Hi Renee, my hair colour went from Strawberry blonde to suddenly starting to darken when I was mid twenties, after humming and haaing a while I took the plunge to colour it so I was more like myself. A couple of years back I suddenly became allergic to the dye. So...now 52 on July 11th I have what I call mousy brown...but..I can see the strands of red which I love ❤️ and the odd white one 😂 and yes... staying exactly like I am 🌟 So...good on you Renee ❤
Age is only a number you don't look your age and I don't either I'm 5 years older and people think I'm 35 to 45 ish .. so I'm happy for that .. genetics
I decided to stop coloring my hair because I don't want anything to do with chemicals in anything anymore, my hair was falling out by the handfuls when I washed it. It's already so much fuller now. And I wanted to see what it looks like naturally. I want to be my authentic self. Constant salon appts were stressing me out too. I'm 55 and grew mine out 3 inches so far and it's not as grey as I thought it would be. I'm actually Loving all the different colors and highlights I missed seeing in my younger years that hair dyes just can't mimic. I completely understand you . Thanks for your inspiration ❤
I have grey hair. Had it since in was about 25. I colored often. Now that I’m in my 40s I’m saying…you know what, this is me. I’m not coloring it anymore. Take it or leave it. I now have about 2 inches grown out. I am encouraged by your beautiful hair and outlook on life. Im glad I found this channel. Im subscribed. Peace and blessings.
Getting rid of the chemicals was my main motive to stop coloring. It was not easy to see the gray at first, but once my hair grew out I got beautiful white highlights. Also get a lot of complements 😊
Getting rid of the chemicals was HUGE for me! The itching, headaches, and brain fog were miserable. And getting started on the grow out process is a challenge...and I'm so glad you got through it. Best wishes! 💗
9 months into my grey hair transformation and loving every moment. I expect my shoulder length hair will take two years as well. I agree with every single point you made. In addition I can feel my new grey hair is healthier and I’m getting lots of new hairs filling in spots that were thin in the past. And I’m astounded at how many people compliment my hair even at this stage. I’m excited for the final result! It is a great lesson in patience and giving yourself grace to embrace your true self. ❤
The itching is why I stopped coloring my hair and went gray. The cool thing is the younger people are paying tons of money to get what I have naturally. Loved all your reasons especially 14.
I just turned 80, and I let my hair go gray 20 years ago. I was relieved and happy from Day 1, and I still love it for most of the same reasons you love yours, Renee. And I enjoyed watching your journey! But my hair is not curly at all. It's straight as a stick, but I love it, anyway.
Love your hair! I went grey after looking at photos from skydiving… I could see my roots and I thought,” who am I kidding?” I was 48 at first it was difficult and I felt like a little old lady but as my confidence increased I now wear my grey with the wisdom of a beautiful older woman. Cheers lady!
I absolutely love you curly gray hair . As soon as I found out my daughter was pregnant, I did two things taught myself how to crochet 🧶 , and I stopped dying my very dark brown long hair . I was born with naturally wavy/ curly hair but growing up no one knew how to care for it so I did keratin treatments Brazilian treatments flat ironed blew dry. I found an amazing product and learned techniques and I’m in love with my new found gray curls . However as mush as I loved my long gray hair, at least 7 inches or so was stringy so I decided to cut it short and mama Mia what curls very much like your hair texture Renee . mine is thick course , and frizzy I am 63 yrs young and look younger now with gray hair then my Dk brown hair. And boy do I get compliments . This past Christmas season I was at Christmas tree shop I wore a red fringed cowl neck poncho . And believe me uou wear red and you get stared at lol anyway a gentleman turns and says to me I looked like a woman right out of a hallmark Christmas movie lololol I just smiled and said thank you kindly 🌻🌻🌻
I always said I would never go grey. When I was 64 my mother had a stroke at the end of 2020. I moved in with her and by July I said enough. I was coloring my hair myself so it wasn't the cost. It was just the hassle and having roots. I just stopped cold turkey and I learned to embrace it. It is now a lovely shade of silver with a little dark grey mixed in. My mom calls it gun metal grey. I stopped caring what other people thought. Unfortunately I don't have a single curl, not a wave, just perfectly straight hair. I've learned to live with it.
