    I used to be a bartender. A glass or mug would often slide on the smooth bar. Seems it had something to do with the temperature and dampness of glass. Very common

    The glass thing is actually easy to explain. If you have a glass with on concave bottom what can happen if the glass is wet it can slide on a smooth surface. Its why most glasses bottles and jars have some sort of textured and concave bottom.

    • @thomasmenard1799
      @thomasmenard1799 2 ปีที่แล้ว +13

      @@Fatty.D.McButterpants it doesn’t have to be condensation it simply could have just came out of the sink or some water spilled when pouring the glass.

    • @jdanon203

      I was thinking the same thing, and even though we don't see a condensation trail, it only takes a very very thin layer of water to reduce friction to zero allowing the glass to slide assuming there's a slope to the table.

    Everything in this video is fake or can be explained with physics. But, I admit that they are fun to watch! About that glass....Simple physics. The glass formed condensation that collected at the base of and beneath the glass. The water UNDER the glass created enough pressure to slightly lift the glass. As the glass slid the water was dispersed leaving only enough water beneath it to create a suction strong enough to make the glass "stick" to the table. This is actually a very common occurrence when you have two very smooth surfaces (such as glass) and water between the the two surfaces.

    The first one with the glass. If the glass has had a cold liquid in it, it could have condensation on the outside and on the bottom. If the glass table is even slightly out of level when the glass is moved, it could be sliding on that moisture. I've had it happen to me at the kitchen table.

    I'm very skeptical about these things too. I did have a weird thing happen in 1998 at our home about an hour outside of Chicago. It was in the afternoon, my husband, myself and our 2 golden retrievers were enjoying our large backyard. All of a sudden there was a massive EXTREMELY BRIGHT light in the sky. We saw no objects, just this terribly bright light (like bright enough that you almost felt like it could hurt your eyes. We couldn't see any objects that it came from, but it illuminated a space of at least 150 yards. The light came all of a sudden, lasted maybe 5 seconds and was gone. I looked at my husband because I thought I was crazy, he looked at me and asked 'What was that?!'. He moved to the U.S. from the UK a few years prior, and didn't know if it was some sort of a test or something that he just hadn't been aware of. The dogs were catching frisbee's and stopped dead in their tracks. They just looked around sort of confused. It was weird, and I never heard anything more about it. We didn't know our neighbors well, and we never asked them if they saw it. Like I said, I am very skeptical of stuff, but it was caused by something....we just didn't know what.

He passed away in that apartment and wasn't discovered for a week. The funny thing is, I asked my roommate if she had seen him and she said that he usually went on vacation at that time. His family hadn't heard from him so they had the landlord enter the apartment. They found him in his bed. I told her that I didn't need to hear that. It was CREEPY!

    4:40 This is something I have seen many times, especially in humid environments. A glass of cool drink will cause the glass to sweat, and condensation will form a small puddle under the glass. In certain situations, the water gets trapped under the glass. As it tries to escape, the glass will literally float on the water across the table. This works best with smooth surfaces, like glass on glass. It also results in a slight vacuum, like a suction cup, that makes the glass "stick" to the table.

    I had just come to work, and while I waited for the bartender whom’s place I was taking to finish counting her drawer, I started going around and picking up napkins, straws and empty glasses.
    I must note here that the bar was quiet and very few people were in.
    Anyway, as I headed toward a glass on the bar, it moved. I stopped dead. Then all I could do was stare, and think that it must have been my imagination.

    Millie think of the definition of UFO. Unidentified Flying Object, not Unidentified Flying Aliens. Objects include aircraft, kites, balloons, drones, etc. Don't let the unknown freak you out; there's plenty of every day familiar to hold your attention.

    The glass was basically hydroplaning(not literally). I've seen it happen a number of times over my lifetime. Nothing paranormal about it. I say hydro because it happens more often on glass surfaces when a drink has condensation on it. I've also seen it happen with soda cans on a glass surface. It can happen with or without the condensation, though I've only ever seen it happen without condensation when the drink is in a glass container on a glass surface.

