- In this video I reveal my most favourite zero waste items that I often use in my art journal (and sometimes I use them in paintings too). Of course, I also show you some of my brand new spreads in my art journal.

1. Fabrics
I love using fabrics; old clothes, old carpets, rags. Ask your friends and family to save these things for you! The thinner, the better it fits in your journal.
2. Packaging material
All kind of packages can be handy to use in your journal. Think of gift paper, shoebox paper, envelopes and old book pages. Extra fun: use old tea bags or colour catchers.
3. Things you find in the hardware store
Two of the best things to use are colour swatches and samples of wall paper. If you're lucky, you can ask for old wall paper books as well!
4. 3D things
Some things you can't not use to glue in your art journal, but are wonderful to stamp or use for a stencil though. Think of plastic boxes (my pizza box from Spain is great!) and random carton pieces with nice texture.
My pages are filled with items that everyone brought to my studio. The assignment was to bring 4 or 5 things that you were about to throw away. Everyone brought things to fill our journals with and it was big fun! So, think twice before you throw your rubbish in the bin...

J'habite en Bretagne, pres de la mer, dans le Finistere.
Les couleurs changent tout le temps et j'adore peindre la mer., avant, c'etait tres académique, puisque j'ai fait des etudes de dessin, apres, j'ai travaillé dans la publicité et depuis la mort de mon Papa, je peins des mers en colère, de l'abstrait.j'etais triste et j'avais le besoin de l'exprmer par de grands coups de pinceaux ..
Rien à voir avec mes premiers dessins.

Bonjour Michele, Haha oui, mon mari garde souvent toutes sortes de choses pour moi, parce qu'il pense que je pourrais peut-être l'utiliser. J'ai beaucoup de chance avec lui Merci pour vos compliments. Comme c'est agréable de vivre dans le Finistère. Nous y sommes également allés avec notre camping-car. C'est très beau là-bas. Comme c'est bien de pouvoir s'exprimer avec vos peintures. Je suis curieux de savoir ce que vous faites. La peinture a un effet curatif, vous ne trouvez pas? Beaucoup d'amour, Luz

Merci Nicole! Je parle et écris un peu français. Je n'ai pas besoin de Google Translate pour lire le français, mais j'ai besoin de Google Translate pour l'explication ci-dessous... Peut-être que cela vous aidera : activez le bouton cc en bas à droite. Ouvrez le menu à côté (avec la molette) et cliquez sur 'Sous-titres CC'. Choisissez ensuite « Autotraduire », puis sélectionnez « English ». Cela fonctionne pour moi, bonne chance!
