- From Desenzano, Nadia and I took the 3 Euro Ferry to the very Romantic Town of Sirmione on Garda Lake in Northern Italy, From there we saw the "Castello Scaligero". We then trekked to the Jamaica Beach where I had a entertaining dip to cool off. I get where the name comes from, as it did feel like a little island in the Caribbean. I Would reccomend going on week days as weekends are full of Tourists, which is no bueno.

I can see now why Italy is a magnet to attract tourists: it is a beautiful country with lots of attractions for anyone to enjoy, thanks!

Italian is such a beautiful language. Hearing even snippets spoken is like music to the ears.
Totally depends on where you are exactly. Northern Italian is quite nice to hear, but the more southern you are the more annoying it gets.
but if you want to spend nice days with warm people you have to come to the south. in the north they are boring and drunkards.

14:15: The olive trees you see are probably indeed about a century old. Olive trees can get really old. In a little town some 40 km from my place there is one dated back to nearly 1000 years.

I was surprised to see so many tourists in this video. Then I saw this was posted in October 2019. The outbreak was only in Wuhan at that time. Beautiful city. I will check it out next time I'm in Italy.

Where I live in Red Bluff in northern California we have a lot of olive trees. I think it's the only place in the US where they grow. You didn't seem to enjoy being around the turistas so much. In Mexico, for the most part you were having a good time.

Haha! I have some funny memories of Desenzano del Garda. We got a ferry from sermione and were supposed to land at pescheira del Garda but we took the wrong ferry and landed here! There was some parade on and the streets were closed until midnight so we couldn’t find a taxi until about 1am to go back home to a place near Pescheira. It was called Bella Italia and is a great campsite for anyone interested.
