This is some stunning work Gunther! Really liked the music choice, gave the video a nice feel. I spotted that you had a persistent train meteor (that's a meteor that leaves a dusty trail behind itself) streak across the the center of the milky way at 8:59.

It certainly depends of your camera and lens. Just try some settings. Up in the canadas, if you are there on new moon, there won't be much light.

Ok thanks. I am just using 18-135mm on a Canon 60D and have 60mm f2.8. I was wondering if I have light pollution if it's ok to use ND filter as I have 9 stop Hoya filter. I know this is good for day but was wondering if this could help with light pollution. Awesome video by the way :) Long effort but well worth it.
Using an ND filter for night shots would be one of the worst ideas... Just make some test shoots with different ISO and check out what's the best for you.
Hi Gabriele, you can do this with After Effects and the CC Time Blend filter!
Das Rendern hat auf meinen 8 Kernen jeweils ca. 5 Stunden gedauert. Das war aber das kleinste Problem ;-)

That's a high ISO. Was you in total darkness? I am travelling to Tenerife soon and want to get some nice star shots without trails. So the settings above is what you recommend? I am worried about light pollution. Any other tips? Cheers buddy

Hi Gunther, could you please explain how do you create the image at 8:20? I have seen few of that star photos but I never understood the technique behind. I already shoot startrails and milky way, but I would like to try to get those strange trails that become narrower moving away from the star. BTW, i'm a LRTimelapse happy user ;) Thank you in advance
Is all the movement created using crop animation in LRTimelapse?
