Dr. Berg has helped me tremendously. The problem I have encountered is that so many doctors do not address the environmental issues and any root cause nutritional deficiencies. They just gave me medications that caused problems elsewhere. I have a Primary Immune Deficiency and multiple autoimmune diseases and Dr. Berg has helped me more than any of my doctors. I hate to have to say that...but he did. I regained quality of life with his advice. I still have my genetic issues but again my quality of life is greatly increased following his advice and I have never purchased anything from him (although I would.) I also follow doctors that I trust but I trust Dr. Berg as well.

@@rheumatologistoncallsorry… holistic health is taking over. Doctors aren’t even trained in nutrition.. the things we literally eat everyday , there’s no comprehensive solutions .. just an emphasis on “medicine pushing” , sterile environments , mostly a lack of warmth or bedside manner, long waits, exorbitant, LIFE RUINING costs if you don’t have insurance … eating healthy for your individual body is the #1 way to stop most illnesses. .. doctors “may” say it in a whisper but they are mostly trying to give you medications which just stop the symptom and often complicate things with even more side effects. As a doctor I’d rather see you opt IN to holistic medicine and use pills as a secondary tool

@@rheumatologistoncall that trope of "holistic piece, not the parts department" is antiquated, based upon 19th and early 20th century understanding. I'm sure we'll both agree, modern medicine considers the body not individual systems, but a system of systems, each interacting to create the whole of the organism.
So, one cannot address an immune issue without considering digestive/nutrition issues, one cannot address neurological issues and ignore cardiac issue, etc.
The only downside is, one ends up with a veritable army of specialists, each addressing the system that they specialize in and then have to coordinate with the primary and other specialists.
And my poor primary is a resident, having to coordinate with all of the specialists. Good training! Good training yields greater experience, which can only benefit her patients when she has completed her residency.
And I'm definitely an experience. BP went a bit wonky, doctor was a touch aggressive with the antihypertensives, my BP then was well, random, spiking, then dropping to shock levels, I began titrating the dosages, doctor agreed and had ordered blood tests. Yeah, wasn't going to stabilize any blood pressure when hyponatremic and hypochloremia, with a side order of hypomagnesemia.
All, due to Crohn's. And other inflammatory issues tending to be associated with the condition, that whole system of systems, where one system can throw other systems out of balance in wildly disparate ways.
Google Scholar is a godsend in many ways, along with pubpeer and other peer review sites, just to keep us all honest. And I have written peer reviewed papers in my day, most remaining under a rather stringent NDA. Dumped into the deep end on writing peer reviewed papers, it was just my kind of learning experience - steep learning curve, intensive technical that also had to be leavened with lay comprehension, great training!

I like Dr Berg. I listen and decide what's best for me. It is a "system" and I think there is truth to what he said. It's the matrix. Plain and simple. Matrix doctors treat the symptoms, not the root cause. Here's a pill...instead of, let's see what's really going on with blood tests, allergy tests, vitamin deficiency tests, etc. I prefer integrative medicine.

You seem like an honest and informed doctor but the way doctors in general behaved during the pandemic was disappointing and dangerous. Their general lack of knowledge regarding the experimental gene therapy that was encouraged by most of them (very, very few actually read the clinical study results) destroyed my faith in the medical profession. Nutritionists are only covered by Medicare /Medicaid if you have diabetes, plus they are only trained in medical based nutrition. Most do not know about vegetarian/vegan diets .
I do my own research by listening to many different viewpoints and have found functional medical Drs but they are few and still do not have time to teach a patient how to criticality evaluate the information they give and what we research.
It is our responsibility to care for ourselves but Drs often are too busy and/or are not interested in learning or listening to the patient.
No doctors consult with the other doctors that you see .
So, the whole medical industry needs to change especially to allow Naturopaths and massage therapists to be covered by Medicare/Medicaid and other insurances

Simple question? How many people do you know who have been cured of any chronic disease with medicine? Not many, so the doctor has a good point, the problem is that none of what she said is talking about a cure, to help the patient, to make the patient feel better (yes), but never to cure! We have a sick system, not a healthcare system! Why not instead of removing the Gallbladder, figure out what is causing the Illness and fix it? IMHO is what is missing on these days, nobody wants to repair, everybody just wants to remove parts! Hopefully, RFK can change some of that!

@Twent25 considering what has happened up until now, your local mailman could probably do as well. RFK, Jr., is one of the few who have expressed the fact that Big Food Companies have created fake food with harmful chemicals and marketed them as healthy. They have withheld information about those chemicals from the consumers. Europe bans many of the chemicals that are allowed by the FDA to exist in American food. I don't think anyone could do a worse job than those who have been in power for the past four years. Base opinion on facts not Media because the Media has been bought and sold to lie according to the highest bidder (such as Big Pharma). All kinds of "deals" have involved lying to the public----between Food Companies and Medical Groups, such as AHA where "fat" "cholesterol" were blamed for what "sugar" does to the body. The Food Pyramid is upside down and unhealthy. "health facts" were not facts but "deals" made between medical associations, Big Pharma, and Big Food Companies. The public was just a customer who was not informed of anything. And most medical doctors are not taught nutrition. They depend on "dietitians" who depend on an association that controls their license.

