Thanks Dr Dawn! May I know how does the case mx model for individuals who subst abuse differ from the case mx model for individuals with psychiatric issues?
It really depends on their presenting issues. Most people with addiction issues also have some co-occurring issues. Instead of focusing on the diagnosis, I encourage people to focus on the symptoms that are preventing them from living a rich and meaningful life.
