Just received the copy I ordered over a month ago, and Pergear have obviously been listening to the reviews because they included a lens hood in the box.
I'd wish for, the "peagear" logo would just being off...or subtle onto the front ring. And second, if a matching 37mm lens hood would being included, because of the flare issues. Besides that - for ca. 70 bucks, a fine small all metal build lens ! i'd wish also for more click-stops between F1.7 - F2.8, at least F2, for instance.
Easy to fix with a acrylic black marker, or a stripe of black tape. The flare I suspect may not be as easy to fix, I had the previous version of this lens (f/1.8) that included a lens hood, and even with that the flare was hard to deal with in some situations.
@@SrCordeiro Yes, i own the old F1.8 version also, and it included the hood. Needless to say, a 37mm lens hood (not vented, that's a joke - because this lens is *not* being used onto a rangefinder - whereas you need a vented hood, to avoid the viewfinder block) costs ca. 2-4 EUR on Aliexpress, it does have a coffee filter shape.
I was waittng for your really wonderful lens review! I'm really concidering to exchange my Ttartisan 23mm f1.4 to Pergear25mmf1.7 now. Maybe not need to exchange lens? I shoot"daily life[indoor & outdoor],Dog & Portraits & Flower & City Scape" Still i like my Ttartisan23mmf1.4 But recently I'm bothering TT23mm a little to contrast[strong?!] & color rendaring[bit different] & Operability[thin aperture ring & lose feeling click aperture ring] Could you give me some advice?
The TTA 23/1.4 (i do own the nice "zebra" silver black lens) is simply being the better lens of the two here - it does cost also really more! Ca. 105-120 bucks, vs. ~70 for the peagear. Also, the 23mm is a fine 35mm into FF (36x24mm) terms, this 25mm is more like a 38mm lens, albeit also fine. And the TTA is at F1.4 more contrasty, than the peagear at F1.7 - and does let into more light, for avialable light, its a fine lens for real.

Nice! I hope you enjoy you're new lens!
i received mine as well but how unlucky it is, i cant mount in the lens, can't rotate until it click
Thank you for another great review video!
Thank you for watching!
1) smaller lens design
2) click stop aperture
3) better optics
4) 37mm filter thread vs. (before) 43mm
5) better looking lens then the older one
...vs older Peagear 25/1.8 lens
Thank you Andrei I didn’t know this lens 😮❤
Thank you for watching!
I have the Pergear 25mm f/1.8. I quite like it. I wonder what improvements this new one might bring?
I can't say I never used the 25mm f1.8. The difference between f1.7 and f1.8 is so small, maybe this one is sharper.
Wonderful lens review, thanks!
My pleasure!

Is it better than the ttartisan 25mm f2?

I think you should consider whether you want to switch from f/1.4 to f/1.7. At f/1.4, you get more light and better subject separation.
OK!Thank you very much😊
