Im at that same contract number. I feel Manea wants to be hear if we make him a fair offer. Jeremy heffner deserves a great deal of credit for working with Sean to get better
A lot of innings last year, 32 years old (not tremendously aged, but still the wrong side of 30), and a new delivery that puts more strain on the body. I love Manaea, but he’s a bit of an injury risk.
So waooo , manea have 1 good season these last few years and already 32 years . He looks great compared to last season. He throws to much out of the strike zone and falls behind in the count. Come again good season but we can get better pitchers these off season. He makes Othani looks bad but other batters beat him to the punch. Not going to be messing.
Thats fair and understandable. They need to add multiple arms. I think Manea has at least 2 more good years left. But the mets have other good options besides Manea
I want to see the Mets go after pitchers who dont walk many batters and can give you length. It took Manaea most of the year to hit his stride. Still walks too many, its easy to see when hes losing it. Severino is the same way. The stats seem good, but you always fear him losing it quickly, like he loses his concentration. As Ive said before, hes not a #1, hes a #2 at best. Id like to see McNeil gone, Pete can go too, he can be replaced. It gets tiring to see him flail at outside breaking pitches. There are a few decent bats out there that can take his place. Pete earned points for his playoffs, but its too little too late.
I know it’s a business but Sean seems like a guy that won’t opt out on a team that he seems to love playing for, he probably already has multiple teams bidding for him, if he really wanted to he would of opted out by now like other teams players are doing.
I would 100 percent bring back manea, we know he loved pitching here, proved he can handle ny, and he’s a lefty which coupled with Peterson, would give us two good lefties in the rotation.I would give him a three year deal for 22- 25 a year.
Take Manaea for 70-75 and would love Burnes but he’s probably looking for 7-8 years.. No thank you Flaherty but would take Fried for 5 years although he’s often injured
@ that rotation sounds excellent. There’s no reason to not land Soto. The Mets have a much brighter future. 170 million to shell out over free agents, and the richest owner who can embarrass them with a huge bid.
9:36 YOUG 😂😊
Lol!!!
@dominantmetsnation8156 😊🤜🤛
great stuff....love the show and info....
Thanks so much !! Im so glad you feel that way
How about signing Walker Buehler and Roki Sasaki, if he is posted by his team in Japan?
I would definetly explore those 2 options. Walker has really come a long way. He deserves alot of credit and the guy has nasty stuff !!!
I’m down for buehler. Sasaki won’t get posted sounds like. Next year he will. Even if he sits out the team makes a ton more if it’s next year.
Yes
I’m willing to pay Manaea 25 million per year for 3 years

No more than 3. Also I think he’ll go deeper this year coming cuz he hasn’t pitched this many innings. His body will adjust going forward.

Willing to pay 3years 60Mil
Thats pretty fair !

Keep Tyrone Taylor, great defense and clutch, part time player is his strength!!!
Taylor was phenomenal
Not sure if he's worth 25 million a year
Its definetly a risk, but i think he was such a positive influence on the clubhouse and on a guy like peterson..
2years,15million per year, that's what I would do, not a penny or 1year more!!!
I don’t know if BURNES harbors ill will towards Stearns over arbitration hearings in Milwaukee but maybe a lucrative contract offer can change that
Definetly!! Money heals all wounds. I like the Burnes option

How wild would it be if the Yanks let Cole and Soto walk?

That would be a disaster. Cole will be back though. The soto sweepstakes will be more interesting
Mets are going to resign Manea
80 for 4?
That is definetly going to be in the ballpark !!
Yankees should sign meinaa
That would be a very solid signing for the yanks !
Also hate to see JD MARTINEZ, TYRONE and BADER go. They brought a lot to the team's chemistry and veteran experience.
Jd will retire

A rotation of manea , burnes, fried, senga, peterson, and sprout sounds awful good. Tough to do, but would cetainly help out if we dont get goto
