Omg, that song Tinikling it reminds me of a time when i was in Elementary grade way back in the Philippines. We were dancing on the street, all the way from our school to the City for a street dance competition lol :D
I lived 27 months in Olongapo City when I was stationed at SRF Subic Bay from 11/18/1978 to 3/30/1981. It was the very best tour of duty I ever had when I was in the Navy. The very first time I was there was on my very first Westpac cruise when my ship, the USS Blue Ridge LCC-19 pulled into Subic Bay on Monday, November 25, 1974, I had duty the first day, but the next day was the very beginning of my having several liberties there. During My second visit there, I rode a Victory Liner from Olongapo City to Caloocan City on Saturday, December 14, 1974, a month & 2 days away from meeting my wife. On Thursday, January 16, 1975 I met my late wife of 31 years, I was 21, she was 23, I wasen't ready for marriage. But when I got stationed at SRF Subic Bay, I Knew then and there that I was ready for marriage, on Thursday, April 5, 1979, my late wife & I got married at City Hall, the Honorable Judge Jose L. Up married us, my late wife passed away on Saturday, March 6, 2010, a month shy of being married 31 Years. Within a few year, I plan to return to the Philippines for good and live out my life there as my heart is there, Olongapo City is one of my 4 choices where I want to live out my life in.
Really love ❤️ the music 🎶
