More rare animals: Cats that throw up on tile when carpet is available. Horses that won't spook because of a plastic bag existing near them. Dogs that bark only when there is an actual stranger at the door. You sound just like me when I was little. I've always loved animals, and I had little 3 dachshund dogs, a cat, and guinea pigs when I was small. When my 5 kids were little we had dogs, cats and guinea pigs and now that my grandson is grown up (we had dogs, cats but no guinea pigs when he lived with me) I now have 6 cats. I can't have dogs because the cats don't like them. Son, study hard and always stay curious. Even if you learn just 1 new fact per day and write it down in a book, it could be something like learning about the beautiful makaw's that have just started breeding in the wild for the first time in over 3 decades, then at the end of the year you'll have 365 new things you know that you didn't know the year before. Even though I'm older now, I still try and learn something new every day, and you will NEVER stop learning! I think you have a great hero in Forrest! You take care now mate! I started my life pretty early with animals but they were mainly wild Animals, In 1975 when I was about 10 or nearer to 11 years old our family moved next door to Yarrawonga Zoo near Darwin were my mother ran a large Boarding Kennel for Dogs and Cats, I had one pet though more a partner being my Horse that I was learning to play Polo Cross on . My Dad always being a bit wild from living in Arnhem Land and Groote Eylandt ( An Island ) and was a 1960s / 70s Steve Irwin Type he decided to go back to Animal conservation and Breeding by catching any type of animals needed by the NT Government and to supply EVERY type of animal needed by Yarrawonga Zoo,.
So at nearly 11 I started ( Not By Choice ) going out every weekend with my Dad into the Northern Territory Swamps, Dams, Meandering Rivers that went from Fresh to Salt Water and we even went often into the Tanami Desert looking for Desert Bred Lizards like the Thorny Devil,s and Skinks Catch Owls, Eagles, Hawks, Buffalo, Eastern, Western and Central Brown Snakes, Death Adders and Massive Diamond Python's , Emu's and to many to mention. Of Course caught Fresh and Salt Water Crocodiles. I most of all really didn't quite like holding the Snake Bag while Dad would lower a Dangerous Snake into it Head First and the Bag being No More than a King Size Pillow Case. A Goanna around the same size of me were a little worrying and scary when they would chase you instead as were Desert Dragons and Frilled-Neck Lizards that liked to run over the Top of You 🤪, I also snorkeled of the Darwin rocks in the suburb of Nightcliff catching small tropical Fish to sell for aquariums.
Dad and I stopped being crazy when I was 14 plus at 14 I had already had my 4th Job in the Building Industry Lost Dad when he was only 43 He was my Step Dad From when I was 5 which made him a young Dad but my only Dad. He Started me in Construction on school Holidays at 12 and Cattle Station work in Newcastle Waters Station and He Had me working full time at 13yrs old. I finished Retiring very early as a Heavy Industries Mechanical Fitter in the Shipping and Mining Industry when I was only 48 from Head Trauma From A Idiot Coward Punching me, I didn't even see it coming But my body would have gave in 10 years later anyway but 10 years would have made me a extra Million Dollars Huh,,, I Miss Dad and I am now 58 though feel much older, I would love to live as long as my maternal Grandfather did at 98 yrs old But I don't think he worked a hard day in his life. 😄😄

Keep up the good work!! I have been watching you for a long time now and I even almost meet you a month ago at the Wonders Of Wildlife National Museum & Aquarium. I ran into your camera guy😅. I love what you do because I want to do something related to outdoors when I am older. I also make my own fishing swim baits and was hooked on fishing and the outdoors since I was 3 years old. I would stand in a stream that came off of a bigger river. There was a small dam like structure to the side of the actual dam and every year white bass would go up stream and try to cross the little dam. I would just start grabbing them like a kid at a candy store and let them go on the other side of the dam. It would truly be a dream come true to finally meet you face to face!!

Such a intriguing video I love your work Forrest, I’m all the way in Australia 🇦🇺 but liked commented and subscribed to go in the Draw, would be a once in a life time experience fingers crossed 🤞 keep up the great work mate, I want to get on board with a conservation organisation, recently pondering about ideas on road barriers to help with our native wombats here in Australia so much roadkill it’s unbelievable

Your tortoise episode was one of my favorites it's so crazy how it happened and how you guys had to get it in the boat. I think the tortoise. thylacine ,big turtle, the sharks and the big wolf are my favorite episodes but i can't remember all of them, They're all good though, definitely one of my favorite programs I wish they'd pick it back up and let you shoot a couple more seasons :)

As an Australian that grew up watching and loving Steve Irwin, I'm incredibly grateful for what Forrest does and am kind of saddened that Steve Irwin isn't alive today because i believe that Forrest and Steve together would of been able to really change the world together in terms of wildlife conservation