I’ve had gray hair for about 10 years now. It is long with some curl/ body. I can wear it straight or with curl. I have broken the rules by letting it grow long with many layers. I like being myself and not being someone I’m not. Like you, I get compliments often from older/ younger folks. I love it when a younger person comes up and says you are rocking that gray hair. I prayed for pretty gray hair when I decided to go gray. I felt bad asking the good Lord for pretty gray hair because there is so much more important things to ask for. Now when I get compliments I credit Emmy Lou Harris for inspiration and God for the gift. I wish more women could find the confidence to be themselves.
Colored my hair since I was in my early 30's. Now at 71 and having transitioned 10 years ago, I love my white hair bc it's no longer falling out from the chemicals. Yes compliments everyday which I never got when I dyed it. Loved your reasons. Love your hair! Stunning! Love your attitude! Thanks for sharing.
My long hair is at its healthiest ever. Young girls will stop and ask me where I got my silver/gray hair color. They can’t believe it’s my natural hair color. 13:57
My last hair color appointment 18 months ago, cost me $250 before tip! That irked me so much as I felt exploited! I left the salon knowing that I was going to let it grow out from that moment on. You make 14 very valid points and I love your hair.
Love your hair! It looks so natural with all the color variations! There's something so empowering about "self acceptance" when we age - I have much more confidence at 56 than I ever did when I was younger.
Ive had grey hair for 3 years now . Im totally happy with the various colors grey white and light brown under neath . Number 14 is the most important for me . Im trying to go chemical free on all products as much as possible. I Make my own soap and natural hair care when i can. Your hair is beautiful and thick. Mine is wavy which is sometimes hard to style but Im learning more all the time how to deal with it 😊.
I admire you! I wish I could embrace my grey hair. You do give me something to think about, and I thank you so much. Another reason I can add to your list is: your hair is so beautiful and you have a lot of it! Your hair is not thin, it’s thick! Enjoy it cause some women, don’t have that much hair!! Thank you for your honesty and a great video:)❤️
You inspired me to transition to gray hair starting back in 2020. It took two years to fully grow out, but it was SO worth it! I had no idea the beautiful variety of gray colors that I have naturally, and I get compliments all of the time. Thank you for inspiring so many of us!
You absolutely were a role model for me deciding to allow my curly hair to go grey. I have never regretted it, and have never been tempted to colour it again. I feel like me and am happy to leave the chemicals, cost, and dry hair behind. Thank you for what you do.
Hi Renee, I’m new to your channel. Your hair is beautiful! My sister turned grey when she was 16 . Her hair is natural curly also. She has gotten compliments all of her life. She is now 67 . She’s beautiful like you! I tell her I’m jealous all growing up. Love your hair! I’m 69 with straight hair always having to do something to it.
You helped me make the decision to start the grey journey. I became a grandmother in 2020 at the age of 53 and decided it was time to start so I began looking up videos on how to do it. I do not have as much grey as you yet, but I do have the curls! It made it easier having curls, it just blended better. I went the doctor today and as I was leaving, he made the comment that he liked the grey highlights. lol
I had cancer and with chemo my hair fell out,,,regrowing with grey hair,,,my new appearance coupled with a new found commitment to my health has resulted in the freedom you speak of,,,btw ,purple shampoo works!
Hi Kathy! My mother had cancer and her hair also fell out during chemo. She always said she would dye it dark brown the minute her doctor gave her the OK. It's now been 2 years and hair has grown in 100% grey...and she's keeping it!! And I LOVE it! I tell her we are twins now 💕
#12 Embracing age ... We are all aging, and it is so important to live in the moment and embrace our life changes ... I don't want to miss anything because of fear of aging ... I'm 48 and embracing the white hair that has started coming in around my face. It actually looks really nice with my blonde hair. Also, I've stopped wearing makeup almost completely. I've realized that my skin is beautiful even with some imperfections ... Getting older is part of our journey. I'm here for it too, Renee!!! I love your channel and newsletters! Thank you for the thought-provoking video. Keep up the great work! You look absolutely stunning! 😁💗😁
Amazingly, you still look soooooo young with grey hair!! And still an incredible BEAUTY!! You are blessed with a beautiful color! It actually looks more "white" on video, and sooooo pretty. Does not look mousey!! You have beautiful hair! Very soft and feminine!
