Yes. Top water table experts! Amazing work. Country is undergoing severe water crisis. These people can alter the situation. No problem if govt is not responding or delaying, private agencies, NGOs must come forward and start working right away under their guidance. Govt response takes time. It's time for us to play the concerned citizens and motivate and help the govt instead. These people are common villagers with very high standard of thinking! We should follow their footmarks!

When I was growing up in a village in Kerala, most houses were of one to two acres of land. In each house, there was a pond. Then there were bigger ponds attached to temples where people went to take bath. The village then always had water. Now things are different. Houses are in small plots. Ponds are not there anywhere. Water problems have started despite the fact that Kerala has two monsoons. In June July and in November.

People here are commenting that deserts should be converted into these green Areas.
People don't know that deserts are also very important. The monsoon of India is dependent on Our Thar Desert.
So It's a very bad idea to eliminate desert.
Although we should do efforts to stop desertification. We should plants more trees around the desert not in the desert.
Although I love the efforts of rain water harvesting.
    Good work 🙏🙏🙏🙏

    • @irmar
      @irmar หลายเดือนก่อน

Yes but there is much more desert now than there was a century or two ago, because people cut trees and overgrazed land and built concrete cities. The useful deserts are a much smaller area than what exists today, So it's not only about stopping at our current situation, but going back a century or two, when green coverage was optimum.
More trees equal more rain, because of the moisture they release into the atmosphere.

1- as an Egyptian I now understand how pharaohs turned Egypt from arid land to habitable land bit by bit .
2- the understanding of old and traditional methods of life can save the world a lot of money and resources
3- they need to grow fish in those ponds as I imagine the mosquito would be a problem with such large water bodies and fish eliminates this problem while giving them extra food to harvest .
4- the spirit of initiative and leadership is soooo important those people would've been a group of poor thirsty starving bunch today 2021 if it wasn't for God's mercy then one mans initiative and thoughts .

Further; the newly created biodiversity helps naturally in the reduction of pasture-/ agricultural pests. Superbly smart.
    I - & hopefully many other people - will propagate Lapodia's innovation & smartness in water- & pasture-management.

This is awesome, great stuff. I've always wondered why rain harvesting isn't more common. Here they cut the water off for hours sometimes during the summertime, but yet we have HUGE rainfall in the rainy season. I'll we'd need is a reservoir to harvest water from regular rainwater.

This is real progress, I phones and other silly gadgets are nothing. This system should be adopted world wide. My home Australia would benefit from such practices. India is fortunate to have large populations of people who can be motivated to carry out these works. Well done.

This is why politicians don't want us to unite but keep us divided on religious, caste & class lines.

Thumbs up, liked and greetings and respect to Laxman Singh Ji.
