I was way ahead in the first round of qualifying but had a 50 point slump in the second. I'm just glad I was able to shake it off and centre myself in the bronze match.
Big congratulations to "We're all gonna die" with the bronze medal 🥉... I really like he's shooting style 👌Great match speakers ... I really like there laid back, fun and unorthodox game commentary ,,, great stuff 😂👍 many thanks for showing and please keep up the good work
So I have to assume that the distance to the target is 200 meters, and the target is 12 meters wide, right? am I close? Because they never like to tell you. And I would like to see Miguel Vera from Porto Rico have a go. He regularly hits bottle caps at 22 meters while walking...
Have you ever wondered, why all those impressing trickshooters (and there are quite a lot) are not going to the olympic games and flatten out the competition? You obviously take the nearest guess, and what happens?
There are no WA rules for longbow in target archery, indoor or outdoor. Longbow in the WA rules is only classified as a field/3D dicipline. So longbow competition rules in target archery will vary based on country 😊 But I assume the question was more related to distance and target face, it's 12m at 60cm.
everything seems strange to me in this competition ... apparently they shoot at 18m on targets intended for shooting at 25m, normally they are 40cm, no position is mastered otherwise the errors in target would not be more than 30 cm between two consecutive arrows, the bows seem very badly adjusted (I have never seen such an impressive band!) the arrows are not cut to the right length, the shooting sequences are never identical from one volley of arrows to the next, the bows still move when released etc ... I shoot a bare longbow and if, during the warm-up at 18m, I take an arrow out of the yellow zone, it is because I am having a bad day and I am not happy with myself. I think these archers have not understood the purpose of archery which is, as I was taught during my training as a trainer, "to shoot with precision and regularity". They do neither. I would be afraid to be in the same room as these shooters because their arrows can go in any direction!!!!
You may have missed the main "purpose of archery". Most archers and trainers/coaches seem to forget it from time to time. Let Martin Damsbo from Denmark remind you of the purpose of archery as the last commenter in this video from World Archery from the worlds best archers 😊 th-cam.com/video/4cdyWOAeOrw/w-d-xo.html&ab_channel=WorldArchery As a trainer you may also want to revisit the concepts of destructive criticism and constructive criticism, your athletes mental health would most likely benefit greatly from it 😊
Yeah, guilty. 😅 I used to be way more instinctive but am heading into a mixed territory when it comes to aiming. Granted, the aiming I'm doing is just gauging the tip height. I've made bows for 8 years now but still have a lot to learn when it comes to shooting.
they have typical set of error ofc, but it is good that they are shooting and competing. Their is always a room for improvement! говорю как стрелок с лонгбоу со стажем )
No actually their postures are really good they're maybe just bad at aiming We need to appreciate this kind of competition cuz they care about traditional archery I'm done with the Olympian style
To be honest their technique is not so bad. This kind of bows are difficult to shoot. Especially at shorter distances where the arrows are not stable yet... Iceland is not a big country, archery is probably not well developped... In my opinion, the most shocking thing is the three under technique with aiming... For me its a sacrilege on a trad bow. But Many people do this...
At what distance is that?
Whats the distance their shooting
How far are they shooting ?
Engrossing!!Nice challenge
I'm here for the stand up comedy with a side of archery
0:18 That was one of the most cold blooded first shots I have ever seen. He was in the moment.
❤️ the start ☠️
It was a good hunt!

G'day. how long is the range
where are the longbows? I can see a horsebow and a Mollegabet inspired Flatbow...

The horse bow doesnt shoot thumb ring,he shoots three under in order to aim...

What distance are they shooting?
Красавцы!
Позитивные Скандинавы 😅 👍
How many yards ?
Prehistoric Mollegabet bow versus Mongolian type bow?
Good 👍
What's the distance they are shooting at? 18 meters or 20 meters or what?
12 m
Must be the beginner class if it's only 12 metres.
what distance are they shooting ? does anyone know ?
If memory serves, it was 15 metres.
Big congratulations to "We're all gonna die" with the bronze medal 🥉...

18 meters / 20 yards.

Is this shot to WA rules or local rules?

WOW !!! He looks like Bradley Cooper
Haha! Which one?
Tell me you're both trad bow archers without telling me you're both trad bow archers.
I do like seeing a guy who is carefully aiming with one eye closed vs a guy shooting instinctual.
🖒😁🖒like
Don't tell me this was also @12m? ;)

no longbows there !
"men longbow" but no longbow on the line 😅
And suprem heresy,they aim...

Upright nonsense is right
they shoot badly. poor shooting technique, poor results.
they have typical set of error ofc, but it is good that they are shooting and competing. Their is always a room for improvement!

There is always this one guy.

Mate, pick up a stick bow you have made yourself, wooden arrows, and give it your best! ;)
To be honest their technique is not so bad.
