Excellent job! Pushed the snow exactly where it needs to be....off the roadway! If the rear blade was 1' taller, it would push it even further!👍

I turn to these grader vids as a memorabilia, good vid , THANKS
Looks like you have a plow that will push either direction . Love it, that way you can always push to the down hill side.
Have you ever hung the mold board all the way to the left to act as a wing to cut the snow bank down & back ?
    Never tried that myself .
I used to operate (worked for the township) a Champion grader in Canada , maintained the roads in the summer, & marked all the culvert, rocks, stumps, etc that would give a problem in the winter & if possible if we were working in the area used the JD 544-A or the JD 450 shovel to remove problems . operated the wing of the snowplow truck in the winter , & when the banks got high , used the grader to bench & wing back . Did not have a front plow , but a front Bull Blade 4’high - width of the grader to punch out turn around areas , sometimes with snow pack 6’ deep & backed up for 10-12’ , when I hit it snow would squirt 30’ in the air ! Wing was 12’ & I was most of the time at full throttle 3rd gear , when I got to a power pole , drop the heel if the wing down a foot , could not discharge the snow so the rear of the grader skated toward the middle of the road as I turned the front to compensate; immediately on lowering the heel of the wing , pull the hydraulics to raise it, which would not happen untill it was almost clear of the bank , which of course put me clear of the power pole , & immediately lowed it back to proper depth ! All this @ 12-14 mph .

I have never shifted the saddle to extend the blade far enough to act as a wing. I am a little afraid, even though I have not had problems, that I would have trouble with the pin and create issues for myself being able to continue to plow in the normal set up. After I wing, I do lean the front plow into the same bank with articulation and clean behind with the moldboard on the return to push the base of the bank over after the wing has cut it down. Thanks

Would have liked better to hear the sound of the grader plowing snow. Muted the music. Beautiful countryside, and grader, moldboard, and wing plow action.

Thanks for the input. Grader sounds are cool to many including me and I did have the music up a little higher when editing and I can work with that too.

So do you clear the driveways as well or just the road? The small town I live in in Montana if they have time they will clear the burm out but its a town of 650 and they use a chevy 5500 and a chevy dump truck to plow so is easier for them

I almost exclusively just do the roads. I have four driveways the owners pay me to do that are really easy to do with my equipment while I do the roads. Driveways are the responsibility of the owners. There are quite a few homes that are only used in the summer. Of those that are full-time or part-time winter use, some do their driveways themselves, and others hire other contractors. If a driveway has been freshly plowed I try not to fill the opening again, and if I do with more than can be crossed reasonably, I try to knock it down so they can at least enter. My problem lately with some is that they are putting their driveway snow back in the roads or on the road banks where I can ill-afford to have more snow so in those cases they get it back into the driveway and I don't apologize. The amount of snow we get and the steepness of many of the driveways makes it a challenge and too many try to get away with lesser forms of snow removal equipment. Thanks!
