a lot especially on monster weak to element.
In conclusion Narwa is better (at least on Tigrex :⁠-⁠)

@@gigs52 khezu is used over narwa because the lvl 3 rampage slot lets you use phial switch boost or elembane. in the run, phial switch boost wouldn't have been very helpful because it was mostly counter spam and elembane only procs on tigrex head. SA counter usually ends up hitting the wings

I don't want to start a debate here, but some people say LS is the most broken weapon because of the counter, but after seeing this video, SA can oonga boonga while still being able to counter. I'm confused. I'm new to Monster Hunter.

In sum, LS has 5 counters, Switch Axe has 1. LS can use different counters back to back like a combo, LS counters have barely any cost to them, LS counters give you invincibility, and last but not least, some LS counters can be cancelled and chained back into another counter🙃🙃 like why???💀💀💀
Also LS does more damage than switch axe and is faster and fluider and easier to use.

To get 4 wirebugs, you need the skill "Frenzy Bloodlust". It's a skill you find on Risen Shagaru Magala's armor but you can also get it via qurio augmentation
