The last time we went to Killarney National Park many years ago myself my wife and two young kids 4 and 5. We hired two pushbikes with seats for the kids and cycled throughout the park it was a fabulous way to see the place.

Loved seeing (again) where my Mum grew up. Taking a trip there to see my cousins in a few months (from Australia). Staying with one of my cousins who has a B&B in Castlemaine 💚

I love the way you laugh off our quirks and idiosyncrasies (like our signposts) and not start criticising. We ourselves will criticise and moan but god forbid anyone else doing it 😊

We for the most part love quirks and idiosyncrasies. :)

They had a blind man operating a wheel he would walk on a giant wheel and the wheel would power the crane or they would use an ox or horse

Love watching your mini adventures in and about Ireland! This one was superb, giving anyone that has been to Ireland, a yearning to return and to those that have never been, a must to add to their bucket list. Truly a thumbsupabump! (If I could make a request, it would be to have you visit the Ringfinnan Garden of Remembrance, in Kinsale.) Thanks again for your travels!

The Irish affectionately refer Queen Victoria as the Famine queen. The indifference of her and her government to help the Irish

It's one of the many unfortunate things we've learned about the relationship between England and Ireland.

@@chrisplusmelissa Yes Genocide is hard to forgive when you are on the receiving end.
It was drawn out over 800 years, with the highlights Cromwell killed 1/3 of the population and tried to exterminate the rest. 100 years of extreme Penal laws reduced the people to complete beggars, followed by a man made famine (vast quantities of grain and beef left Ireland under British Army guard)

It's quite insulting to the Irish to claim the English were guilty only of "failing to help" because this insinuates the Irish did it to themselves and were disappointed that their neighbour did not help. It was in effect a genocide executed by the English through the imposition of laws so oppressive and cruel that the Irish were forced to depend on just one food (potatoes) for survival. When that crop failed they were destined to starve. Thankfully it doesn't really matter what ways the truth is twisted because the facts of the history between the two countries are well recorded and preserved for posterity.

Actually yew trees don't normally grew like that. They grew in several different forms ,but usually they are bush like and don't grow so straight especially with a twisted trunk like that.

Christ Guys you should have your own Travell show. Also if you are in Clonmel in Tipperary you should go and see St Patricks well it is a small visit but bring a picnic basket with you. If you have a sore foot stick it in the well for 2 to 4 minutes it is cold even in the summer been spring also if you get ever a chance to see Carey’s CASTLE. This is a beautiful mixed woodland that lies close to the Glenary River, a tributary of the Suir. The main feature of this site is the ruins of the castle that gives the forest its name. It is just 500m from the car park down a mixed woodland trail that leads to the river. It is believed to have been built at some stage during the 1800s by the Carey family, who were local schoolmasters in the Clonmel area. A number of architectural styles are still evident in the ruined remains, including; Gothic windows, a Celtic round tower, a Norman Keep, and both Romanesque and Gothic arches. The remnants of a walled garden can be found on the southern side of the castle. An ice house is located just off the trail beyond the castle. This is a stone-lined pit that used to serve as a ‘fridge’ when the castle was inhabited. Carey’s Castle was occupied by monks and up to recent years, the ruins of the almshouse were still in evidence. A real gem of a site for local historians.

Killarney national park isn't a great place anymore. Over grazing from non native deer and sheep. This is the reality of this park. gorse fires a few years ago destroyed the natural flora and killed small wildlife of the upper mountains by sheep farmers. The park is basically declining in quality. If my comment gets removed then I know tourists don't care about the reality. Also many old trees within the national park area were cleared and destroyed to increase parking for visitors. The Kerry county council doesn't care about the upkeep and restoration of this park.

The many recent videos I've watched showing the national park and all the beautiful attractions there (including this video) paint a very different picture to the one you're trying to sell. Think I'll trust the videos. 💚💚💚
