The Loyal Clone of Fulgrim was one of the most intriguing pieces of lore that was taken away from us, so today we explore the question - what if Clonegrim returned to the Imperium?

Yes this is a reupload, Erebus (or probably Timmy) messed with the previous uploads audio and ruined it from the 7 min mark onwards, just when it was getting interesting.
As I was visiting family for the weekend, I couldn't do a rapid reupload so here we are, if you have already watched it then plz watch again to please the algorithm gods.
As for the Calendars, the legendary edition is officially sold out, with there being 48 hours left to secure yourself either an A4, A3 or digital : majorkill.com/
My ears thank you!
It was a Noise Marine
No worries Majorkill. We thought it was some good comedy.
A video on the first founding chapter and the relationship between there most prominent successors would be cool.
It was most likely Fulgrim who messed with the audio sending a noise marine to do so
I think it's just as possible that Trazyn shows up and goes
'OI, Gulliman I got a surprise for ya.
That would be the most fun option personally.
Now I'm just imagining Trayzn with the voice of the trader from Resident Evil 4.
He's Q. If course it's a crossover.
it's be more interesting if someone explained to trazyn that the Tyrannids eating everything would stop him from collecting more stuff for his museum and they might ruin what he does have for what his collection contains. He'd then give Fulgrim to Guilliman just so the imperium had more of a fighting chance
@@PrinceOfDolAlmrothi think he understands: a trynide section broke out once in his museum planet
Huzzah, the noise marines have been banished

I WANNA ROCK AND ROLL ALL NIGHT 🎸
This is my favorite 40k arc hands down. Clonegrim= perfect fulgrim. Win or lose himself I’m not sure, but he definitely kills his corrupted form.
Another legendary victory for the imperium.
Clonegrim: *exists*
Daemon Primarch Fulgrim: "Is that me? Is that me stronger and more handsome than me?... I'LL F***ING KILL ME!!!"
It would be a cool addition to see this behavior in front of Jaghatai Khan who had been, in the past.. pretty much disappointed with Fulgrim
Vegeta? Is that you?
Can’t help wandering what would have happened if a full strength iron hands were around in the HH. Such an underrated legion! Damn you traitor Fulgrim!
If only he had an iron neck 😢
@@mjollnirjchahaha, but seriously too soon bro 😭
@@mjollnirjc pretty sure the book somewhat described ferrus as such. It made it seem like it was the warp shenanigans of the laer blade that allowed fulgrim to easily chop off ferrus' head.
There can only be one who is iron within. Ask Dorn after the iron cage.
@@Prophetofthe8thLegion The Iron Hands get shoved away to make the Iron Warriors shine, otherwise they'd be put to shame.
"God damn it Timmy, stop fu**ing with the audio"
Majorkill, probably
Need clone Timmy
Clonegrim coming back to the Imperium really is such a potentially compelling storyline that GW will sit on and do nothing with.
I think in this case, it's the writers not wanting to step on another's creation without permission and being his creator left with bad blood its unlikely to happen.they may reference clonegrum but thats about it. It's a respect thing from one writer to another
Both alive and kicking would be dope.
Simple. They want to sell figs. Ending the story means they cant sell anything anymore.
@@insidechaos4913 Respect? They don't get their lore straight together, which would show real comradery. They can ask to take on the story, which I see no reason why he would care or not.
I know right?
And the idea of only *one* such character getting a cool redemption arc would hardly make the entire setting nothing but sunshine and rainbows, just a tad more grimbright of sorts.
There’s a great comic short of Clonegrim and Papa Smurf meeting, and Roboute mentions his scar and the fight between him and the original Fulgrim. Clonegrim says he does, and he always remembers being pretty sure Guilliman knew how to duck. There’s a pause, and then Guilliman starts laughing.
Do you know where to find it
@@NicholasRoehrichreddit. It's called Ember Phoenix.
