How are u gonna talk about Canadian basketball and not talk about MVP Steve Nash. For 10 years he was Canadian Basketball. Even though he was from B.C he inspired a lot of Toronto kids.
black people don't mention white dudes hah :D :D but that's not racism... it's only racism when it's reverse
Steve Trash never got a ring or a NBA Finals appearance so nothing to talk about
They did mention him in 8:42
@@borey977 Magloire and Murray neither so your point is not valid anyway.. Steve Nash is a 2 time MVP by the way
@@blackky92 Murray hasn't even reached his prime but Steve Trash only has 2 Mvps but no rings no finals mvps no finals appearances no conference titles and no all star accomplishments
Finally they made a video about Toronto. We been on the rise. Toronto will be scary in the next years to come. Been a fan since 96. Love my city :)
Eastern Commerce was a staple in Toronto basketball history. With that said I can't leave out Bathurst Heights! Some of the cities legendary players came from those schools!
I believe the first NBA game was played in Toronto.
oakwood collegiate as well for Basketball
@@turboplazz true that!
Toronto is great. I miss living there, the freedom I used to have. Just roaming on the streets was great. It was fun, I will go back soon
Jamal Murray giving facials on and off the court
STFU what are you 12 smh
@@JustMeELC lol are you outta the fuckin loop?
everywhere in canada is toronto to y’all
Who else is watching after qualifying for the NBA 2019 finals?
SUCH A GREAT VID LOVE IT SO GOOD
Today is June 13, 2023... Last night Jamal Murray's Denver Nuggets won the NBA Championship

T PROD. IT"S BUUUULLLLSHIT
Right here. Murray Forest Heights. I’m a Rez kid but still down with Murray.

Murray is my favorite player. Hope he stays in Denver for a long time. Let’s go nuggets
Watch out world! Canada is shining right now!!!
Yooo I wish we had a team in Montreal
The language difference would make it hard
@@wintervolcano5266 not really a lot of people from Montreal could speak English not all but I heard there’s a lot
I'm happy that Toronto has come to bury the hatchet for the most part with Vince Carter.
VC and those early Raptors made them relevant and built the foundation that these young Canadian players learned the game and flourished.
Jamal Murray is from Kitchener...I played against him in high school.
Josh Ramirez is Kitchener where you keep your women
Yeah he went to my highschool. Team Reda. They went to my school for credit recovery so they could finish and get their highschool credits , and then go furfill their scholarship. Same with thon maker he was at my school to everyday we seen them and said waasup
It was a program that my highschool had set in place (best cresit recovery in Canada) people all over the place, (mostly basketball players) come and get their credits.
Shoutout my boy jim we both from kitchener.canada really has huge talent to fight for a medal at the 2020 olympics
Now look at him with the nuggets in the western conference finals 💯
Born in Brampton, raised in Oakland, love the Raptors because they're in my blood.
I'm chillin in Brampton right now how ya doing?
your prp
Drake & Nav Bhatia and John Tory - The all Should get a Ring also 😀❤
That hill in Jamal Murray’s clip is no joke climbing up when your tobogganing in the winter I live super close to there
So I guess Steve Nash gets no credit as a Canadian Basketball Player....
This was a focus on basketball in t.o
At 8:42 he talks about Steve Nash.
Vice dont care about promoting WHYTIES
Nash ain't shit ! He ain't black so he irrelevant.
Nash is from British Columbia.
They are talking about Toronto.
Most people don't know that the first NBA game was in Maple Leaf Gardens in 1946. Toronto Huskies VS New York Knickerbockers
Darwyn Cenidoza Lmao, knickerbockers and yep.
12:12 He spoke it into existence
Is that intro produced by Philthy?
There is a guy at 2:26 that looks exactly like kawhi
Wow that's a good catch, lol.
Who is here after watching last's night game and now Jamal and the nuggets are heading to the WCF?
Who’s Here After The Championship And Parade 🙋🏼♀️
The impact the Raptors have had on basketball in Canada is MASSIVE.
Lamar Murray, Elijah Fisher and RJ Barrett next Canadian basketball stars
purelystellar0824 *Jamal Murray
duuude this is so well put together!!
For the record Kitchener and Toronto are 2 different cities and aren't interchangeable
It's part of the GTA you twit. Sit tf down.
@@TorontoSportsNetwork2 no its absolutely not. Never has Kitchener been a part of the GTA. Not even hamilton is part of the GTA. All it took was 2 seconds of googling to find out but no, you chose to look like an idiot. Congrats, it looks good on you.
@@TH-camr76239 stop talking about things you don't understand. There's a reason why KW is serviced by GO trains.