Doctors AND Vets! Also, if you are suspicious of a cyst looking thing on your body DEMAND and REQUIRE your dermatologist to biopsy and test it. Just telling you this from experience of someone's unfortunate experience. Don't let them just prescribe a cream and send you on your way.
Also, the personality types that likely pursue and pass schooling and training are majority sensor types that take things at verbatim. They are more concrete and read things like robots. Very few good doctors are the intuitive types that can think outside the box and have intuitive hunches to look at the less obvious. These types are less likely to pass schooling because the way training is structured and less likely to do what big pharma and corporate greed orders of compliance. These make up a small number of doctors in the field.
It's very obvious how skewed research is when it lacks variables that can't be controlled such as environmental influences and unaccounted influences when the person isn't living the same exact life as each other.
I'm sorry lady... but are you taking a statin? Do you have firsthand experience of what it can do. Within a few days of my SO taking a statin he was in bed with chills and a fever unable to work. He's the breadwinner of our family. People should know how dangerous this stuff is.
How about our society just stops putting all these ingredients that are chemically created on food. Why do foods from others countries list fewer than 5 ingredients and ingredients found in our kitchen but our foods have 5 different kinds of sugars and chemicals? It's so easy for doctors and the medical system to gaslight and blame the individual.
You still aren't answering the question why so much of our food in grocery stores have so much salt and why it's the consumers problem rather than the corrupt system doctors ignore. It just points to again, the medical field and larger greedy industries can gaslight individuals into believing the individual is the problem... not the gun pointed in their direction.

Doctors are not educated, I have developed a simple idea, never accept any medicine from any doctor unless the doctor tells you root cause, ask it!, if doctor stumbles or doesn't give answer right away, ask them to keep their prescription and walk away, you may tune to Dr.Berg videos though.

Dr. Berg has been right on so many levels. I think there is a place for conventional medicine but so many physicians immediately want to prescribed a pill for everthing. My husband has psoriatic arthritis immediately his Dr. wanted to start biologics without even discussing alternatives like diet and so on. Once I brought that up she said she wasn't going down that rabbit hole. Seriously??? You have to do your own dodiligence and advocate for your own health. I'm not saying there not a place for both but I trust Dr. Berg way more than I do most Physcians with a list of medical degrees. Most physicians I find don't even listen to you they just give you a prescription to shut you up. Sad but true and I'm sure if truth be told most people will agree with me. I am 62 years old and on 0 meds. I eat healthy and excercise and I research what's best for me and my husbands health. Also, I look at the people who are prescribing the medication most are not even the healthiest either. It's just the truth that most of us think the health care system has let us down.

