Were you happy with the shade choice for your skin color? I know there’s one shade lighter and the number 3 almost looks lighter too? I’m asking because I’m fairly new to like you and ordered the 2 but haven’t received it yet. It was a hard choice but I almost think 3 would be more tint like but I don’t know. The 1 seems to be what I see a lot in reviews. Also new subscriber here!!! ❤
Thank you. I think they just have different undertone to them but shade itself is light enough. I don’t see it as a tint cause it’s too shiny on its own. More like glowing primer or smth similar like charlotte tilbury flawless filter almost. For under concealer/foundation it would make not difference but on its own the shade will be a bit more peachy or golden from what I remember
I love the Dewy look, the after 4 hour look , it looks greasy. I appreciate your honest opinion. Tints are transparent not meant for coverage. Now I think I want to try Charlotte Tillsbury.
I do have a recommendation, when wearing MAC Hyper Real Serumizer, don't smile, speak, smirk, talk etc. Joking. It's labelled an illuminator...a buttered pancake looks wonderful...for evening events. For professional makeup to bake and set well, it may take an hour or two after you're done or half hour.
Buttered pancakes def a vibe. Later I tried to use the illuminator only on cheekbones and there its looking ok, so I guess all over the face - is just too much

So the product is not supple and needs perhaps an emulsion that contains an emollient. I think this might work for an anti-aging formula when it doesn't creates makeup striations. It may also need humectants and proteins. It may have not have enough or has too much thickner. Sure these things are about how the products work together...so it may need to undergo further research. In other words, there may be an ingredient that is causing the other products to dry out and contract..or it's an ambient thing. Perhaps, not enough moisturizer, moisturizer makes a huge difference in particular with parched skin that is not moisturized daily. Maybe something like a little SPF will fix those formulas for the time being.
Thank you for commenting. Im not chemist so cant say whats missing. If its paired with some other moisturiser it actually works fine but I didnt notice any wow effect anyway so wont buy this again. Also could be that my skin doesnt like hyaluronic acid in serum but for some other people it would become holy grail

A mac saleslady convinced me to get the serum. She said it works as a primer. I will have to do some experimenting with it. Thanks for your review!
thank you! it can be used as water based primer but may not be enough to hydrate properly. definitely experiment with it!