@@rakisuzuki-burke4148 thank you
Honestly thought of a joke where Guilliman was hoping Fulgrim was a traitor to send him back into the statis field...
Roboute: Oh no I dropped the same knife that you stabbed me all those years ago, and I'm all alone without my power armor...
Clonegrim: What?
Roboute: (grabs Clonegrim) PUT ME BACK!!!
It's more than a short comic, mate; _Ember Phoenix_ is currently on its 3rd chapter, and the author/artist has no plans to stop any time soon. 😊
I see you purged the noise marines
In my mind it should go like this: after a long battle between Guilliman and Clongrim against Fulgrim, Guilliman decides that it is better to just execute Clongrim, because he might get corrupted again and because of Clongrims nobility he allows it, and as Guillimans sword is about to strike, a headless Legionary of the damned appears out of nowhere, and blocks the strike, thus redeeming Clongrim.
then after this Guilliman assigns him to the Iron Hands chapter as "atonement" and shits and giggles
@@funeralhippy3209 I think the black templars would be a better fit for that.
A ghostly dreadnaught.
Or a ghostly brother...@@aethertech
You know what would be extra awesome? If the Damned Legionnare bore the Aquila, tarnished but strong, spoke to Clonegrim. And Clonegrim realized the spirit before him was Rylanor.
And then, feeling the forgiveness overtake him, Clonegrim... weeps tears of joy.
Rylanor returning as a spirit of vengeance fighting alongside Clonegrim is the only thing I would ask for in a story like this, and you delivered
Majorkill was stabbed by the Anathema, and in his coma the chaos gods convinced, whispered dark secrets into his ear. This caused him to break up with his real life girlfriend
Bro I didn't watch that part of the video.
So you're saying majorkill is Horus and commit jihad against his gf? XD
Tbf majorkill has a ego especially the "drama" So it fits with Horus for being bald

I am preety sure the breakup thing is a joke

He's a fit bloke on $15k a month. He'll be fine she'll be working in a supermarket.
If he wasn't joking.
@@darthkek1953 Dude, WTF? Why did you need to add that last bit?!
An ending i love to think about is when Clonegrim and Fulgrim duel, Fulgrim is faced with everything he knows he could be and he comitts all his power and new ability to killing his clone.
But then Ferrus manus appears as leader of the legion of the damned and assists clonegrim and saying how happy he is that his brother finally returned.
This completely breaks Fulgrim, to see his greatest regret and the future he lost. He is fully lucid and his death is more like a mercy killing.
Then fulgrim returnd to the imperium and leads not only his gene sons but the gene sons of Ferrus.
Fulgrim....leading the iron hands...
With enough alcohol and shrooms I could accept that.

That's probably why Roderick Graymon then asks for multiple layers of lie detection
What if Robute Guilliman found Angron before he was implanted with the butcher's nails?
I think he already did that or some other TH-camr already made it
@pedrozarco2378 40k theories did, but they left it extremely ambiguous.
Imho it doesn't matter if Guilliman is depressed or not, he'd still show up even if he thought it was a trap because he'd have to find out who has that knowledge, how they got it, and what they were planning.
Not saying he wouldn't show up with a full brotherhood of Grey Knights along with half a chapter of smurfs, some Sisters of Silence and a couple Custodes waiting in the warp with teleport homers ( I think his forced nappy time taught him a lesson) but he'd show up.
Imagine a loyalist Fulgrim, uncorrupted by Chaos, seizing control of his chaotic legion from Slanesh, and leading a chaos legion for the glory of the Imperium.
I think he will ask his dad to thunder warrior them if that hapend
I'd like to imagine that if Clonegrim was given the green light to go, he'd have to constantly have to keep under the inquisitor's radar, maybe even some of the other chapters. He'd literally be doing a penitence crusade on the extremely hard difficulty.
totally, still I never liked idea that Clonegrim=Fulgrim, it would be better if Clonegrim was treated more like Fulgrim"s twin/doppelganger, very similar but still different person.