The Golden Horseshoe is a secondary region of Southern Ontario, Canada, which lies at the western end of Lake Ontario, with outer boundaries stretching south to Lake Erie and north to Lake Scugog and Lake Simcoe. It is contiguous with the Greater Toronto Area and adjacent upper-tier municipalities with substantial urban agglomerations.
amazing video! very motivational, and this is just the beginning. WE THE NORTH!!!
Bennett and Wiggins are arguably two of the worst first overall picks in history
Bennett was no.1 because the draft was weak, not really his fault. Wiggins has been a bust though.
Lol wiggins is no where close to the worst first overall pick he hasn’t lived up to the hype but.
This aged incredibly with both the Raptors and Jamal
So many hoopers from canada have parents from Jamaica
Great video it’s good to see Canada evolve into a power nation of Basketball.
"I ain't never seen Toronto in a move or nothing"
idk if he's joking but Toronto is frequently used to emulate american cities like new york or chicago in movies.
i thought the same thing. lol
It's just like you said "emulate American cities", but still not presented as Toronto that's what he meant. Flims so far haven't been SET in Toronto only FILMED in Toronto
2:04 all my brampton mans we got the soccer center nets in the vid LETS GO!!!!
I really hope Toronto re-signs Kawhi. A great basketball city deserves a great basketball player.
Bernie Wen yeah bit Toronto ain't birth him or draft him so he don't count
Vice is finally coming back with some good content
KITCHENER!!! Mount Trashmore! Represent Jamal!
Lol ikr. I grew up around the corner from there when it was still a derelict landfill haha.
That's not Mt Trashmore. Jamal and his dad are shooting hoops in the Stanley Park area near Grand River Collegiate.
Jamal Murray is from Kitchener which is an hour away from Toronto.
If the camera crew is smart they stopped by Randy's and got some Oxtail and a patty.
Jamal Murray is from Kitchener. No one has ever considered that to be in the greater Toronto area.
Not taking anything away from Toronto but per capita the best city for hoops is the D.C. metro area per capita. Vice you should do a special on D.C. hoops!
LA is the mecca.
They did it for Toronto because Canada isn't known as a basketball nation.
LA has a bigger population sister but doesn’t breed as many great b-ball players. Canada is known to people who play b-ball but it isn’t the most talented is what I was trying to say. Plus, wasn’t it for just Toronto?
Kalmar917 DMV is the best basketball city by far
Kalmar917 DeMar DeRozan, Russell Westbrook, Kawhi Leonard, and Klay Thompson come to mind? Canada can't compare to LA.
Proud to be Torontonian, We the North 🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦
Crazy that the Raptors are about to win the chip....Canada's gonna go super crazy.
That Superfan was sweet. Really liked what he liked about the atmosphere.
basketball was invented in Canada and the first game was played in Toronto too
Americans owe a great debt of gratitude to both Canada and Dr. James Naismith for inventing this great game.
You Canadians and your revisionist history
Great documentary
When he said the leafs never win I took it personally
Lol it is the truth still stands to this day I’m a leafs fan too
Vince Carter put Toronto out there too in a big way, he's been in the league so long I think people forget how big the Vinsanity era was
Prince George's County MD is and always will be the hot-bed for basketball talent in the world
twizzum5 yooo u ain’t lying bro. I moved here in DC from ATL last year and I went out to sum rec center man them niggas especially 8th graders youth generation on a whole different level. Handles crispy asf and talking shit more compared to where Im from. They def got that confidence fr. Crazy asf. I gotta question, where do u practice on ball handling if you don’t have any basement or room type to work on ball handling drills? Cuz I live in a condo but it’s way different from where Im from. Tryna figure out how to work It out cuz Im a hooper so Im really tryna get to overseas or pro
Amir B practice by dribbling a tennis ball
@Alex Perez nah that's not wat I meant. I know my method for ball handling drills but I just need to figure out where to do them if ion have access to gym
LA is better.
Like Durant and m Beasley, we got some heat for real
it takes a Sihk to be that nice and dedicated of a person. The Sihk people are the best, they just work hard, look out for themselves and anyone in need (anyone of any race or creed), and they don't have resentment in their hearts. Many times the Sihk people have been attacked and never are they looking for revenge or compensation for what's been done to them, just forgiveness. They are model human beings, that i and everyone should hold in high esteem because every last one of them i've ever met (and i live in toronto) are simply amazing human beings, that would give you the shirt of their back and the shoes off their feet.
Yankees are funny. Toronto is a beast of talent in every industry. Bare witness to the takeover.
Yeah as it becomes Canadas Muslim shithole
Basketball was invented by a Canadian... as an American i say stay proud guys!!