    I've seen a glass slide before.. It has to be a glass or polished surface with a little condensation on the bottom of the glass or cup.. A little vibration sets it moving.

    I agree with Millie about the color changing attaché, the switch was probably in the handle. I also agree with Millie about the Michael Jackson look-alike guy. It is sad that this is the way he chooses to live his life and express his talents. 😢Telling a Tale on myself: When the first Jaws movie was released in the theaters, I screamed as each of the three air-filled corks/buoys popped up and got laughed at by the theater patrons. Then when Jaws burst up on the boat I just sat there while the rest of the theater patrons screamed! 🤣

    A glass will often move when condensation builds up underneath the glass. Being that it is setting on a glass surface. It is more likely to move than on a porous surface. And suction created by the condensation would explain why he couldn't lift the glass.

      This is what I was thinking too. When water condenses under the glass it also forms a bubble which lifts the glass slightly making it glide. Like a hovercraft. That being said, i dont see any water on the table

Watch the same videos without the provided context and your common thoughts would explain what is actually happening. It’s a technique that many different industries use.

    The mysterious moving glass could simply be explained if you consider the two materials interfacing, which is glass. Add moisture from condensation; as little as one drop would be enough. It would reduce the friction and Bob's your uncle; movement

    The glass on a glass table can move by itself if the glass has moisture on the bottom of it. Creates a barrier or suction that will let the glass slide.

    The 1st with the glass. I've experienced something like that a few times in my life.
    If there is condensation or a bit of moisture where you sit the glass down, it will slide a bit. So that wasn't a spooky or eerie occurrence at all.

    The cold sweaty glass 9n the table is a trick I do all the time. Take a glass of ice water and pick it up hold it for a few seconds so the condensation gets on the bottom of it. Put it down on the same wet spot you picked it up from qnd it will move by itself. The proof is when he said when he tried to pick it up it was stuck. The air created a pillow type effect. Water on top air in the middle water on the bottom with the weight of the glass on top will make it move everytime! Play with it ... it's a cool trick

    You have to keep in mind CGI for things like the 'Bird'. There was a 'News Cast' in South American Country (If I remember correctly it was Peru), where they showed an alien Creature walking behind the Journalist doing an Interview outside, where the Alien walked about 20 feet 'In Shot' off to the side, that made a huge buzz. It was later found out that the Newsroom Director added the creature in using CGI after tens of Thousands of people called in to the Newsroom telling them it was there.

    In all honesty the color changing briefcase idea seems pretty spot on. That technology already exists on all world currencies. Watermarks and holograms that change depending on the angle and lighting. It would make perfect sense for a briefcase with classified information to have such characteristics. There's also a scientific explanation for the glass moving involving moisture and air pressure. It's a very rare occurrence, but the fact that he felt a cold chill just before it moved just adds to the theory that it could be pressure building up under the cup causing it to slide and then the air pressure changing and suctioning it to the table briefly. I have been investigating paranormal activity for many years, and the one thing I've learned, is that there is a logical explanation for almost everything, almost.

  • @lesliehermanns615

    I believe that the first video is condensation under the glass. On a glass table, it can cause it to slide if it is not level. It would also explain why he couldn't move it back because it would suction to the glass table.

  • @JenDowd444
    @JenDowd444 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    I think there was something magnetic on the bottom of the glass. You could then have a string with a magnet under the table that would not be seen. Which is probably why he could not pick the glass up.

    15:25 The case changing color can easily be achieved using a video filter that isolates the green case and applies a chroma filter to make it red in real-time. This effect would be visible on video but not in person. Most consumer video programs can accomplish this, and it can certainly be done by any professional news setup. It would also explain why it was still green behind the car.

    The first one with the glass is caused by condensation on the glass. Because of the smooth table top and shape of the bottom of the glass water forms under the glass causing it to slip across the table. When he attempted to pick it up he was trying to pick it straight up causing suction.

    Your right. A bad camera that the bird was filmed with. When you could see the bird flickering it was coming into view as it got closer you could see it more clearly. But when it got out of view also known as going into the distance it disappeared but that is because of the bad picture quality it gave it the look of disappearing.