Something like Gandalf and Saurman in LOTR:“I am Saruman... or rather, Saruman as he should have been”?
The moment Rylanor was mentioned I was completely down for this.
Words can't explain how much I love your what ifs. Also imagining revived Rylanor cookign Slutgrim again is way too good
Could also add in the Ynarrie taking the fuck storm that would result from Clonegrim and Snakegrim fighting for them to try to get that Last Khrone sword that is in Slanesh house.

@@JeremyTheBreadKnife yes, you're "joking"
I gotta say this is your strongest "what if" yet. Very well grounded in lore and not far from a black library plot. Well done mate.
Absolutely agree that Rylanor is an absolute must if Clonegrim makes a comeback, and if he's present at the Clonegrim versus Snakegrim climax, we all know that this ends only one way: With Wilson the Virus Bomb suddenly and rather violently manifested right into Snakegrim's cloaka.
"And he conjures up a dreadnought, Rylanor-"
Dead ass when I heard that I started screaming wahhahahah
maan this redemption adventure aside from being a sick story or novel is actually kind of a sick plotpoint for a wargammer game where we play as the cloned primarch and redeem ourselves
Something in the vein of, say, Brutal Legend where you have both the ability to strategically command your forces and hack-and-slash as Fulgrim.
You know how each loyalist primarch that returned got a piece of big E's gear (sword and shield). I believe if Clonegrim returned to fight for the Imperium he would've gotten big E's codpiece
It would be too big for him.
It more ceremonial than actually useful @@andrewbyrne2173
The big E's "second" shield 😂
@@andrewbyrne2173the lions shield was the Emperor's shoulder pad but his sword is a bastard sword for Guilliman who's smaller than the Lion. The Emperor's gear is whatever size it needs to be
@@Yumao420 you know I was making a joke about the size of Fulgrim’s member right?
oh hey its back
I think that Clonegrim, If he ever escapes? May try to save his legion or get a chapter of his sons to help him, but what do you guys think
Sons of the Phoenix
The Emperors children are too far gone to be redeemed.
@@JohnBeck-pb9xl my frend did you ever heart of the sons of the Phoenix?
@@ghosts14_2 not talking about Calls pet project I'm talking about the OG legion.
The Reupload has better audio, good one mate 👍
It would be quite the twist if loyal fulgrim is the next primarch to return.
I suspect he wouldn’t be accepted and he’d be like the space marine chapters who are loyal but rejected. I could see him gathering them up into a pseudolegion.
I feel like fulgrim and clone grim being a double release would be cool.
Bonus points of valdor gets his own faction and fulgrim becomes a character in his imperium allied faction
@@woodlefoof2 valdor having a grail army would be metal
I know this is talking about canon, but I help but picture this in the TTS verse. Though it would still be super emotional.
I imagine the battle between Clonegrim and Snakegrim going similar to how Gulliman’s and Mortarion’s went. Snakegrim will have Clonegrim on the back foot and defeat seemingly inevitable. Snakegrim then tries to corrupt Clonegrim, offering him his same power to side with chaos. Clonegrim won’t give in however and will echo the same words Rylanor said so many centuries ago: “I reject you now and for always.” At this the reborn Rylanor will burst into white flames and become an aspect of The Emperor, healing Clonegrim of whatever wounds he received while fighting Snakegrim, then turning his attention to Snakegrim and blasting him with his full psychic might, obliterating him a la Horus while also severely damaging Slannesh’s realm and hitting Slannesh right in the dickgina. Fulgrim ( calling him that now since he’s the only one left) then goes and to find Fabius Bile to force him to make another Ferris clone, not to try to corrupt this time but in an attempt to bring him back to life.
I could live with that.
Alright, I was onboard, happily listening along until Rylanor came out of nowhere with a freaking steel chair. Kicked the badassery up to 11 with that one mate.
