7:22 So true. For the first two years of being a mom, that was my entire life. I was a single mom from the start, and everything I did revolved around my baby. I loved being a mother, but I lost a part of myself. Now I am entering my fourth year of motherhood and I run a business, make sure to make time for myself, and I DON'T feel guilty about it. Because I was so many things before becoming a mother, and having kids does not diminish my ability to be a woman outside of that identity. If anything, it has given me strength and built confidence in other areas of my life too!
Firstly, you two are a dynamic and inspiring duo. Thank you for being so open & honest. I definitely want to get a copy of this book. May God continue to bless you both as you lead, encourage & inspire woman all over the world. Much love from Canada💗
I read this book, and absolutely loved it. I even featured it on my blog a week ago because I want more people to be encouraged and empowered by Christy's wonderful words. I loved it!
So excited about this! I've already pre-ordered, but now seeing this video, it gives me so much hope! We recently moved in with my folks to become caregivers. I'm really encouraged by seeing this. Maybe I really could live my business dreams while also doing what God has led me to do here! :)
I made the second cut to be a reader/reviewer of the book!!!!!! I am beyond excited and am already up to chapter 3. I am loving the book so much so far!
Right now, I’m in between a dreamer and a starter. I have my passion which is genealogy but I don’t know where to branch out into that realm. I could be a blogger, writer, instructor, teacher, investigator, etc. I could create a certain product in that realm that’s needed. There’s so many subcategories. I just don’t know where I want to go with it yet.
This is perfect timing. I am planning on leaving the company I am working for and starting my own in the next six months. I have a background in business management, but I am still terrified. I will start from my home. I am not a risk taker and it is scary to me. I will be selling a service not a product.
I want the book, but I've been working to pay the bills for so long that i have no idea how to turn my skills as a paralegal to start a business. I don't really have a lot of skills that people will use.
Rosa so untrue! the nack for writing emails to our ex's/family law alone would be so helpful in as business, where an attorney would be so expensive to have them do that all the time, someone to fill in between court dates or following the parenting plan or legal document.
I personally think it might have a lot to do with what Sheryl Sandberg writes about in Lean In - there are so many biases that women face in the professional world. And as Christy said in this video, women face so much fear when jumping into their dreams. She specifically addresses that fear in this book.

Why would it be different for women and men?

How do you feel about the Mary Kay Opportunity?
