- We have another 5 star Hunt unit but this time he is definitely not free to obtain. I do have Argenti but honestly I still want Boothill for his aesthetic alone. But even regarding his kit I really like the duel mechanic and I find that teams outside the standard ATK/Crit Hypercarry (so like DOT and breaking and such or even a FUA dual DPS setup) is a lot more fun. And hving fun is what's most important, right?
having fun is the most important^^ next patch us going to be a “break” patch. they give us a plenty more options in team building so players wont get stuck in crit teams/dot teams

THIS IS EXACTLY MY THOUGHT PROCESS. Im in love with his character design and animations and that’s solely why im rolling for him

Slight misconception to Boothill's kit: His Enhanced Basic does regenerate the usual 30 Energy, similar to Blade's Enhanced Basic. The 'additional' Damage from the Bullet stacks, however, do not. Its another case of the Skill description being hella misleading like having 2 or more hits in basic attacks but the only time this is stated is in DHIL's basics while characters like Sampo with a 3 hit basic aren't mentioned.
The 'Additional' part is important since other characters like Tingyun and Welt have this specific mechanic in their Talents, but does not regain Energy this way (Welt's E2 doesn't count). This is similar to Summon based Follow Up characters like Topaz and Jing Yuan who regenerate 0 Energy from Topaz and LL. In contrast, characters with Non-Summon based Follow Ups like Kafka, Blade and Ratio do regain Energy every time they use a Follow Up.
Tl;dr Its literally ST Physical Blade Enhanced Basic with the exact same energy regen but additional instances of dmg if u got stacks.
TLDR: Boothill is going to be one of the dps in the game. He hits crazy numbers at E0 which makes him very F2P friendly considering that one of his BiS sups is free. He will probably be coming in the second phase so for you F2ps out there you should probably wait till Sam's beta gameplay is released and choose whom to go for.
I just started the game, im at like level 15, and I really wanna get boothill. but idk who else to get for him to become a good DPS. Could you share some tips and tricks for me please?

I believe he will be OP , one of the most f2p friendly units to date. Mainly because of that channel hsr guides, started watching them like 3 months ago and everything they say is like 95% accurate even wayy before the character releases. Highest single target damage in the game, able to 0 cycle moc at e0, very flexible lcs, ability to implant physical weakness, variety of teamates , still not gonna pull but gonna be a s+ tier unit I think. Of course he will have downsides like when the enemies are too tough to break kinda like yanqinq.
Just found your channel, and watched this and the robin one and gotta say, great idea by putting a common doubt related to the character on the thumbnail bro, that's what led me straight to watching your Robin right after this one, keep up the good work!
Who cares how good he is if he's hot?
In all honesty, we have to wait for official release because these videos are often a little away from how the unit is in live where people can property test them. Physical does struggle a lot compared to other elements, but so does every unit without proper investment and supports. Yeehaw can implant phys weakness which already makes him nice, you can put him against almost anyone, his toughness break on enhanced basic looks insane, HTB is free which is great already, Ruan Mei gets used in almost every team so you don't have to pull her just for him, other supports work great as well (i hope).
Will he be op? We'll have to wait until he goes live, but I think he will be a comfortable unit for people that like him, which is me, I like him.
I am skipping Acheron for him so he better be good or else! And from what I see so far he's good.

the best part of boothill is that he implants physical weakness with his duel which means he'll always hit weakness.
@@aerialdive he implants it with his ult, actually, but yes, the fact that he does that at his base kit means he can be brought against every enemy in the game, making him the best hunt unit
One of boot hills bis teams is extremely skill point positive so if you have it his sp issues aren’t gonna be a problem
Unless htb energy rotations are weird and you have to use skill once every three turns
I mean I don’t wanna be a simp but if his light cone is hot I’m gonna pull for it like I did with dr ratio
His kit looks insane to be fair. I'm still torn between him and Topaz, but I have a feeling I'll sooner get him guaranteed than win a 50-50 on Topaz
Tbh, he could just set run four piece thief since it still gives +32 break effect with the added bonus of getting 3 energy each time he breaks a weakness
I was too dumb so I just had to watch the pros and cons sections twice to get the relevant info haha

Second one if u have Pela with pearls lc she s better than SW . If u don't get Aventurine any préservation with the burn lc is perfect; if u don't have it then ghalagher is fine.

Boothill is SP Neutral (2 turns enhanced basic), his enhaced basic recharge good energy (more with extra bullets, three turns ult) but his follow up doesnt, basic enhanced does more damage than his ult.
Boothill dies very quickly.
I was very excited to pull for him because I'm a fan of the gunslinger aesthetic, I'm FTP and on my guaranteed and currently have 90 tickets but I don't think he would fit in my team very well as I'm currently using Clara as my DPS and expect that Dr.Ratio and Seele are still better Hunt characters. On the other hand, Acheron seems a little OP with her ult and instant kill ability. Which should I pull for?
is it robin first or boothill? cause i'm planning on pulling for aventurine , there's no way i'll be able to save up for him if he's right after aventurine
probably robin first. the one who got drip marketed first usually the first banner
It's likely Robin first but you could wait for 2.2 livestream before pulling, which will take place during Aventurine's banner just to be sure :)

Not only in hsr but in gacha games are like that. "Use her she op to help you through story, he op to help u with raid, he good but she is better to support u because she have..." In the end "meta" is a must for clear the game faster and make it easier and as a guide too. So if u like the char and dont care bout meta its fine, if u like too see meta its fine. Either it just single player game