At 65 I am salt and pepper grey. I started going grey in my 50's and having never dyed my hair I knew I didn't have the patience to start! I also wanted to see what the pattern would be. Friends told me I could use mascara to cover the beginnings of my grey but I let them know that I was happy with the natural process of God's highlights for me.😊
YOU are the reason I decided to go gray! I'm about 8 months in and I am so glad I found you because no one inspired me as much as you so thank you Renee!! ❤
My going gray story is very similar to yours. I now love all the compliments I get! At first I thought I'd look older but embracing it made all the difference. It has become very trendy and I see a lot of younger women going gray. Freedom!!
I started watching you in October 2022 when I was about 2 months into my journey. Now I'm almost completely gray and am looking forward to the full transition. Thank you for stating the positive sides of this journey. It really has been a life- changing experience. ❤
I made the decision to keep my natural color since I was 25. I am now 46 and when I found your videos a few years back I was so glad to see you're doing this because it is going to be something I do very soon. Thank you for Paving The Way. You Are Beautiful with the multicolor gray, black, white hair.❤
I love all the gradations of grey, white, silver, dark brown in my naturally grey hair. I also get lots of complements. I also have curly hair (more wavy than curly). Thanks for all you do to promote natural grey hair.
I’ll be 50 next month and I have learned to love and embrace my curly gray hair! 100% agree with all of your reasons! It took 2 full years, but it was so worth it! It is so freeing to not fight it! Thanks for sharing your “why!”
Thank you for "revisiting the reasons" for going grey. I started to watch your transition to grey when I was thinking about it also. Watching your journey helped me with my journey. I am three years total grey and I love it also. Sometimes it's good to remember the "why" you started to do this, we appreciate you and from one curly grey girl to another I say THANK YOU sister. Keep the great content coming, I look forward to watching you and your family and fur babies all the time. Love ya gal!
THANK YOU for mentioning the chemical dangers of hair coloring. As bad as it is for individual women I feel badly for the stylists who have to work with those chemicals every day!
I cut my hair short summer of 2019 and haven’t colored it since. I’ve been white/grey since I was 50. 😊 I love that I never have to worry about my roots again!!
I agree with 13/14… my curls went weird when they went grey, so I straighten it and I love it. However, your channel provided me so much support and it has been 4 years since I stopped coloring and my hair is the most beautiful and healthy as it has ever been!
I am only a few months in, I am looking forward to getting all the good stuff, and accepting this change. All your reasons are spot on for me! My hair is fairly long and I don’t plan on cutting it, so this will be a very long process.
Hi there. Same age as you and I decided to stop highlighting then stop low lighting in 2016. Have been completely without dye for years now and just love it. It’s so freeing to not be tied to the salon anymore.
Very fortunate my hairdresser practically refuses to color my hair. I'm a natural redhead, and she says there's no way it would really look good. Renee, you are an encouragement to go with you natural hair color. When telling your story of how coloring your hair would make you feel, that's enough to never make me want to do it!
Embracing your age and self acceptance is liberating. Recognising the multiple social pressures that entrap so many woman is so important. Commercialsm depends on people hating themselves and therefore needing products, surgery etc. May i just add that the use of negative language eg. Chicken wings..floppy arms. Is so unhelpful. I shudder when i hear women use destructive words. We are free to describe ourselves but mockery is never helpful. Thanks Renee for sharing.
I discovered your channel about a week ago and I can't get enough of it. I love your family and dogs. I also have curly and grey hair and agree with all your reasons in this video. Love from South Africa xoxo
Renee, I found your channel during the pandemic when I wasn’t able to go to the salon and I decided that it was right for me to go Grey. I love it and love watching your videos. Thanks and keep up the great work.
I made that journey too and loved every minute of it. Every stage ....I belonged to a Silver Sister Support group and we all cheered each other on. It was lots of fun. And also one of the best decisions of my life. I have wavy hair...with salt and pewter strands. I love my hair too. Wish it was a thick as yours!