people who get sick are not fasting.
After the age of 45 years old, we should reduce our frequency of meals to two per day.
After the age of 50 or 55 we should reduce the frequency of meals per day to one.
This is for most days during a single month.
There are many variables to consider.
Climate (whether you live close to the equator or close to the polls is the largest factor to consider.
People living close to the equator can afford to consume less oil and more fruit.
People who are living during the polls and are experiencing very cold days and long winters must consume more cooked animal products and make a concerted effort to expose their retina and their skin to direct sunlight.
If you fast, you exhibit, a level of control over your will that will convert to better health. Most people are unwilling to do this because their focus is almost completely on sustaining their wants and desires.
Your will has to be stronger than that if you intend to be healthy into your later years.
I have experienced countless examples of what I have mentioned here.
Most doctors will quite happily prescribe a person medication for every problem instead of curing the problems.
    Healthcare is not health cure.
They don’t call it cure for a reason.
    There’s more money in care.
If you continue to nurse a sickness without curing it, you can bill your patient for a lot more money.
I’m referring, of course to the healthcare industry as we know it today and they’re very dangerous practices of denying the awareness of nourishment which results in very poor health for most people who have exposed their bodies to that for 3,4 or five decades.
People have been dying of chronic health conditions quite reliably for the last number of decades.
I’m talking about people who have the money to afford themselves full access to the western healthcare system.
Doesn’t that give you a clue?
Can you list on one hand the number of your relatives who have lived past 90 years old and Done so with their health intact without being addicted to a dozen pills an extended hospital stage.
    Prescriptions are an industry.
If you knew what food meant to your health, you would start taking better care of your body by preventing yourself from being sick in the first place, and not needing as a result of neglect prescriptions to sustain yourself.
Once again, this is the idea of healthcare.
Sustaining yourself using pharmaceuticals is not curing a single thing.
Again they do not call it health cure.
They call that healthcare and understanding this Enlightens any halfway intelligent person to the truth of this industry.
It’s not that they hope to keep you as a patient while not at the same time as a customer.
Just remember that when you walk into a doctors office, they’re not going to talk to you about your Ayurveda Dosha or how they have classified your needs based on Chinese medicine in order to provide solutions for you.
They are going to try to figure out how to prescribe your medication’s that will make you chronically dependent on more medications to fix the symptoms derived from the chronic use of the medication’s themselves.
We called the side effects of drugs.
Why are doctors who are responsible for managing our health needs so complacent with not even being able to determine our nutritional needs.
Why are they constantly focused on fixing things that don’t need to be broken in the first place.
Why is it that most of their solutions involve a tremendous amount of expense When a home garden can solve most of these problems before they even occur.
    It’s all about money.
When you start losing loved ones you will wake up to this fact.
Your life is a gift and the only thing you can ever own in this life is your body And even that is temporary. It’s more like a lease than it is an outright ownership. care enough about yourself to take care of your body your capacity to enjoy. This life is very dependent on your health being a powerful person in the sense of having the capacity to live well is quite dependent on your capacity to manage all aspects of self.
Your physical self is all about the state of health of your body.
There is an associated comparison to be made for your mind and your spirit.
Ultimately, the soul and its state is a result of how you’ve lived multiple lives.
Love your body and experience God through your physicality don’t listen to the preacher man who takes your money and spends it on his mistress.
Listen to your body it is trying to communicate with you. When you are sick and have pain that is a form of communication please listen
Listen to those who understand Chinese medicine and can give you a pathway that keeps you away from doctors because all they care about is protocol.
Protocol is established by those who make hundreds of billions of dollars medicating you and hospitalizing you.
Wouldn’t you rather spend time with your family in nature than in a hospital bed with an occasional visit from those whom you love?
Love your body love the pure and true sense of God, (within his Hinduism. We have a very good reference as to what God is and or should be) I will not try to convince you of any spiritual system or religion. This is your personal task and I trust that you will make the right decision by adapting a process of sincere awareness,. love your life, and think of all of it as the most beautiful gift.
The way that you walk and the way that you speak and the way that you treat those you love should be a form of art .Be aware of how to do this and you will live well.

So, I am more of a fan of physicians that practice integrative medicine vs straight western medicine or straight functional medicine. Integrative medical doctors use research supported interventions from both. Western medicine misses the mark by ignoring the importance of dietary and environmental factors on health and disease. Functional medicine often dismisses the valuable interventions of Western medicine. And, the problem with specialists, especially if you have multiple specialists, is the lack of communication between them.

It is critical to use functional (integrative) medicine when you are seriously ill.
Dr. Berg does have some good information, but you must take responsibility for doing more research yourself.
Modern medicine was not enough to save me & my children. In fact, many genetic illnesses are only treatable via nutrition/supplements. Personally, the nutritionists we’ve seen in big hospitals push the western food pyramid and have no education in genomics and how a sound diet plan must consider your ancestral background.
Luckily, I have the resources & science education to do laboratory & imaging testing to show how alternative medicine has made a change in my health.

Two people close to me have issues with statins and muscle pain with weakness. My NON diabetic 94 year old grandma is one of them. Yet they're still giving her statins among a multitude of others of which most she can do without.
The point I'm making is they've been pumping her full of medications for 10 years now. Did they do some damage her brain and organs? Probably. Did a few of them help her live longer? Possibly. The rest of them didn't extend her life or improve her quality of life.
Statins are overprescribed and overhyped. Gabapentin is also.
I listened to a cardiologist make fun of a patient who was worried about the side effects of statins. I've listened to what many doctors say behind patients' backs. The condescension towards people's ability to do their own research and have a discussion with their doctor is common among the medical community.
Most of us who watch these videos are quite capable of listening to various doctors and piecing various information together. We're also aware of how much we may be missing.
I'll leave you with this. The medical community is producing and enabling arrogant cookbook medicine practitioners. There are fantastic doctors out there but they're in the minority.
I won't even go through the rest of this video. It's too much.
Calling out another doctor and giving a gradeschool level presentation to his viewers to get clicks is disappointing because I was interested in watching your videos.

as said, all medications can cause some side effects, but lets dont ignore the benefits and closely report the frequency of side effects.
Agree that in your 94 years old grandma, quality of life is more important and over medication can be an issue!

Hey sis- I lost 145 lbs listening to Dr Berg and reversed my health. When you can produce the same stuff then criticize him…. How many people have you helped like me???? Put up or shut up.

Now with the gallbladder my Dr took mine out without even telling me anything about anything before surgery and after. Now I was very young when he took mine out. And I didn't know to even question him. I agree my fault but he should of schooled me I've learned so very much from Dr Berg then any Dr I've ever been to.

here are the reason that many physicians are not on TH-cam
1.they not allowed by their institutions to be on social media
      2. they do not have the time and knowledge to record and post on the youtube, they are busy seeing patients
3, they are afraid to be on youtube because people can attack them as you can see there is a great disconnect between patients and physicians these days....and there are many reasons for that!
