    Me (INTJ): Is watching MBTI videos with headphones on.
    ESFJ mother: Just begins to talk to me out of nowhere about whatever.
    Me: Stops video and takes headphones off.
    ESFJ mother: Proceeds to talk about what they want to talk about but never gets to the point talking in circles about details that don't matter, ends up talking about an entirely different subject.
    Me: Interrupts to say "So... About that thing you were going to tell me about."
    ESFJ: "Oh right!" Gets to the point but gives way too many details in the process.
    Me on the inside: "Oh my god."
    Me on the outside: Is already watching the video again, nodding as he pretends to listen.
    Happens everytime xD

    ''Judging unconventional ways despite being intrigued by them'' You NAILED that one. It's actually the calling card of an ESxJ. Like they find something either dumb or too weird but then......''Tell me more?'' You rarely see that with us ISxJs. When it's too weird, we just want to shift the topic to something we know inside and out and crow about our extensive knowledge on it. Ne things make us feel dumb and inadequate. It's like asking an INxJ out of nowhere to throw a baseball as far as they can. No thank you, what will that prove?

      @@me_lero I wish mbti types were inherited. I imagine life to be easier if at least on of our parents had the same type as ourselves.
      When someone has a perent who is the same type as themselves the parent with the same type could lead the child into becoming a healthy and succesful version of their type just like they are. Of course that would only work if the parent is a healthy and succesful version of their type. But at least they wouldn't make it worse for their child.

  • @Olivetree80

    now I'm really thinking my mom is an Esfj not Enfj. My parents are the hardest for me to type...🤔I picked up a lot of Fe-Si mannerisms from my mom, and she's very similar to her.

    • @SaraMBTI
      @SaraMBTI  6 ปีที่แล้ว +6

      As an Enfj with an Esfj mother, I can tell that we are very different in many aspects. The only thing that is similar is strong sense for caring about the people. Ok and we like to talk 😂
      Inferior Ti manifests in a different way for these two types, me lacking Si and mom lacking Ni makes us very different.
      Many other little things too, but I won't bother you any longer, dear Infp 😄 :)
      I hope you find out and I understand your struggle, I typed so many people but I am never sure about my grandmother :O

    • @Olivetree80
      @Olivetree80 6 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Sara MBTI it's no bother :D my mom is just so intuitive and wise, but also very in touch with her physical needs, and can seem annoyed with my Infj sister when she's too intense or not grounded. I'm thinking she has good tertiary Ne and inferior Ti :)

    • @morningstarhomestead
      @morningstarhomestead 6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@Olivetree80 , Davesuperpowers always talks about how people can have a really strong secondary or a really strong tertiary function. I know ESFJ's who have stronger Ne and others who have stronger Si. The Ne ones generally like to research possibilities, find one to implement, and then get really knowledgeable/talented in that subject by collecting research or implementing it physically in their lives (Si). The ENFJ likes to research theories as well, but will generally cling onto one idea to develop in a deep Ni manner. They will have trouble making the idea a physical reality in their lives (id block Si/Te), especially if it requires implementing mundane daily habits. I would also research Ni/Ne eyes.

    • @SaraMBTI
      @SaraMBTI  6 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      As an Enfj, I disagree with the part ,,having problems with implementing ideas physically in their lifes" and ,,implementing mundane daily habbits".
      Enfjs are usually very driven and they are ,,hidden doers of things". Far away from lazy. What you've said sounds like Enfjs are lazy and stuck in their own projection of reality.
      Si blind spot (Enfjs) looks like this:
      Bad memory (sometimes even remembering details incorrectly), lacking details when speaking, always looking at ,,what could I do next" (Ni, Se) and having hard time looking back, forgiving people who hurt you in the past because you blocked painful memories, strange experience of nostalgia or lacking nostalgia, experiencing stress when we have to do repetitive tasks (for example working on a fabric track or doing ,copy paste copy paste copy paste' computer work (but even then, I would, for example do one more thing while I'm doing repetitive task- I have to do ,copy paste' work? Ok, let's dance and sing while doing that). We have a hard time realising that we have a headache, that we need to sleep, that we need to stop with something (working, talking, exaggerating etc..).
      Physical work, especially cleaning the house, cooking, doing things for others and instead of others (I will speak for myself and Enfjs I know) we care about things like that a lot.
      I am cooking for my loved ones every single day because I need to see them eating healthy. I feel responsible (Fe, Ni, Se).

    • @morningstarhomestead
      @morningstarhomestead 6 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@SaraMBTI, (fellow ENFJ here) I agree 100% with all the examples you gave of low Si. I think I worded my thoughts badly above. I do not mean ENFJ's are lazy - to the contrary, they are very energetic and low Si makes it hard for them to just sit! However, I've seen ENFJ's (and ENTJ's) who have grand Ni plans, especially in the business world, but who fail to work out every day small sensory details of their dreams, especially with finances. ESFJ's (and ESTJ's) I've seen in business will grasp at one new possibility and go town on the small details without looking at the big overall trend...for instance they will go into a work from home pyramid scheme that is viable financially at the time and has made money in the past, but that is ultimately on its way out. Also, on a day to day basis, ENFJ's (unlike ESFJ's) can have trouble conforming themselves to a dull status quo with no room for their own improvements as they see them. In my own personal life, I recently had to fix some health issues so I found an intriguing diet know to help others with my issues. It was incredibly hard for me though to follow the small details established by the (ISTJ) doctor, especially since they were based on her past experience with patients and not on the big picture as I saw it. I wanted to keep implementing my own innovations based on how I saw the diet. I loved the original concept of the diet, but the small day to day details with no wiggle room felt stifling to me. Ni/Se always keeps us on the lookout for getting the most out of the moment and moving forward. Sticking to a day to day status quo set up by another can be very difficult for us ENFJ's and I don't see this as true for the ESFJ. They may grasp a new idea, but they find fulfillment in working out those small details. We find fulfillment in seeing Se results of our plan, but not necessarily in honing that plan down to small sensory details.

      Her tertiary function is extraverted intuition ( Ne ). He was using his intuition, which made her respond with hers. But since he uses NE as his dominant function he uses it more often an cosistently. While she uses hers more as a response to his.
      Her cognitive functions are dominant extraverted feeling ( Fe ), auxillary introverted sensing ( Si ), tertiary extraverted intuition ( Ne ), inferior introverted thinking ( Ti )