I just starting my gray hair journey. I’m 61 and I’m paying $150 plus 20% tip every 8 weeks. I am retired am it’s time to stop worrying about my hair!!! ❤
Your hair looks gorgeous, Renee and the biggest is you embrace it. I was not ready to make the transition and none were the reasons you listed even though I was basically colouring short of 3 weeks and my scalp was itchy & full of little bumps & blisters. Just before leaving for my 2 month Camino, I planned to dye my hair just 1-2 days before leaving so my hair was nearly white. In the end I run out of time and did not. It was the best decision I had made and have kept it white and at the age of 72 my hair & scalp are healthy and I thank you for the encouragement. I wear mine short because of my long walks & hikes. I am told that it suits me and now that I am tanned it is more striking. You rock, Renee and are a great influencer🤗🤩🤗
Yes, your hair is BEAUTIFUL. 👍 I will be 64 this year. I stopped coloring my hair about 3 years ago. I wish however that my hair was more gray than what it is! I have naturally curly hair too. Unfortunately after all these years of fighting the grays and curls, my hair has been thinning. 😕
I started going gray at 39 - that was 30 years ago. I’ve never colored my hair - was fully gray in my 40s - and as a result, people tell me I haven’t changed at all - that I still look like I did 20 years ago! 😂❤️ And P.S. like you, it’s a head full of curls!!
I had been thinking of letting my silvers shine but was hesitant. Then my Dad passed away. He had amazing hair his whole life. Dark in his youth and as he aged he never covered it. I guess most men don't but i look back over pics and it is wonderful to see his hair change. Bits of silver at first then areas filling in. His hair was so beautiful. Bright. I remember thinking how he had never seen my true hair color that was so similar in color and pattern to his 😢. All he saw was my real color as a child and then the color it took on as a teen spraying on sun in or making it this or that color. Then as an adult covering it to a flat dark brown almost charcoal "dust" appearance or sometimes a reddish brown as it would wear off. No depth really. It just hit me hard that he hadnt seen my hair but i had such similar hair to his. Texture, thickness, color. It should look similar to his but it looked very opposite. And why? After he passed away I covered them a couple more times but then finally ditched it. I feel so free now. My silvers shine and I can't wait until it is fully grown out. I have curly hair as well and I'm only 49 so I also spent so much of my life fighting my hair because curls were a big no. I stopped straightening it many years ago and wish i would've stopped the color then or never even started. I think aging is so often looked at as life being over but for me it has been when I've learned the most about myself beyond appearance. I turn 50 this year and this is the birthday I look forward to the most. It will be the first one I mark that I truly experience with no negative feelings about my appearance and it is not at all what "society" would consider ideal. I love your channel and that you encourage others to embrace the beauty within and let it simply flow outward. That is a beauty no cream or procedure will ever provide ❤
I began following you 3 years ago when I started my gray journey. It started during Covid. I desperately needed a haircut but everything was closed. My husband cut it for me and then I colored it. Within a week my roots were showing. I was done. It was time for natural hair and I don’t regret it . Wished I’d never colored my hair ever, it would have been nice to see how it turned naturally instead of being shocked that it was pretty much all gray. Thanks for all the encouragement and advice over the past 3 years.
I love your grey hair! Mine is broken grey and dull. Hate it. Has been this way for five years. I'm about 50/50 in color. My mother was totally white. Enough venting! Have a great week!
I started coloring my hair in my 20's when my hair started going gray. I am now 62. About 5 years ago I decided to go natural but didn't want the process to take years so I had about 7 inches cut off my hair and never looked back. It took one year to grow all the color out - best decision I ever made! I get tons of compliments on my hair color and really, it makes me wish I had gone natural YEARS ago!
Thank you for this great video! I resonated with every reason. As of June, I will be 3 years with no chemicals. It took me about 1.5 years to grow out my grey! My hair is soo healthy now and I feel so free. I really love my hair and all of the color variations and the compliments just keep comin!!
I agree 💯 with all of your reasons. I decided to go grey during the pandemic when I couldn’t go to the salon and not many people would see my skunk period. It actually went faster and easier than I thought it would. The dark dye on my grey hair just no longer matched my skin tone. And I had developed sores on my scalp and my hair was getting so damaged from the dye. Now my scalp and hair are healthy again!
I was so excited when I found your channel a few years ago. I stopped coloring my hair about the same time you did. All your reasons here are spot on why I love being my natural gray !! Thank you for always being real!! ❤
Thank you! I needed this video.....I decided about 6 weeks ago I was never dying my hair again! It was, and still is a scary concept. But.....I am ready! I too was dying my hair every 3 weeks!! It's a horrible thing to be held hostage by the roots of your hair!! I would do the roots and 3weeks later I would do an all over color. It was a vicious cycle!!
