I LOVE these tiny postcard cabins! We stayed at one close-ish to our house, and the lock box the kids got a kick out of!

Cool way to already be teaching your kids the value of disconnecting! 😊

Which location have you gone to Kristen? I really would love to check out more of these. 🥰

A weekend getaway alone sounds magical! One of my biggest goals is to be able to hire a nurse or therapist to stay with my son for a couple days here at home, but I struggle with the idea of leaving him with someone else. I'm always thinking, are they going to give him his medications on time? Will they give him the right dosages? Will they be kind and gentle with him if he has a meltdown while I'm gone? Will they be able to understand his way of communicating with us? Maybe when he's older I'll be able to do a solo retreat but for now, taking him with me into the woods is something I think he might actually enjoy. He LOVES being outdoors :)

Totally get what you are saying with respect to your son. You are such an amazing mama! I am sure that a getaway with him would be delightful as well!

Loved this!! I hope to find a similar location cabin in MI. Would you mind sharing what your price per night was? Also, the link for your packing list isn't working. Thank you again for sharing your tips.❤

Thanks Marianne! It looks like they have locations about an hour from Detroit, as well as Chicago, if either of those is near to you. The pricing did vary at the Indiana location that I went to, but I managed to find several days in a row at their lowest price point, which was $75 a night. Best wishes in creating your own getaway experience. I’m sure you won’t regret it.
