I will definitely make sure to check out that card shop next time I am in Farmington. Fun pickups man! We are currently getting our snowpocalypse, so I will be doing another video soon. Great stuff man.
Those cards brought back a flood of memories. Really enjoyed seeing those classics as I don’t have many of those cards in my current collection. Great video Billy.
Hi Bill! Sorry about your loss, buddy. I hate hearing about this. It sounds like he was a great guy. On a positive note, I really enjoyed your pickups. The mother’s cookies Junior is nice. I have the set but it’s ungraded. Thanks for sharing and have a good weekend, my friend!
Some great pick-ups Bill! you picked up some sweet rookies like Beltre, Helton, and Posey just to name a few. Big fan of the Topps 2002 set, don't own many but I would like to. I love your edit verbiage by the way, has me chuckling the entire time!
🤣🤣 Thanks, Steve. I enjoyed it! I figured I would give myself a hard time! It seems like I was off on everything I said! Some awesome cards in these sets that are huge holes in my collection! Thanks for watching and commenting!
Fantastic pick ups my friend! You loaded up. Lots of sorting now lol. I was so saddened to hear about Mauricio, we talked briefly, but he was a very kind person.
@EverydayCardCollector-Jason Yes, he was a great dude! It won't be the same going to shows. I have most of it done and put away. My cardroom is mostly clean for the first time in months! I do need to pick up another 4 or 5 row box. I've outgrown all my boxes for HOFers. I need to go through and dig out all my Parkers, Allens, Mauers, and Beltres and move them into Hall of Fame boxes. Always a project to do!
Allen Craig RC! He is a binder guy for me. Loved seeing that RC of his. He had a couple amazing years and then he just fell completely off. Love the Mothers and Cookies Ken Griffey Jr! Always enjoy Billy and all Awesome cards. Heltons RC, Etc...
@vintagecardssteve8582 Many thanks, Steve! Yeah, Craig was really good for a few years. He hurt his ankle and signed a big contract with the Red Sox, then never really did much. I was really happy to grab all these cards! Love the Mother's Cookies Griffey cards! Thanks for watching!
Sorry to hear about Mauricio, I met him at the one Westport show. Nice Federov and Junior cards. ALBERT, of course, nice cards for the collection. I like the 2000 Aaron, really sharp card. Holliday and Berkman look like kids, great players for the Cards. Junior cards are a plenty, nice cards to add to the collection.
@doug_sports_collector Much appreciated Doug he was an awesome dude, and card shows won't be the same without him! I'm super happy to have all these! Thanks! Holliday and Berkman do look super young! There are lots of members of the Cardinals Hall of Fame in these sets with Chris Carpenter, too! Thanks as always!
@RipFan8 Appreciate it, Stephen! It was definitely unexpected for sure. I appreciate the support. There are lots of cards in these sets that I didn't have. Thanks again, my friend!
First off, I’m sorry to hear of your loss. Next, you are off to a great start for 2025! And yes! I hear you on spending money on supplies! I hate it too! I really like the sets. As you know, I just picked up the ‘84 Topps. Some of the more “modern” sets that I’d like to get someday are 1995 Ultra, 2022 Topps Heritage, 2008 SP Legendary Cuts, and maybe 1994 Finest. Thanks for the video and thanks for sharing!!
Hey there Billy It was really sad to hear about the passing of Mauritso, it sounds like he was a really good hobby dude. On a brighter note I love 1990 Upper Deck hockey cards. I know they are smack dab in the prime of the junk wax era but I think they are way undervalued for being the first Upper Deck hockey issued cards and the birth of the Young Guns series. I have bought boxes of these recently for around $20 to rip with my nephew who is into Pokemon just trying to get him into sports cards. Its crazy but if I remember correctly these boxes were way more than $20 when they first came out. Switching it up my love for 84,85,&87 Donruss cards are unparalleled from any other sets from the 80's for me. In 84 with the introduction of the iconic Rated Rookie just awesome, such a great set those cards felt unattainable back in my childhood working off of paper route money. Now 85 Donruss wow, stay with me here its going to get a little weird, that is in my opinion the sexiest card ever produced. I don't condone any red light district shananganings but that black border with the red stripes just condones to me sexy and the first block lettering on the Rated Rookie great move Donruss. 86 Donruss missed the boat for me a blue border with black pinstripes didn't do it for me its just a lame design in my opinion. 87 Donruss was back on their game the black borders with the baseballs inside the borders so cool. Black borderer cards have always been brutal as far as grading is concerned, but to me they just look sleek and classy. I know Topps has always been king but for me Donruss and Fleer smoked Topps on design in the mid 80's. I have a couple of nice 85 Donruss sets I will reach out to ya if you are interested. Take care man till next time!
@Tim.K.1976 Hey Tim! Thanks for the kind words about Mauricio. It's much appreciated, my friend. I absolutely agree with you on the 90 Upper Deck hockey set. It's the one that started it all for Upper Decknhockey. They are way too cheap! They really should be considered the 52 Topps of junkwax hockey cards! And there are so many awesome rookoe cards in that set! I love them. I also agree with you about 80s Donruss sets. I even think the 86 set is cool, and the Canseco was a huge card back in the day. There was a time my brother and I preferred Donruss and Fleer over Topps. It was a short period of time, but still! I realized I do have an 85 Donruss set, but I'm always looking for cards to grade. I don't think any came out of the set I have that are worth grading. I'd really like to find a Puckett, Clemens, Ozzie, Nolan, and maybe Mattingly worth grading. Not necessarily 10s because those borders are brutal, but we'll centered clean copies that might be 9s is kind of what I'm looking for. Thanks as always for the support! I loved your comment! Thanks again, my friend!
@timothywood2925 Sorry Tim, I'm not sure. They were hand me downs! They're 4-5 feet long. I haven't found any brand markers on either of rhem. I looked from time to time before I found these. New ones seem to be really expensive, and used ones are hard to come across. Sorry, I'm not much help!
Congratulations on your awesome pickups Billy!! Amazing cards to add to your collection!! Enjoy your channel!! Keep up the great content!!
@@ken-pr2df Much appreciated Ken!
Gave a video like. Love the Posey, Helton and Halladay rookies! Sounds like a fun collection to go through. Thanks for sharing your pick-ups, Billy.
@Hodges1455 Much appreciated, Brian! It's always a good time looking at baseball cards!