#12 I stopped coloring my hair at 53 I'm now 65 and I have never looked back! I just wanted to embrace my natural self. Mind, hair & body. I have never felt so much freedom as a woman🩶great video as always!
Another benefit, no color stain on skin on face after color. I also have to agree with I hated the root outvgrowth, the skunk look. Also the health benefits from not putting chemicals on head, money, and time savings. Another thing you mentioned before how the color hair did not look natural with skin tone. I too get compliments on my natural color often. How beautiful and shiny it is! Thanks Renee for your support on this topic. I have not regretted this decision.
Yes! Mine took nearly three years because I wear it longer. I, too, had purple hair briefly. I looked like a Disney fairy! I had pure white hair as a child so mine is various silver and ash blonde shades and a bit of unexpected brown. I do better with silver shampoo for brightening. Thanks for being so loud and proud about all aspects of your hair journey and what I suspect are very common for 50 year olds taking the leap. I am going in for lots of long layers soon to give me more movement. I can’t wait. 💜💜💜
Renee, I’m proud of you too! It takes a lot of nerve to go completely gray at your age. I’m total gray now after watching your transition. My last color was Feb. 1,2022. I have short hair so it didn’t take long to grow out! It is freeing and I get compliments too since mine has a lot of white on the sides and front. Yes the shampoo for gray hair is a must have, it truly keeps it sparkling! Thanks so much, I feel fortunate to have found you when I did. I believe it was around the time you adopted Pollux. Always enjoy your videos with Pollux and Maxie!!!❤❤❤
You inspired me to go grey & I have inspired one of my co-workers to do it. I love my grey, too. I still have to get perms because my hair has no body. I'm so jealous of your curls! ❤
I found your channel just when you were starting to transition to gray hair. So I did it with you!! It was the best decision for me for the same reasons you mentioned. Thank you for all of the encouragement and information you gave me (and others) along the way. Hugs to the pups. ❤️
Hi Renee! I had breakage at my temples from coloring my hair. That was my aha moment that told me it was time to stop. I also get so many compliments about my hair color...no one ever said wow your brunette hair is so pretty.
I went gray at 45! I saw another women my age with gray hair and I loved it!! She didn't look old at all!! I always got compliments when I had gray hair but not any other color! I have NO regrets! I'm now 72 and I still get compliments on my hair! Thank you for your wonderful videos. I love the videos and I'm sharing them with our Daughters, DIL and Granddaughter.
Great reasons. The gray looks beautiful on you. I am 58. I started truning gray at 25 and have never colored my hair. I have been asked many times over the years why I don't color my hair. I never colored my hair because my mom did, and I saw how much up keep there was, and I am lazy, plus I am cheap. But, most of all, I love my gray hair, and it was different from everyone else. All my children 26, 29, 35, and 37 have gray hair, only the oldest color her hair. I also receive compliments on my hair, and in years past, I have had people ask if it is natural or where did I have it done. I was told people pay good money to color their hair to look like yours and mine. I also use the same shampoo and conditioner.
I’ve been dye free for 3 years now and you really inspired me to go for it. I would spend $250 every 4 weeks at the salon. I’ve saved over $9,000 in total. I’m never going back. I love my grey hair 🥰
Hi Renee! I too have shoulder length curly gray hair and LOVE it. My natural color as an adult was a mousy light brown, but now with silver streaking the rest it looks blonde! Hardly a day goes by that someone doesn't compliment me on my hair. No one ever complimented me on the mousy light brown, and my color now flatters my skin tone like never before! I hardly need make-up! Like you, I would recommend that anyone who's tempted to go natural--DO IT!
I am 42 and a year and a half into my transition. I was the same I would dye my hair and my roots would grown in so fast . I seen your video and decided I'm going grey/white. It is amazing to see the pattern grow out . I love it and that's all that matters.
I went grey starting in July 2019 and it only took 10 months and a shorter cut. I’ve never looked back. I love the freedom of not having to color my hair. I am 55 now. I found you back then and have loved your channel & all your topics. Thank you for all you do!
I decided to grow out my grey after seeing your videos. I came across them a year after you started your journey. I watched every single video that you had posted about your grow out. THANK YOU! Your list was exactly the list I would give if I was asked about why I like to being grey. Like you, I get TONS of compliments on my grey and never got a single one when I was coloring it. I would never go back!!
