    I TIG welded mine and it worked great! No buckling of the table either. I used a small amount of butyl tape underneath the washer in order to offer an added seal.

    Sound like the self tappers are a weak area too. Thanks for the heads up I’ll be figuring out a different way to secure the pan along with welding the seam when mine arrives

    Love your videos man. Keep up the good work. We tigged our water table with 309L on both sides during the initial build, zero leaks. Also, "Lang-Mere" not "Lang-Meyer". I had to listen myself to one of their own tutorial videos to hear how they say it.

    I just got mine and put it together and the first time I put water in it, it leaked. Sure a person could find someone to tig the halves together, but another suggestion I would have is for either Langmuir systems to just send a 1 piece pan that is formed so water drains to 1 spot in the middle or to have a local fabrication shop make you a 1 piece pan with just 1 central drain.

    I just welded the pan, (Tiged it with silicon brass) before I set it up,

      308L filler (it's stainless)

    Just curious wh didn't you weld it from the underside? Would've been simpler to tig.

    • @BecksArmory
      @BecksArmory  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Welding from the top is more forgiving. If you burn into the metal a bit too much it doesn't matter. you're not going to make a hole like you would if you weld from the bottom. I'm sure you can weld it from the bottom.

    What grade filler did you use? Thank you

    • @BecksArmory
      @BecksArmory  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I used a little bit of 308L in the screw valleys. For 90% of it I didn't use any filler at all.

    I think I would have flipped it over, welded the bottom and cut out that center seam then re welded and ground it smooth from the top. Don't know jack about tig so not sure if it would work but that was my thought when you said weld it.

    • @BecksArmory
      @BecksArmory  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I considered doing this but since the table is crazy thin material I didn't want to risk burning thru. If you weld from the top the process is extremely forgiving. You can over penetrate up to a 1/2" and you'll not make a hole. It may have looked nicer but I didn't want to risk it. Keeping the ridge does give you extra rigidity.

    I only have one comment on the silicone, why not cover that ridge, with a piece of inverted angle iron? Just looking for a K.I.S.S! Solution. Cheers!

    • @BecksArmory
      @BecksArmory  ปีที่แล้ว

      You could try it but I feel like it would leak no mater what.

      @@BecksArmory it may stop the silicone from burning. The main problem.

    I think there should be no seems No screws should be 6" deep at least That's the thing about this table I don't like love the table