Is he needs Ruan Mei to break more consistently? Cuz i wanna pull him but doesn't have ruan mei
honestly yes, he with RM and without is night and day, thankfully his second BIS support is literally harmony MC so you already have half the work done for you, but if you dont have RM and arent able to/willing to get her on her rerun then Boothill as is rn is a though sell, no one boosts him the way RM and HMC does, his kit is still undergoing changes though so it might be a good idea to hold off for a bit to see how it ends up closer to release, just the other day his eidolon 2 got a massive boost and it seems theres still more changes incoming next couple weeks

@@gym4379 right. i forgot that day is celebrated in others countries, well i did hear that new changes WERE coming and that wasnt on april 1st so maybe he will still get some decent changes to his kit, the point is without RM boothill is honestly kinda hard to use, either way that hasnt changed

In my opinion u should just pull ur fave, however meta wise:
If you don’t have a good aoe/ blast dps for moc, then jingliu will be better
If you have ruan mei, the value of boothill massively increases cause he wants to break enemies a LOT. So she is his best support with harmony trailblazer
At the end of the day pull for your fav character in lore and in gameplay, boothill seems super fun, but if u struggle with content like MOC becauseyou lack AOE coverage then jingliu is good. You could also wait for firefly (fire destruction) she will probably be a better pick than jingliu

But doesn't Boothill's enhanced basic deal toughness dmg equal to a skill? This should mean that it's 60, not 30 toughness dmg
He may be Mid Hunt, but he's definitely winning Man Hunts from the thirsty fan base

Robin might be his best inslot supp beside The new trailblazer
But the action advance skill that bronya and sparkle give are a huge deal for him

great video but isnt it impossible for boothill to only have 170 cdmg with 250% BE? he would have 175 if i did my math right, and thats assuming not a single relic has cdmg on it

So he could be the best single target dps. Outclass Acheron dr ratio dhil as long as he can break the enemy. His performance probably will vary depending on how mihoyo set up moc
Not even close, Acheron can do 1 mil damage per ult, and in most team you can do 2 ults per 1 turn (especially in the first turn lmao) and I say this in F2P Acheron lmao. There's a reason why Acheron is the current strongest DPS and it's not close.

Boothill is the only character I have seen hit almost a million dmg single target at E0 but thats probably not gonna be exactly like his release so ill have to wait and see how good he is as well as what the units in 2.3 are.
Those numbers aren’t accurate and the supports are maxed
@@Soroiono I'm not talking about this video rather other videos I've seen. I know it's not completely accurate and a lot of vids are done in MoC, but Boothill and all the supports in the video's I've seen are E0 except for Harmony TB but he's still going to be insanely good either way.

He's gonna be subpar for most endgame content except maybe certain MoC rotations... Idk. It seems like an easy skip to me. If you shrimp for him, then go for it, but thinking he's gonna be amazing is kinda copium.

Is it only me who is thinking that his Signature LC to me is not super good. Swordplay, or herta LC can compete with it easily.
The second effect of his LC: increase damage 6% after 6 hit (compare to swordplay S5 > 80% damage); The effect is bad. Why they print that one.
His signature LC is op exactly bcs of the break damage that he needs bcs he primarily scales off of it. Plus def ignore is huge too, others arent really comparable imo

I also don't have Ruan Mei, so Harmony MC is definately the way to go plus another support, I've seen Sparkle/Bronya as the second most popular, as for the 4 stars I think anyone would work. Tingyun for atk and energy buff, Asta for atk and speed, Yukong for crit buffs, Hanya for phys and skill points.

@@DarkGamerDude. then Ting is good! You can also use Pela for def shred or Luka for vulnerability and help with weakness break. Other Nihility can work, i guess, like Guinaifen for vulnerability as well, but they won't be as good as harmony. But Harmony trailblazer is a must!

Do you really care about him being "physical" cause he can break enemy without physical weakness, the only team right now in the game who don't need certain weakness is monoquantum and having that team is really good
Sam/Firefly will inflict fire weakness as well at eidolon 1

he is gonna be superhard to build, he needs soo much stats its insane and no good 4 star LC
Cruising in Stellar sea is 17% dmg difference from his signature...he has many good 4star lcs unlike some 5 star

Superhard to build? He would be one of the easiest. Just put a ton of break effect on him and speed. U really don't need the crit stats THAT much

In other words harder to build than your average DPS.
And he doesn't have a good 4 star LC that help him get those stats.

I like break DPS too, but Hoyo made it hard for themselves to make it any good, especially with this guys kit.

Sam exits the immune state pretty quickly, Aurumaton only enters if you attack with ults and skills thrice or it gets three turns, so they're fine to deal with
Having to play against enemies who try to counter your strategies is half the fun

There is no need to nerf him, he is good as he is rn. U do realize that Acheron is AOE and Boothill a HUNT SINGLE TARGET character? He needs big dmg so he can clear multiple enemies faster. He is slower with many enemies than acheron but faster than her with bosses. That's what hunt characters are, best characters against bosses
Are you serious? Is your entire concept of strength “omg big numbr wow”? Do you even understand the difference between a single target and AoE character?
You both realize acheron at e0 on a f2p team setup can still hit 500k+ single target without relying on the stars lining up to break an enemy? Acheron can ult 1-2 times in a cycle. It's non-conparable, Acheron is in a league of her own. She also is good vs. anything, and doesn't get cucked by the plethora of break immune elites and bosses...
@Vaixr the fact that you didn't say e0s0 is saying a lot. An average Acheron can't do that on a basis on a single target every goddam time, let alone without her LC
@banji7612 I said at E0.... that means at E0, regardless of her LC, you're the one assuming things. Yes even without her sig she can hit that with an S5 GNSW.

Mid to the point I have seen him 2 shot argenti and one shot yanqing and Kafka. He does the same dmg on a single target as acheron on multiple enemies.
700k break is so mid should’ve done 1 billion break
