What is your barrel length? I have a 26” barrel on my 6.8 western xbolt hells canyon long range. I’m reloading the 175 sierra tgk’s with 6.5 StaBall powder and easily getting 3000 fps without pressure signs or compressed loads.
I have to disagree on one point. Multiple firings won’t normalize your head spacing after sizing. The brass work hardens with each firing and your cases will develop different degrees of hardness. If you wish to reduce shoulder bump variances after sizing… seriously consider annealing your brass. Annealing will also produce more consistent neck tension which contributes to improved precision. Cheers!
6.8 owner and a reloader as well. Thanks for your sharing of your procedures.
Thank you for sharing your time and experience! Love the 6.8 Western!

24” and I just got up to 2930FPS without pressure
Did you do a water volume before after firing?
ADG Brass is coming and Lapua 300 WSM is already available to convert.
Thanks for the walkthrough 👍
Use a borescope to see how much your neck length to match your chamber