I had early gray, I colored it from age 35 to 55, and then I decided that was enough, I was done. Like you, I didn't know exactly what it would look like, but decided I wanted to see what it would be. I love the color! It's almost all white, very little dark gray except at the nape of my neck. Many strands are translucent and therefore sparkle , and I was thrilled with the color. My hair feels silkier without the chemicals, and my reasons are all the same as yours, including the frequent complements compared to none before, but minus the migraines and itching. Dark color dye has the worse chemicals, and I was having to go darker and darker due to color resistance, the darker color did not look right with my skin, nor was it my natural color anymore, and I was concerned about the chemicals. So I was done, no looking back, no regrets, and I love it. Now, my growing out story was a nightmare. After about 2 inches of growth (the skunk stripe) I became impatient and decided to try color remover at home. I thought the worst it would do was only fade the color, but no, instead it turned my hair the color of a manilla envelope! I went to the salon and asked her to cut off the orange, and she said she couldn't get all the orange off, because it would be too short. So I had white on top with orange ends, and it was VERY short. So that was a tough time until the rest of the orange could be trimmed off, and then more time to get some length. So now I tell people to plan ahead to make it easier, switch to semi-permanent color for a while before you stop coloring, and I think you'll have an easier transition.
Hi Renee, going to the hairdresser's should make you feel good about yourself, not feel poorly with a headache 😢 Your grey hair now looks amazing and I just love those curl's. And it's true every colour you wear suits you perfectly. Regards to the family and Moo and Pollux🇬🇧🌞💛
So very glad I found your channel on TH-cam, I made the switch to gray too, and I so understand 😉👍🏻, I have wavy hair and I adoooore your curls, with pre-menopause it comes more curly 😊 . Keep up the great videos thanks for all the time you put in.
I started growing out my gray hair two years ago when I was 43. I’m 45 now and am 25 months in. I did not want to go short so I still have a few inches of brown left that I will be cutting off soon and then I will officially be fully, naturally gray. I absolutely love my gray hair and the only regret I have is that I did not do this in my thirty’s when I wanted to but wasn’t confident enough to let it happen. I get compliments everywhere I go and am always stopped and asked about it. I had compliments with my brownish red died hair but nothing like I do now. My husband loves it and he can’t wait to be a silver fox to match me lol.
Reason #14 is my favorite....what's yours? Share in the comments because I'd love to hear from you 🖤
Your hair is FABULOUS!
I think your grey hair is fantastic! You rock it Renee! 👍😊👏 Thank you for sharing this video with us. 👍🇨🇦😊
Oh wow you’re young. I last colored my hair in 2018 when I was 68. I’m now 72 and fully grey and I love it.
I’m 9 months in, too!
I love my WISDOM HIGHLIGHTS!
The itching is why I stopped coloring my hair and went gray. The cool thing is the younger people are paying tons of money to get what I have naturally. Loved all your reasons especially 14.
Ooooo the itching! It's terrible isn't it!
I love your grey hair! I’ve been think about going grey.
I say do it!! I am completely grey too and love it!
That's why you get many compliments, because it is unique as you explained why.
My long hair is at its healthiest ever. Young girls will stop and ask me where I got my silver/gray hair color. They can’t believe it’s my natural hair color. 13:57
Love mine too. Can't believe people ask you why you have gray hair ,same reason they have their color. Right!
My last hair color appointment 18 months ago, cost me $250 before tip! That irked me so much as I felt exploited! I left the salon knowing that I was going to let it grow out from that moment on. You make 14 very valid points and I love your hair.
I let my hair go when I turned 60. I would never want to go back to coloring my hair again.
Love your hair! It looks so natural with all the color variations! There's something so empowering about "self acceptance" when we age - I have much more confidence at 56 than I ever did when I was younger.
Me too Missy! I love that about aging!
I'm so glad! Thank you for telling me that! Made my day 😊
Hi Renee, I’m new to your channel.
Kudos to you beautiful grey goddess. The grey and curls is gorgeous. Thank you.
I tell her we are twins now 💕
The best thing I ever did was let my hair go gray I love it!!