It would be also interesting, if there was a B plot about hunt for Fabius Bile, so he could create another Primarch and he'd say, that Clonegrim was an anomaly and he has no idea how to make another before escaping.
I call severe bullshit on that one. Fabius has cloned Ferrus Manus multiple times and even Horus Lupercal at least once. And with the new lore after the conclusion of the Horus Heresy leaves the door open for some warp spaghetti shenanigans to resurrect at least Ferrus and Horus....but I'm not holding my breath.
Such a thing would be tantamount to GW suddenly releasing female primaris space marines. Which would be such a colossal mistake that a certain hated black library author shake his head.
@@nil981 Right, I know, but Horus's clone wasn't really primarch, although he was powerful and the same thing is for every other primarch clone he made except Fulgrim (that's why he's called the perfect clone), so he knows how to clone primarchs, but he doesn't know how to make them primarchs.
@@Volnas97it's very heavily implied that primarchs are primarchs due to essentially being minor warp gods bound in mortal form.
So now my question is this: where the hell did fabius bile get a copy of fulgrims warp essence, or at least a fragment of it.
@@nil981 we know chunks can break off, e.g. Magnus’s shards, so maybe a piece did again
Horus Soul was destroyed and Ferrus Soul was claimed by the Emperor for the damned Legion.
Malcador even said, that Ferrus could be brought back if they had enough Time.
I´m 100% sure he meant exactly what Fabius did. Making a new Vessel / Body for the Soul.
But as you said, Fabius has no means to reach into the Warp to bring it back, like Big E or Malcador could (with the Khan).
Maybe the Clones Booty was just too damn perfect, it had it´s own Gravitation to his Soul
My head cannon is that the clone has his actual soul, and the daemon primarch, is still the daemon from the layer blade possessing his body.
I believe that as well.
I actually love that idea.
It is totally bonkers!
A clone Fulgrim, forming a band even shadier then the 200,000 Alpharius's in The Alpha Legion.
Btw that artwork is fcking superb man!
I think that Clonegrim, If he ever escapes? May try to save his legion or get a chapter of his sons to help him, but what do you guys think?
He’ll redeem the noise marines and start a death metal band
Extremely unlikely if not outright impossible with the creator of clonegrim explicitly saying that he was just a macguffin plot device to push forward the story of fabius bile and that he will never return.
@@nil981 True, but impossible things are been coming more possible by every millenia in the 40K universe.
Honestly I wish Trazyn gets to talk with Fulgrim and he becomes the first primarch that has a negotiating contact with Nekrons like Guilliman with Eldar.
They both love the history and arts. It would be really funny if Trazyn gives him some really old Nekron tech like a phase blade too,
@@nil981 while I agree it’s unlikely, GW also used to say the plot would never be advanced
I want clonegrim in the main lore. He'd be so fun in apocalypse.
I'd love to see a loyal clone Fulgrim coming to the Imperium and come to both aid the Imperium, wanting to bring back culture and art, and to come confront his corrupted self.
Here's other good what if scenarios: Rogal Dorn and Leman Russ coming back or what if the 2 lost Primarchs did return and what can they do for the Imperium.
I've had my own head cannon for this for awhile but this video blows it out of the water!
I HAVE BEEN WAITING MAJORKILL.
He could return, reborn like a phoenix... and should without a doubt wield the fireblade reforged in the warp carrying the flaming wrath of Ferrus Manus
Would love to see Clonegrim Vs rape snake in the current setting.
I hold on to the headcannon that it was fulgrim was the one trapped in painting and the daemon tricked the legion into thinking he was the real fulgrim and the sorrow that comes from fulgrim from being trapped in the painting and he own legion thinking he would truely embrace this depravity was causing untold pain and anguish not just cause his legion would believe he would fall so far but also can’t really blame them for believing he would fall so far after he killed ferrus
Sorry to hear about the breakup. Onward to new adventures and discoveries!
Not fair the ultramarines have unlimited geneseed with the return of rouboute.
