      Maa'm.
1.Piyush Manush is a fake environmental activist. Claims require evidences. He promised that he would revive a lake. Our Tamil people gave him sufficient financial support through online platforms. The result was the lake became worse. He went away with no response.
      th-cam.com/video/XBAYmtPEPIQ/w-d-xo.html
      2. Months before an organisation called by the name 'isha' bagged guiness record for making largest no. of students(in the locality of Salem) in an afforestation drive. Immediately Piyush jumped to this and started spreading rumour that 'not even a single tree was planted'. He has an ocean of media. Before someone can become aware of his rumour the many medias already made the damage.
      th-cam.com/video/UhLmHHCnDtk/w-d-xo.html
      3. Sadhguru and his co made an entire forest in Salem. Piyush Manush then gives a surprising counter that because of the forest Sadhguru created there may be a possibility of stopping calcium and magnesium flow to the soil. That was very weird reaction. Even if someone comes and does afforestation and happens to be a mystic piyush does not encourage them. For evidence kindly see the before video.
      4. Piyush Manush became famous by the name "environmental activist " and Ted-talks that he was given a chance to work with famous Actor Vijay. He got the chance to do the role of "environment. activist." Then a breaking news from all tamil news channels came. It was a news that Piyush Manush had been not paying his rent for years. He was arrested. However he came out with bail.
      th-cam.com/video/QQrQQY6TyGo/w-d-xo.html
      5. He accused Isha of grabbing elephant corridors without evidence. The case reaced Tamil Nadu High Court. From sadhguru side the lawyers submitted google maps of past years + forest maps from international organisation+ map from Tamil Nadu forest dept. .

Incredible work. Finally someone actually mentions project costs, its incredible how much governments waste in implementing almost any project, in any field, in any part of the world. Would be nice to see some of the economic benefits laid out for projects like this, increased value of lakefront real estate, increased cooling effect from the water bodies, money saved from water recharge and the prolonged use for household ground water supplies during dry periods. Always constantly amazed by the incredible hydrology projects completed by communities across India.

This is nothing short of a miracle. People in Tamil Nadu are well known for their intelligence. If only district administration and the local bodies have a right inclination and positive attitude towards such social initiatives by enlightened citizens, then no work would be too big to accomplish. It is the job of celebrities to get involved whole heartedly in such endeavours and throw in their weight to gather mass support for such social service. Those volunteers and the organisers who could produce this miracle deserve to be congratulated profusely.

I will tell you why they disliked it, the fact that the tax paying people had to come up and do this thing and it is being celebrated ( it is very good that these things should be celebrated), and the civic body did nothing just gave them the orders. I mean why the hell these IAS exams are so tough when the collector just signs papers and not run their department properly.

That said, the real test would perhaps be the consistency of maintenance and how far the collective enthusiasm would have trickle down effect on other inextricably linked areas that are in desperate need of reformative actions.

Well, to be fair they understand it all very very well. Which is precisely the reason why it doesn't happen. As the top boss stands to:
Lose revenue (land acquisition for construction or mining)
Has to work harder (look for better ways to dump garbage)
Lose out on kickbacks (the price difference of many folds was explained in the video, they stand to lose that).
Which is why big cities will never has projects like this unfortunately.

"They speak in 50 crores, 42 crores, 55 crores. I don't know why it costs so much..."
Although volunteering work reduces the cost involving human resources, but everyone knows why the Government contracts are inflated by a tune of 500% to 1000% then what it really costs. Let's take this as example and calculate. I approximated all the costs; they might differ or more itemized work may also be needed in reality.
Let X be total project cost
Equipment cost: 20% of X (22L, same as ground reality)
    Material cost: 20% of X
Architecture and planning: 10% of X
    Contractor margin: 20% of X
Government officers salaries involved in project: 5% of X
Quality and assurance: 5% of X
    Logistics: 10% of X
Other costs I am not aware: 10% of X
So here total amount comes to 22/0.2=1.10Cr or let’s assume as 10% its 2.20Cr. You can see how much is going to corrupt politicians and contractors

Well, today the eligibility criteria is how many people you've murdered or how much communal hatred you've managed to spread or which family you've been born into.
The volunteers of Salem lake do not fit any of that, so are not eligible for our offices.

India has been taking a lot of environmental actions that are worth emulating by the rest of the world. Progress needs no destruction but protection and care for the environment for it to be achieved. And this right here is just one of the many great examples that Indians have contributed to the world.
I admire these people deep in my heart ♥️♥️♥️