Renee, I am 68 now, so believe me the light brown/blonde wasn’t fooling anyone!!! Just thought I needed to add this!😊😮❤
No it wasn't! 😅
Friends told me I could use mascara to cover the beginnings of my grey but I let them know that I was happy with the natural process of God's highlights for me.😊
Yes amen
God naturally gave you and
Me
Highlights
I get compliments all of the time on my hair but your hair is silver like mine.
I have had my hair gray since the age of 36, and I am 55. I agree with every reason you listed!
Michelle from Mississippi
YOU are the reason I decided to go gray! I'm about 8 months in and I am so glad I found you because no one inspired me as much as you so thank you Renee!! ❤
That is awesome! Thank you so much for telling me ❤️
My going gray story is very similar to yours.
I was watching some of your earlier videos and your grey hair is so becoming on you. Never go back
I love all the gradations of grey, white, silver, dark brown in my naturally grey hair.
I stopped coloring my hair 19 months ago and I love it.I was tired of the chemicals the grey roots and coloring every 4 weeks so best decision ever😊
Love it!!
You were instrumental in my decision to go Gray. I quit coloring at 62 and now I'm 66 and I love my hair. And I get a lot of compliments too!
Renee, I can only imagine the compliments you get all the time, cause your gray hair is gorgeous and you are beautiful!
Thank you so much 💗
Hands down - one of the most gorgeous hair color and style. It suites you so well!
Thank you for sharing your experience.
Hi there. Same age as you and I decided to stop highlighting then stop low lighting in 2016. Have been completely without dye for years now and just love it. It’s so freeing to not be tied to the salon anymore.
Your hair is gorgeous! The grey is beautiful but also your curls are stunning!!
You look gorgeous!
I discovered your channel about a week ago and I can't get enough of it. I love your family and dogs. I also have curly and grey hair and agree with all your reasons in this video.
Love from South Africa xoxo
Welcome!!! So glad you're here 💗
Renee, I found your channel during the pandemic when I wasn’t able to go to the salon and I decided that it was right for me to go Grey.
Love it that you went grey!!! And girl...I wish I had 10% of your energy level. You ROCK!
Yes, your hair is BEAUTIFUL. 👍
I will be 64 this year.
And P.S. like you, it’s a head full of curls!!
I LOVE HAVING MY GREY HAIR ALSO, FOR MOST OF THE SAME REASONS AS YOU...THANK YOU
I love your grey hair!
You have inspired me. When I first saw your videos, I thought, “No way!” but now I too am grey (and curly) and I LOVE it!
Love that! So happy to hear from you!
Nice to "meet" another Jan H. From Jan H. in Tennessee.
I know this is off topic, but your home is beautiful. I’ve been listening to you but can’t help noticing the beautifully decorated rooms. ❤
Thank you so much! I just recently re-decorated my dining room and renovated the living room! I'm so happy with how everything turned out 💕
Renee, I’m proud of you too!
Love you Cindy!!! 💕
It looks amazing, if my hair looked that good, I would go grey. You look so good in black. ❤❤❤
You inspired me to go grey & I have inspired one of my co-workers to do it. I love my grey, too. I still have to get perms because my hair has no body. I'm so jealous of your curls! ❤
Your videos always make me feel good about myself! Thank you for always being amazing you!!
You are so welcome! So glad you enjoy my videos...thank you for letting me know 😊
I found your channel just when you were starting to transition to gray hair. So I did it with you!! It was the best decision for me for the same reasons you mentioned. Thank you for all of the encouragement and information you gave me (and others) along the way. Hugs to the pups. ❤️
Yay! Thank you!
Hi Renee! I had breakage at my temples from coloring my hair. That was my aha moment that told me it was time to stop.
I also get so many compliments about my hair color...no one ever said wow your brunette hair is so pretty.
It too me about 2 1/2 years to fully grow out my hair hair color, I kept getting it trimmed until only my natural gray hair was left.
Your hair is beautiful! I love my grey hair; don't see a need to justify why I don't dye it!
I’m 50 and colored for 6 years although I was HIGHLY allergic. I quit 3 years ago and I’m loving my grays!!!
My husband had natural curly hair and very tight curls and when he went white his hair went totally straight. He loves it!
2 months growing out my gray! I hope my curls and color look as good as yours!!! I’m 44 BTW
You inspired me to stop coloring my hair. Thank you! I now have my natural color black with beautiful grey streaks and love it!!!!!