Sorry about the break up, mate. Kinda love the what-if vids, though my faves are established lore.
This would be a really compelling story for 40k and a unique situation that they could use for the table top.
No censorship by the Inquisition now. Finally we get to hear this delicious video.
I see Rylanor, I like video. Good job!
love this idea, wish they would do it, mainly because, Clonegrim v Lucious, where the Clone disarms or puts Lucious on his knees and instead of killing him gives him to Rylanor, a Deamon of the Emperor, not able to be corrupted, and the man who created him being Big E, so it could be Lucious last death
The Iron Hands would mobilise the whole legion and successors to kill him, OR capture Fabius to clone Ferrus for them, OR, maybe Trazin got the clone Fulgrim so that he can figure out how to clone Ferrus out of Necrodermis.
I feel like if even a clone of Fulgrim were to come back and Guilleman were to welcome it, the IH would not be down and would go renegade. But if you read about Deathwatch Master of the Forge Xerill, there is a very interesting thread of info about a certain necron artifact he found. I feel like if Ferrus is to return, the necrons will indeed play a part.
I think the part of Big G-Man and Clonegrim meeting, with the little trial of the later to make sure he isn't some Chaos stuff is fantastic, as well as the meeting with the Emperor, and of course, Rylanor coming back as part of the Legion of The Damned.
Persobally, I think Clonegrim is gonna be a tool, more or less, for a future introduction to Fulgrim, these two fighting in a book kinda like Morty and G-Man or Johnson and Angron sounds fantastic, if there's a chance that the Emperor's Children are wiped out of the galaxy, with Clonegrim being the leader of this reborn Legion, that plot have my vote, but is just too good to be true.
I think him making the audio cooked in the first upload was intentional then he purged it in the next, like noise marines metaphorically being vanquished by the righteous
We need our uncorrupted purple🟣 bois back! Hope you kid MK, the lass of your seems(ed) like a keeper and kinda badass🤘
I believe the Sons of the Phoenix was officially (by a writer) confirmed that it was indeed Imperial Fist successor
A video of the top ten community made wholesome moments would be great
The Phoenix and The Phonecian is such an obvious must-do its not even funny anymore.
Thanks for fixing the audio I really wanted to be able to listen what you had to say about this one❤
I am currently watching this on saint patriks day in the local pub in Tipperary on saint patricks day, partaking in the worlds longest wake.
Godblees you all happy Saint Patrick's Day
Theres actually a fanfic of this on reddit, it was a bit much at times but enjoyable and tries to stick to canon
Where can I find it?
As the battle rages the clone and the daemon fight, the is disarmed by the speed of the daemon, and now he is lifted by one of the daemon's hands, clasping at it's neck. "You and that fool of an ancient dared to stand against me! I am Fulgrim, not you! I am the rightful leader of the third, not you! I am..."
The daemon was thrown dropping the clone upon the ground as a miughty blow from the side hit it. From behind where the daemon had stood was a warrior, not unlike the Ancient of Rights. The clone could not look at him he immediately knew who it was by those hands of his.
"Get up, brother." though the words were said with sincerity, the clone felt nothing but shame at them. Yet he did as he was bid by the warrior.
He took up his battle stance and the warrior took up a complementary stance. They had done this many times.
The daemon recovered, and saw the worst thing his most glorious of eyes had ever seen. The daemon sneered, "You accept him over me! I am the original!" It said as it lunged at the two of them seeking to right past wrongs.
The battle would be hard fought, if not for the wound Rylanor had given the daemon the Phoenix would not have been able to destroy the daemon.
As the battle ends, the foul among the third legion are cleansed and the the Gorgon begins to vanish. Fulgrim, Reborn thanks his brother, pledging to bring him back and correct this last mistake.
His men stand there, ready for orders. Fulgrim stands before them, and looks upon them all with determination in his eyes, "We are the Emperor's Children, let us go and do great works in my Father's name. Let us the phoenixes rise and cleanse this corrupt galaxy of the taint we so foolishly allowed in."
