- Monstera sp. Peru is an incredible indoor plant that holds up to a wide variety of conditions indoors. We love its richly textured (almost corrugated) foliage! It's a vining or trailing houseplant perfect for adding a touch of life to your home or office.
Our Plant Hunter first sourced Monstera sp. Peru more than five ago in Southeast Asia. At that time, there wasn't an accepted name on it, so we started calling it Green Galaxy Monstera. (You might also see it called Monstera karstenianum or even Epipremnum Marble Planet.) No matter what you call it, it's a trendy plant we're excited to grow.

I picked one up at Kroger in November from Costa Farms. Like he said a few loose cutting and slow growing but it took off nicely. I am looking forward to having multiple ones. I give plants away as my White Elephant gift each year and I am considering gifting one of these since the care is so easy and the plant is so pretty/interesting.

Ive only been successful with this baby in the tops of my aquariums! They dont like my soil or even the heat or what in my house. They only like my aquariums!

Was at Walmart a few days ago when their shipment from Costa farms was delivered a day before. Being a plant lover I had to open some to see what was in them. Aside from seeing the monstera Peru I also saw that the plants were full of bugs and damaged leafs from the bugs. I've yet to find a plant from costa farms that didn't have bug damage but I thought it was from the other plants around them. Well now I know for sure that costa farm's plants are delivered with bugs and damage straight from there store! ALWAYS CHECK THEIR LEAVES!
Hi Linda: So sorry to hear you've had that experience. Our growers use beneficial insects on many of our crops to help control pests and reduce pesticides, so it may be possible (impossible to say without seeing the bugs) that some of the insects you found were beneficial, rather than harmful.
I hope I can find this at Walmart or Home Depot.
