My smoky 42 colour palette arrived today - looking forward to having a play with it! I also have the bright palette and wouldn't have thought of mixing them but you've inspired me! I always buy the 42 colour palettes - they're such a bargain for the amount of colours and the quality of the shadows themselves.
I am looking forward to seeing you explore both of these palettes further. I don’t do well with an all grey colour story but I do like Smokey more than the Xenon palette. It looks like a great companion palette. It doesn’t pull too blue.
Smokey is pretty, but I probably will not get much use. What caught my eye is the brights palette, its in my cart. I really like brights and smokey combination look!
After my last try to order from Beauty Bay in 2022 during their warehouse chaos, when my order was eventually cancelled, I guess this is my sign to try ordering from then again. 😅 Beautiful looks and such a great way to corporate the Bright 2.0 palette!

I love the Smokey palette. Those are my colors!!! I unfortunately have problems with grays and silvers turning blue on my lids. Not sure what I can do to fix this problem.
Sounds like you might have a really warm undertone, which makes the cooler tones stand out more? Have you tried using a white eyeshadow base? Then your skin tone doesn’t peek through and change the color of the eyeshadow
@@cherob2182 it definitely helps keep the true color! It makes sense you have warm undertones! I have really cool undertones so whenever I wear anything with even a little warmth to it, it ends up bringing the warmth out of it even more, like if I wear a pink blush that has even a little warmth to it, it ends up looking peachy on me - how peachy depends on how warm it is - drives me nuts! 🤣 Bronzer is even worse since they’re meant to be warmer so most of them end up looking orange on me! I found ones that have more of a rosy tone to them are better for my cool skin. So I figured since my cool skin brings out warmer tones, with someone who has warmer skin, it would bring out the cooler tones even more! So yeah, I’d definitely recommend a white base!

I would wait for a sale, but I’m not buying it because I have the Xenon already. ShopMissA has some brush sanitizing spray that I use in between deep cleaning my brushes.
Liked the third look, but my favoritism was the first look♥ Beauty Bay; their own line of shadow palettes, are a hit and/or miss. I have 1 palette that I bought a few years ago, and it's pretty bad. One of their last palettes; the metamorphic palette, I like that one a lot.

Gourgous I've always been out of my comfort zone trying smoky colors like that but I'm obsessed with that bright pallet
This is a good one that you can easily pair with just about anything.
