The first Twilight is unironically good- it actually has a vision, a distinct color grading and design, whereas the others are very mass-markety and lose some of their charm. The soundtrack is iconic for the whole series though!
absolutely agree with all of that! the sequels really just aren't as good (i will continue to watch them though👀) and i LOVE the soundtrack so much

thank you!! and crocheting definitely takes a bit to get the hang of it, but once you get it down it's super easy and you can watch things or listen to audiobooks while you do it

Hey Katie, I'm currently reading the Twilight series too! I finished the first book and I loved it, I couldn't put it down! I'm going to re-watch the Twilight movie today! My current read is New Moon and my thoughts on it so far is really good! I''m on chapter 13.

Hi Katie! Curiously, I haven't read Le Fanu's novel. I've seen Dreyer's Vampyr and its remake by Werner Herzog (with Kinski and Adjani), but I don't remember Sapphic leanings in Carmilla, though female vampires don't fret over a few sweet throats.
I want to tell you that your vlog is hitting new heights once again. I am surprised by the optical and video quality of your Canon cameras. On my smartphone, it's super sharp and the colors are very beautiful. You are a girl full of qualities, I did not expect to find you crocheting. You have a sense of color before the computer. I think you’d really enjoy the graphic novel Fangs by Sarah Anderson if you haven’t already read it. It’s a light read with a spooky vibe just because it involves a love story between a vampire and werewolf. I am also going to read A Dowry of Blood by S.T Gibson this fall and I’m excited for it!

Honestly I'm sad that I missed out on the nostalgic love for twilight. Cause I know if I read that series today at 19 years old I will probably hate it lol
you should maybe try the first movie and go in with the expectation that it's really bad? i forced my roommate to watch it with me (it was her first time seeing it) last november and she really enjoyed the movie and started reading the book soon after! you still might hate it... but i feel like everyone should see the movie at least once lol
