The fact those two cave lion cubs, died probably in a similar way, 50ft from each other, 15,000 years apart, and humans managed to stumble on that is absolutely astonishing.

I’m unsure what’s calling me to complete the triad of actions necessary for contest submission with a comment destined for obscurity in this comment section, but Lord knows I could use an adventure. I share your level of passion for wildlife, and as a 25-year-old man, it’s one of the only things that, for days, I can learn about with enthusiasm, like my brain’s still a sponge, and talk about for hours, like time doesn’t exist. From theories I have on evolution, cryptids, hominids, etc., phenomena such as myths of dragons hundreds of years before dinosaur discoveries, new discoveries on plants and their sentience, and our role in their survival and evolution, possible roles they play in forming our species’ intelligence through the ‘stoned ape’ hypothesis. Ugh, I’m doing it now. Suffice to say, you’re an inspiration to me and countless others who’ve stumbled onto your work and share your passions, but also to those who stick around because you make it fun, and your energy’s infectious! I wish I had the ability to get out of my own head and have an adventure like the countless ones I’m grateful to experience digitally vicariously through you, and so I’d love nothing more than to get out in the water, pick your mind, and catch some big ones 🎣! But, if I’m not selected, I still owe you a huge thanks and look forward to checking in on all your next projects, and truly wish you the best in all your present and future endeavors! 💯

I heard Australian people are witnessing the previously extinct Tasmanian tigers in the wild just in the recent year or two. Then I found out that the Colossal Biosciences company which was founded in 2021, launched the Tasmanian Thylacine Advisory Committee, a thylacine research project to release Tasmanian tiger joeys back to their original Tasmanian and broader Australian habitat after a period of observation in captivity. This company is really changing the world.

2:52 I feel like this would be animal cruelty because they were meant to live in colder climates than what we have so they would most likely live constantly feeling like they're overheating and can't cool down enough to ever be comfortable

Keep doing God's work Forrest you're an amazing human being ! Over the years you have opened my eyes to animals vanishing, extinct animals being rediscovered and the search for many many species thank you !

Rogan turned me onto Forrest years ago on their first pod and I friggin love this dude. Seen every episode of his shows and try to watch every pod. I think all of my random animal facts are because of Forrest lol 😂
