Best advice I ever got when starting out DJing at 20, 12 years ago now, was to learn on a pair of turntables, had just used traktor and the x1 controller and a cheap mixer up ‘til then. Sourced some 1210’s for £300 in amazing condition with lids (imagine that today) and got a Traktor scratch set up to help as I was building my collection, 3000 records later and I’m a much better DJ for following that advice in my eyes (no, I’m not putting down those who solely use CDJ’s or use controllers) But owning that particular record is just the best, especially when you’ve wanted it for ages and finally a copy has come up on Discogs At a fair price in NM condition, nothing beats it!
