To me it looked like the car got shooked up from the uneven surface. In that case you would have no steer whatsoever. But then again we're all sitting sound and safe in front of our phones and computers, arguing about what a professional race driver could've done better :) Glad no one got hurt and that gravel trap definitely served its purpose!

Wow the comments section has really taken off here! Just to update everyone making assumptions on the issue. The car was running old tyres, we were due to put new ones on the next run and pushed too hard on these ones. @@jonathangriffiths2499 No it looked like it was under steering in all the corners. Maybe it is a deliberate set up, I always preferred my cars to stick at the front with any looseness at the back.
Might be one and the same thing: understeer leading to the driver consistently turning in early to compensate. Actual crash was turning in way too early.
but in the end was it the tires+understeer or was it the bumps? My guess is it was the bumps in the road, because the tires were doing at least something up to that point, so it seems reductive to assume they lost grip completely out of nowhere

Bad setup and/or worn out tires. This understeer is really painful to watch, also there's oversteer on exit making the car difficult to drive I assume.
Looked like you were fighting the car but pushing the limits and over cooked it like you said older tyres less grip at the vital point still think maybe alittle less gas and ease into that light right hand would of been better but you know more about your car and set up than me just hope there wasn’t too much damage buddy and your all ok
Need to slow down for the corners. If the car is understeering...you don't turn more. The driver is wearing out the front tires in order to slow the car down for corners. The excessive steering angle causes more tire wear, and more understeer, which led to the crash. Instead of scrubbing off speed with understeer, just slow down with the brakes and modulate throttle better through the corners. You dont go any faster with so much slip angle. Just wearing out tires for no reason. Maybe practice more in a sim first, learn some theory.
I'm no car set up expert but that amount of Oversteer every bend with Slicks on tells me something needs tweaking.. even when the tyres are up to temperature its still without any grip.. 🤔
