Hey, love your genuine reactions. And you're right about the generational gap in terms of political, social and cultural ideologies. Usually, it's to be expected between generations but the emergence of social media and information access in general has widened that gap which can often lead to ideological conflicts. The youth here is being exposed to a diverse range of ideas, cultures, and thought processes and that's reducing the impact of religious dogmatism and indoctrination of the previous decades. There's still a bit of an identity crisis but I hope we will eventually figure out who we are in the next 10-20 years.

That's fascinating and as I expected, as you say it'll be interesting to see what happens in the near future

The positive side of social media and the internet, so to speak, is that it has opened many horizons and freed many boundaries in the younger minds... the young now believe more in co-existence and are more aware and are more adaptive of socio-relgio-cultural diversities in the world.

Pakistani traditional dress is more based on cultural elements. It conforms to religious norms in the sense that it's modest, not vulgar or revealing. If you ever get to visit Pakistan or be part of a Pakistani gathering, you'll get a better sense of it. Pakistanis in general are very attached to their faith and spirituality, but not in a manner that's rigid or fanatic. I know out in the west people are given a different impression. But I think you'll get a more accurate of it through Pakistani music. Do check out some of the earlier Coke Studio songs. Ali Sethi has performed quite a few times on CS over the years.

Thank you HK77 that's awesome. I don't think it's as exaggerated here in the UK where we have a strong community (at least where I live and worked) but maybe in other parts of Europe and USA I get that!
