Little flashback from 2009! It really was a hard life back then, makes you appreciate all the things we have.

Ghost towns are always so interesting. This one has so many buildings still standing compared to some that maybe only have one or two left. Glad it is now preserved. Great tour Randy!

Thanks for checking out the video! Not spending as much time on TH-cam, but still hope to stop by occasionally and visit your channel. You guys are among the very few that I have followed from the beginning.

Yes, I know the name Daniel Boone. Surprisingly, he closely resembled Fess Parker.😏All kidding aside, this video was very well put together, Randy & Julie. Thanks for taking us along.

This place has been on my list of places to go for a while. This confirms that it’s definitely a place I need to see.

Nice tour of the place. I haven't found the time to visit here yet. I enjoyed watching your trip out there 😊

That's quite a large town! Surprised that this many buildings still exist. Glad it wasn't a ghost town back then, lol. The story may have been very different if that was the case. Guess the "do not steal" message didn't get across to everyone, lol. The old truck by the gas station was awesome! Great video Randy, really learned a lot from this one!

This was a really interesting place to see. There was so much money in the gold mining industry. They mentioned how they had the best food to eat and even electricity in a day when that was not common. Definitely a highlight of our trip.

You'd pull up some amazing finds, but do believe it's not permitted there.

We’ve never quite had the time to get up there (weather too). Fascinating - I walked through an old plantation today - the history is humbling.

I would love to visit some of them old ghost towns! Hilarious someone stealing the ten commandments 😅
Maybe that's the best thing for them to steal who knows maybe they were convicted afterwards 😅
    Thanks for the tour!

Still have yet to visit there. We had the chance in 2020 when we visited mono lake but it was closed due to COVID. The Eastern sierra is so full of great places to explore. Loved it.

Nice video! I've been there a few times. My first trip was way back in the early 70’s and that church was opened and I remember walking right up to that pulpet, I can remember one of the stores open so you can walk in, schoolhouse was too. Shortly afterwards one wasn't able to do those things. The road was a bit rougher in those days and you can keep on going into Nevada from there. This is a great place to see an authentic gold town.

fantastic video, Roxana and i thoroughly enjoyed this extensive tour. what a year for it with the amazing deep greens from the rains and the snow on the mountains in the distance. the larger view of the town is stunning. Fascinating to think how many more buildings and homes there were when it held 10,000 people. We pass the area regularly, but for various reasons mainly that it is usually pretty cool up there and we're in the area for Heat we have not been but sure is fun to get a look at it this way. What a huge mining operation! thanks for sharing

We were there in September 2019 and it looked so different. Not so green as on your video.
But it was one of our best moments on our west coast tour.

Great to hear! Yeah, was blessed by the massive rain/snow that the area had experienced.
