Great video! However, the NAIA no longer has two divisions. They went to a single division in 2021.
When I coach men's hoops at an N.A.I.A. Catholic College in N.Y.State, in the 1970's, there was also just one level.Now there are no N.A.I.A. schools in the North East. Most are now D-2,lesser number D-3 and some are out of business.Our schools were a lot easier to get into.For Sure.On the competition level N.A.I.A. is closer to D-2. Our national hoops tournament was held in Kansas City, each of the 32 regions sending their winner. First day of the tourney, games from 8 am till 11 pm all in the old Kemper Arena. Fun Times.
In 1977 first season I coached as an assistant at St.Thomas Aquinas College in NY.there was only one division. N.A..I.A. back then had 32 districts/regions so 32 teams qualified for the National Tournament. The tourney was held at Kemper Arena in K.C. First day of opening round games, it was hoops all day long. Early AM till late at night. A ton of fun. One school that made it one year was Paul Quin College of Mortuary Science,they had like 250 students way back Some of the schools are now D-1. Monmouth in New Jersey. The district we were in,#32, 8 schools that were regulars on our schedule,no longer exist, are all closed. Nyack College, Kings College, Cathedral College, Dowling College, North East Bible College, in New Jerey.Concordia College (New York), Upsala in NJ, Barrington College in R.I. all are gone. L.I.U. South Hampton. Philly Pharmacy.
There are also 2 other levels. The N.C.C.A.A. and the N.S.C.A.A.First one is National Christian College Athletic Association ,the other National Small College Athletic Association.
I think you mean NCCAA and _USCAA._ There's also CCCAA, NWAC and AACA.

That's actually false! NAIA actually had NIL before the NCAA. A full year in fact, starting last season in 2020-21