With those words the men would cheer, with those words Slaanesh would gain another great enemy, with those words, a truth would be revealed, it is possible to be cleansed from the taint of Chaos, it is possible to win.
He would definitely go after OG Fulgrim himself, I can already imagine a "The Phoenix and the Wyrm" title to go along with it.
That would be wild
Super solid video! Gonna subscribe for this. I want more of these!
What if Sanguinius comes back how Guilliman will act ect?
Best video I’ve heard from you in a while. This will be an amazing story. I literally got goosebumps thinking about the meeting between Gman and fulcrums.😂
Great video! As I commented on the first upload, here Iam watching it again. I love these what if scenarios. The flipped heresy videos are my most rewatched.
Gimmie Clonegrim GIMMIE CLONEGRIM
I think we need More what ifs of traitor primachs coming into the fold
This is my favorite kind of your videos, you’re a damn good storyteller.
I think the emperor’s claw would be a better fit as the Phoenix claw because ofc he’d rename it for himself
I love the idea of Rylanor being in this. CloneGrim and Rylanor could eventually reconcile. This would be an epic story. CloneGrim should win. It gives him a chance to help Roboute fix the Imperium. Guilliman really needs the help.
The noise marines have been eliminated and the video was saved 😂
When you mentioned Rylanor it gave me mad chills
It's about time you made this video
Thanks for the re-upload
It would difficult to sell on paper but I think it would so cool from a storytelling perspective if clone Fulgrim renounced his legion and joined the iron hands in an attempt at redemption for killing his brother and with their help hunting down the emperor’s children. And slowly fulgrim in honor of ferrus tries bringing back the teachings of Ferrus about accepting organic flesh
Please make this a series !
A the noise marines have left us this time
I think that Clonegrim should win, as one such great redemption story would be great but also wouldn't magically make the setting suddenly all sunshine and rainbows, just a bit more grimbright in some ways.
Right off the bat, a picture of Primarch Fulgrim
This is great work !
The noise marines have been defeated for this video
10.31 man, i haven't even thought of that! that's awesome!
The clone Fulgrim coming to the Imperium to help would boost morale and greatly cause a change for a few space marine chapters. And somewhere in the middle of this event, you hear the real Fulgrim damning the clone and Guiliman as they rally others to their cause.
My personal headcanon would be similar, I do like the idea of his emperor's weapon being the bolter, an uneligant ranged weapon to teach imperfection and distance
My personal change was that instead of finding loyalist ECs we put him not in leadership but custody of his would be biggest neighsayers.
The Iron Hands
A legion without a primarch, one who would undoubtedly kill clonegrim the second he steps out of line. But clonegrim could also teach them that maybe there is still strength in flesh as his has decided to prove its loyalty.
Instead of reviving Rylenor how about clonegrim, now with the master forgers. Repairs and old Battlerobot that nobody could fix and name it after Rylenor or Saul Tarvitz
This was surprisingly brilliant! What a great story this would be no matter how it ended.
Gulliman would be the last person id want to see if i was Fulgrim after giving him a 10k year nap
Clonegrim slaying Lucius the Eternal would be the only way to truly kill the traitorous Astartes, at least in my mind aside from specially made demon-slaying weapons. Clonegrim, with all the memories of Fulgrim, would only feel utter sadness at the death of his children. There would be no pride in the killing, only shame in the depravity he (Fulgrim) had allowed his legion to fall to.
Man’s dedication and passion to the calendar is inspirational
I wish we’d see something like this so bad. I loved loyal Fulgrim.
Excellent video!
I don't know much about other channels but your commissioned art Pieces are dopo! Cheers
Rylanor as a body guard would be the shit. He has the biggest balls in all of 40k, his default is no fucks to give.
Imagine him joining the Imperium and ending up fighting against the actual Fulgrim.
Thx the audio is ok
Omg ya finally did it!!!
Great story outline. I would read that.
